ActionScript 3.0 :: Video Freezes - But The Sound Is Still On?
Sep 13, 2011
I am streaming user cameras through fms server. And sometimes (I don't know when) the picture of some camera freezes, but the sound is still on.I think that something is wrong with Video object, because if I recreate Video object to freezed camera (with the same stream) the picture starts again.
I had an flv recording from a webcam. It mostly recorded fine, but there's one point where I paused the broadcast for an intermission.A few minutes later the broadcast started again but the video doesn't play beyond that point, only audio plays.A few minutes later in the recording the broadcast switched to another camera and the video starts playing again just fine from there.I can't seek past the frozen point either to skip a couple of seconds ahead. The freeze is at about 9:00.If I seek to 9:01 it jumps ahead 8 minutes to where the camera switches. What's strange in this is that the video is *definitely* in the file.Using Moyea's FLV Editor Pro I converted the FLV to an MPEG and the whole video is there, so it's not that the camera stopped transmitting, it's just that the playback isn't working.
I have a flv which is in the same root folder as my exe. I have a navigation bar which takes me to the specific point in the timeline where the video is. Once the video comes up it plays for 1 second and then freezes. If I manually scrub the timeline past that point the video will continue and loop as intended, but right off the bat everytime the video freezes?
I'm at a complete stand still, Have tried reinstalling flash player, tried installing old versions of Flash player, nothing seems to fix it.
I just noticed it while working on a new project. When I enter fullscreen with fullscreeensourcerect in Internet Explorer and then exit again, there are leftovers (artifacts) from the video still visible where they should not be. I have attached a screenshot to demonstrate. The same flash movie works in firefox withouth these artifacts staying onscreen. Internet Explorer Version: 8.0.6001.18702Firefox Version: 3.5.7Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 (Driver version: 195.62)
The project (Flash CD) is compiled of activities and videos. There are several videos in a row and they all load as external swfs. The third video freezes about mid-way through, but sometimes it doesn't - and then it's the other videos that freeze and are really jittery. Apparently the CD doesn't work on particular operating systems... But shouldn't that just be their hardware? The exe and swf's are all flash player 9. Even when I run the project locally it freezes. What's going on? How can I fix this?
I inserted a video into my movie clip. It freezes sometimes if internet connection is not fast enough but freezes at any frame. I want a loading icon displayed once it stops and disappear when it continues.
We are running FMS 4.0 to stream on-demand MBR videos using the OSMF player. We have noticed that occasionally during playback the video freezes, while the audio skips back a few seconds and starts playing. Once the audio catches up, the video unfreezes and resumes normal playback.
I am using progressive download to play video files in a video player. When I seek to a point that has not downloaded yet the video player freezes. The player enters the seeking state and stops playing.Clicking the play and pause buttons has no effect. The video player comes out of the seeking state and resumes playing only when the video file has completely downloaded. How do I implement the functionality where the player when seeked to a point that has not downloaded simply seeks back to the amount that has downloaded.
Recently any flash videos I watch keep freezing even when the video is fully buffered. The sound continues to play but the picture stops. It can jerk into life after a few seconds but then it'll freeze again and keep doing this for the duration of the video. I have no problems on my Windows PCs on the same web connection.[code]...
So I built a videochat client that uses the adobe stratus protocol. Its very simple and just connects two users. However, after about a minute of video chatting the clients freeze and the browser crashes.what might have caused this? Is there some sort of cache that I need to clear every so often or a possible memory leak? I am not sure where to start
I have a Net Stream object that I am using to stream video from an Amazon Flash Media Streaming service. The video makes a connection and plays fine but randomly it seems to just freeze and the only way to get it to work again is to re-establish the connection. I have tried to put other videos in that amazon bucket as well and they seem to play fine. this happens when it is in .FLV form and .mp4 format.
I have set the buffer time to be 5 seconds and i watch the output of the buffer to see the % of full it is. when the problem occurs the buffer 5 goes from 100 to 0 and then it throws a Buffer fail error (i'm using OVP framework).I have come to the conclusion that it is either a video encoding problem or perhaps there is a firewall issue that blocks the data from getting through.
I'm having trouble getting the Video class to work.. Everything works fine until I try to add an on enter frame event listener to the movie. I basically want to overlay an effect that gets updated every frame but adding the event listener causes the movie to freeze before it loads or on the first frame or just shortly after starting play back.. Check out the source code at [URL]
It freezes even if the enter frame method body is commented out so I don't think it's because of extra overhead..
I have an flash application that captures a web cam video stream and stores it on the FMS server.I notice when I create a brand new video, and store it on my FMS server, it works fine. When I make another video and my application overrides the file with the new video, this is where I get problems. When I download the flv file from the FMS server, and I play it locally it plays fine, but the timeline is weird. The web player freezes the video during that first 15 seconds.A 30 second video, will have a time line of like 45 seconds, the local flv player is smart enough to skip over the paused part of the video. You will see it skip over the timeline to the good video (from 0sec to 15 secs). The web player freezes the video during that first 15 seconds.
