ActionScript 3.0 :: Creating Selection Border Around Sprite Based Object
Oct 22, 2010I'm trying to make a little program. It works right now by drawing the top shape to the dark gray area, where it then copies itself and changes color. The new shape can be re-dragged as well. What I want to do now is add a dynamic border when I click on the new object, I want the box to adjust to an appropriate size. And on mouse release I want the selection border to disappear on the new shape. I want the selection border to be dashed much like you find in many of Adobe's programs, if at all possible.

Nov 15, 2009My code is on the main timeline.I call a function loop to draw lines between them.The lines are drawing between the right x, y values BUT between those values on the main stage, not those values within the kite.For example, dot1_mc is at x100, y0 inside kite. the line that should go from its center, draws from stage x100, 0.How do I draw the lines inside kite so that they draw between the dots?Heres my code that draws the linesPHP Code:

AS3 :: Points & Lines - Getting Lines To Follow Points As They Are Dragged?
Jul 21, 2010I am trying to create a mindmap where the user can drag points about the screen. I have gotten as far as drawing the line via actionscript, and drag+drop the points (defined as movie clips on stage). This is the existing script - I don't know how to get the lines to follow the points. Something to do with ENTER_FRAME or updateAfterEvent?

CS3 :: Visible Text Box Border?
Jul 27, 2007I've been doing some simple text fades by keyframing the alpha values. Everything is fine on the stage, but when I publish it I can see a slightly translucent bounding box around the text. It's even visible on text I haven't animated. All it has is a play/stop button, and a volume control, which control a mp3 Playback Component.However, everytime I click anything within the flash movie, a little focus border appears around my flash movie. You know how when you press tab on the keyboard to switch between different elements in a program, such as different buttons, and that little dotted border appears on the button you are on? Well, that happens to me, and I am not sure why or how to get rid of it.

Jun 22, 2010When I import a psd layered file I get an unwanted (red) border appearing around the art and as a box around the art. This doesn't exist in the psd file, but appears in the flash file. Should I convert and import it as something else? Is it a resolution setting in flash?
