I built an animation with actionscript 3 that I want to use as a welcome page for a website.I put the animation in DW cs3 and it works but i don't know how to make it "clickable" to link it to my website's index!
View 8 RepliesI have created two buttons (Button1 and Button2). When you click Button1, an animation pops up. You click on the animation to close it - that works fine. If I then click on Button1 again to replay the animation, the animation does not show. If I click on Button2 THEN go back to click on Button1, the animation plays. Why can I not click that same button twice in a row? What am I doing wrong?
View 2 RepliesI created a movieclip animation that only activates when i rollover the movieclip button. I further extended the frames and created another frame animation that i active only when user clicks the button. So i have a roll over/out animation and click animation in the same movieclip in the same layer. Now the problem is that when i click on the button, its supposed to take me to another page, and it does, unfortunately without the click animation. That means after i click on the button its supposed to first finish the click animation and then go to another page. But when i click, it takes me to another page without showing the click animation
SO I tried the If function, but i seem to make a mistake somewhere and i dont know what to do. Now there is no error in script, but onw there is a problem in link, the button finishes the click animation but it does not go to the tarrgeted"about" frame. here's the code

I've got a flash animation attached which I added a layer to and follow the post at [URL] to try and make it go to a url when the layer is clicked.
You can see the animation at [URL] but when it is clicked on, instead of going to the site I specify [URL] it goes to [URL]
I'm nearly at the end of my tether here - have tried it in flash cs3 trial with a number of tutorials online,. and I also just bought Koolmoves, tried it as well but it does exactly the same this. I've set Flash 8 export and network access in publish options
I do have four picture and 4 buttons which I need to place on the picture. Iam using the buttons to navigate through the pictures so that if I click button 3 - picture 3 shows up - NOT in a new frame.
View 2 Repliesafter i done all the animations and i want to paste it another fla. the movie clip animation positions not in the stage anymore, after i click on the timeline of the movie clip, it set path the movie clip to -8000+ X and Y. even i want to set to any number, it pop out invalid position. i have to use mouse drag the number back to position that i want. it's totally drive me crazy... really unstable.. sometimes i open back my fla, the movie clip position run too and i need to use transform tool double click set back to 0.

He asked me to make an animation on the homepage to show at start a world image / a globe (just the company logo) that "expands", like if it opens (from behind) into a plain map (which is another image) of the world and then show a text over it. I know and develop in PHP / MYSQL / Photoshop / JQuery effects/plugin but sadly (are we sure ? :P ) I know nothing about flash and actionscript.
So I was wondering if you could guide me to what to do, where should I start?Consider I video edit since 2003ish so I'm not lost here, I was thinking making a video about it and the show it on the page but doesn't feel like a good solution considering that the last frame should be static and more importantly the file size!. Is at least possible to do it in Flash?
I have an advantage over this situation though: I learn fast, so speak up :) what should I do?
I just started playing around with as3 and I have a function for mouse clicks that draws a shape on each click. However the mouse click event does not appear to work unless I click a movieClip object I placed in the middle of the screen. Is there a way to make the mouse click event recognize when I click anywhere on the screen?

I currently made a flash animation. the background is the only one that is animated and scrolls to the right. But my problem is why it lags? Is there any way to not make it lag? here's a link of the swf file you can view: http:[url]......I tried it on a high spec pc and it does not lag when it is in normal screen(640x480) but when I view it in full screen it lags. There are no scripts or anything in this file just animation.

This code is ok to call many Swf's, but not to place them at a special timing. I would like to have a Timing control on them, like:
Mc01.swf plays X sec, then stop. Then Mc02.swf plays X sec, then stop. Then Mc03.swf plays X sec, etc...
I played around quite a bit and came up with exactly the effect I was looking for. Basically a movie clip with floating icons that come in and out of the stage. All was done in actionScript 3.0 and Code Snippets. There is no timeline per se, using the classic timeline view it is only one keyframe, the animation lasts for about 45 seconds.
I want the animation to loop continueously. Even in the HTML output I did click Loop Cont. under Publish settings. That does not work either.

At the moment but it seems to randomly jump between frames even tho I have it set to the last frame of my animation..Also it doesn't play when I close my browser and open it again.. It seems never to play for me even if I clear my cookies.
I know already that Double click event is not available for iOS(iPhone, iPad).But for example google map or other drawing applications have function of double click to scale up.

The way I constructed the code heBecause each Movie Clip is individually handled, I was explained by Ned Murphy on this forum that I need to insert code for each individual clip to send it back to start when it comes off the stage because it is structured to go to infinity with the movie symbols continuing on their path.I get that. ittle code to add was provided for an example clip that started at the top of the stage and went down, then when it goes off the stage, go back. In this case it was for MovieClip_1 (Out of 15) The red was the additional code (Provided by Ned Murphy who is IMHO a Guru here) that was added :

I am trying to make a flash banner with a picture on the right that is covered with blinds and opens when the page loads. Then on the left side of the banner I have some text that I want to fade in after the picture loads and stops, I don't have a clue as to what I am doing wrong I can get the picture to loads and the blinds to open, but when I attempt to add the text fade in to it I no longer have my picture, although the text fade-in works fine. I am rather new to Flash and I have been work ing ont his for 3 days with no luck.

View 16 RepliesI am looking for real simple scripting - I have a 15-25 frame flash tweened animation and all I would like to do is run thru the animation once then on mouse click go to frame one and start again. And of course I am under a time crunch and completely fogged with actionscript 3.0. I did some basic projects back in the director days and thought I could just pick up where I left off. If I remember right it was simple scripting like
gotoFrame
and
pause
etc...
I got my animation ready, now I just want to export it as Flash movie, and make it play on click. How do I do this?