I am using a flash app. I can send and receive streaming data to FMS by using this app, like the chart I attached. [URL] This app uses RTMP to access to FMS. I want to upgrade this app to display sound level of each client. Is it possible by using Actionscript and FMS? If so, which class should I use?
I have a website [URL] when I go there if I click the video archives button then play a video then click on the home or photos button or one of the alternate background buttons on the left the video goes away as it should but not always the audio (especially when I click while the video is still buffering). Is there a command I can use to kill the sound from the flvPlayback component and nothing else(I have a mp3 player there also I so I don't want to use the SoundMatrix class. btw the videos are all played on an instance of the flvPlayback component.
I have an AS3 video player I've put together using fairly standard Netstream method and it plays my flv's fine. The problem is, the sound quality varies wildly depending on who is looking at it. When I test locally, the audio in the video is fine, but on a windows machine it goes horrifically loud to the point of distortion, also the client (outside the UK) has said it sounds fine to them, so It appears to be only happening here.
I need to produce a photo review show (basically, a photo slide show), which incorporates still photography, and numerous video clips. We will have music playing in the background (not on the timeline - in the actionscript). The full presentation will run automatically - no user interaction, and therefore, I need the background music to automatically fade out when the video starts, and then fade back in when the video ends.
1. Is Flash CS5 the correct software to do this in?
2. code to tell the sound to fade out when the video starts, and fade back in when the video ends?
I attached the code here. The problem is after importing the video in the first frame while navigating the video sound is heard which means the video is still playing. How can I stop it when moving to other section. Here is code
I'm using a flvplayback component in flash cs4. The sound from the mp4 video plays fine, but the video doesn't play. I don't know how to check the specific encoding of the mp4. I'm publishing to flash player 10 at 24fps.
are you able to scrub an mp3 sound with a slider bar? im looking through the Sound class but there appears to be no properties that would aid in that (like NetStream.time())
In my website i have some videos. When i import the video.swf to my main swf. everything works fine. But if i navigate away from the video part the video goes away but the sound keeps playing.
I dont want to use the flash.media.SoundMixer.stopAll() function becasue i have a jukebox player that i want to work inbetween. and dotn want it to stop when you navigate the menu. It only stops when you go to Videos.
Here is the code i use:
var image:Loader = new Loader(); addChild(image); image.x = 95;
[Code]......
What can i put in the news button to make the sound from the video stop.
im currently building a site with 3 buttons and each buttons loads an external swf for each section of the site on a empty movie clip, im having an issue with the video section that has an video thumb gallery loading flv videos,
every time i try to go somewhere else in the site, the video sound continues to play (loop) behind the scene.
this is the actionscript code im using for my buttons.
I have a flash video (.flv) that auto plays upon page entry... and the user also has the ability to view a second video (by clicking on link on webpage)... it opens a SOLIDBOX (similar to floatbox) window and plays the second video... which is great.
But unfortunately the AUDIO/Video from the initial video (behind solidbox POP UP) is still playing. A savvy user would realize this and stop the other video, but unfortunately, to make it user friendly for our customers, we need it to automatically stop the initial video.
How can this be accomplished? How can i stop the initial video when the link on the webpage is clicked (opening the pop up with second video playing)?
You can see this all in action here:[URL]
(notice the video upon entry starts playing... then click on the yellow starburst (DEMO GREETING linK) to open the second video)
I have noticed a very frustrating error in flash lately. I will be watching a video in full screen mode...on any site...then all of the sudden, the video freezes and the sound continues. This does not fix automatically. I have to minimize the video from full screen to default size and then the video unfreezes and I can then go back to full screen mode. However, eventually I have to repeat this because the video freezes again.
This happens in Firefox 3.5.6 and Chrome 4.0.249.43. I am near certain I can get this to happen in any browser but I don't use other browsers to play videos so I have not tested my theory. All I know is that the problem is very consistent.
I am using Flash Player 10 ActiveX version 10.0.32.18 in XP Pro SP3.
I am loading swf's that have an flv embedded on the timeline. When the user selects from the menu I unload the swf and load another. This is working fine, but the audio from the first swf's video keeps playing. How can I kill this first videos audio track?
I've designed an interactive quiz that has 10 questions, and for each question 3 possible answers (obviously only one of which is right), however I'd like to add some sound to certain questions and a small video clip. The only issue I'm having, and I've not been able to get my head around. I've loaded all the questions and answers into arrays, and used the random function to display them in a different order each time, and because of this I'm having trouble figuring out how I'll be able to implement the use of sound and video into the project.
I'll post the code so far below as to give a better idea of what I'm trying to do, and what I've done so far.
