Apparently it is not part of Flex 3SDK for Linux (which is what I am using to compile) or maybe it is and I am not importing it correctly..I downloaded this SDK last March, maybe time for update?
Looking at Adobe Official Docs for fl.controls does not mention that this library is somehow restricted.
In particular, I was looking for fl.controls.UIScrollBar type of functionality

Oct 15, 2010I have an issue with an Mp3 player that I've built. The volume controls work fine in the original mp3 swf, but then when I load it into a movieclip in a different movieclip, it no longer works. I've tried the lockroot function, defining the sound class to "this". See the last function for the vol controls. Let me know if it's more convenient to get the original .flas, I can give a link to the source.

Sep 7, 2009I have an array that I have set up that would go with a series of movie clips, and I am trying to combine them with functions that upload xml pictures--firstImage(), secondImage(), and so forth.Here is the array that I have:

It enables and disables the movieclips depending on which one is clicked.
I want to make the xml functions (firstImage(),secondImage()...) go with the buttons in sequence. So once btn1 gets pressed the firstImage() xml function gets called.

When I start the application and press Tab to cycle through controls, the focus jumps to the first text box, then to the first radio button of the first TestComponent, and then directly to the last textbox missing the second and the third TestComponents.
UPD: Explicitely setting tabIndex does not work either:

ActionScript 3.0 :: When Change The Publish Setting , Part Of The Script Does Not Work?
Mar 13, 2009I downloaded this free flash website template for building my website, all the actionscript in the template in AS3, i tried using xml flash - photogallery (for which i found the tutorial on this website.) in my website, but while publishing the site, it gives error, i guess it might be compatibility issue as the script that i found on the website might be in AS2 and that might be clashing with AS3 script of the template. Coz when i change the publish setting to AS2, the AS3 part of the script does not work. Individually both script in their respective separate files work but when combined together the site goes bonkers. as i want the photogallery part exactly as it is shown on this site which is with the thumbnail preview.

Jun 20, 2011I am trying to use the Flash + Set the browser to a desktop agent on the Galaxy Tab.

So the issues is, when the UserAgentString param is enabled, flash player wont load as many websites like Iplayer don't recognise the browser in the WebView.
This may be a bug in the Samsung browser. Anyone have any desktop agents that the WebView will accept whilst enabling flash?

first off im confused in each edge server i set them to be remote, rtmp and changed the routeentry to <RouteEntry>*:*;96.44.***.***:1935</RouteEntry> on both servers
orgin server is just local
what my question is im streaming to orgin and its getting sent to 1 edge and other edge is doing nothing no traffic the stream i set it this way url:
'rtmp://173.254.***.***/live/live_test',
which is the 1 edge thats working if i setup another channel pointing to the other edge server ip adresss it doesnt work.. what am i doing wrong isnt all this supposed to be load balanced or am i missing steps...or did i do it wrong on the flash player config.

Jun 3, 2009I have a dynamic text field that I create and populate with code, and a UIScrollBar that goes along with it.works correctly, the scroll-bar appears no problem.The issue comes in when I load the SWF into another project.I have a SWF interface that loads other pages (SWF, FLV, etc) When the SWF with the scrollbar is loaded into the interface, the scrollbar does not display at all.Here is the code for the scrollbar SWF, if:

Mar 12, 2010It seems the simplest way is to use the UIScrollBar, but it will not work in my Flash file.I create the dynamic text box and drop the UIScrollBar on it from the components panel, the scroll bar attaches but only shows up as a white rectangle with no arrows. When I test it it stays the same. I don't think it's just the color because when I hover over or click where arrows should be nothing happens, the text will not scroll. I can click and highlight the text to make it scroll, so I know the additional text that isn't showing up is there, I just can't scroll down to see it.The weird thing is in another flash website I have the UIScrollBar does work. I can drag the problem one from the first file into the second and suddenly the arrows appear. I even tried creating a new text box with the UIScrollBar in the working file then dragging it over to the problem one, but the arrows disappear and the bar turns into a white rectangle again.

ActionScript 2.0 :: CS3 UIScrollBar Component And Scrollbox
Jun 7, 2009The component itself works perfectly. I can create a scrollbox and the scrollbar and everything works perfectly..except that it somehow partially disables my other codes. I'm trying to create a small database in flash where I can store stuff and to quickly find what I'm looking for I made a Input Text field and added a code so that you could search for a keyframe label and then it would jump to that keyframe.The scrollbox disables the search function, although only partially! The button with the search code looks like this:[code]which means the scrollbar component somehow disables the Enter button! Weird. I know I should be content with at least the clicking working, but I'd really love to have a search where you can just simply press Enter for it to go to that keyframe.
Well, the problem didn't end there.When I try to delete the scrollbar and everything that made the search stop working, the enter button still won't work, even when I deleted all the faulty keyframes where I added the scrollbars! So I have to begin again from scratch to make it work.A scrollbox would really help me get more text into a keyframe, so I'd love to have it there. If someone can help me get this work, I'd be happy.I tried creating my own scrollbar. It works great, too, and it doesn't disable the search code. The problem is, that I made the scrollbox into a movie clip, and I need many scrollboxes with different texts, and I'd really hate to create a new scrollbox from scratch each time I need one with different text. Plus, I'll probably need 100+ scrollboxes so it'd take a while to make that many.Anyone know how you can duplicate a movie clip and then edit the duplicate without the original being edited? That annoys the hell out of me and I'd really love to be able to just duplicate my self-made scrollbox and edit the text on each one, because right now when I edit the text on the duplicate box it also edits it on the original one :/

UIScrollBar Component Not Loading Correctly
May 23, 2009I have a website I created in Flash (CS4 AS2), and on one page, I have a UIScrollBar component. It is linked to a text box, which loads text from an external .txt file. The page has a short pre-loader that plays while the page is loading; the page is not supposed to be shown until it's 100% loaded.
My problem is that when the page loads, the text is there, and there is a box where the scroll bar should go, but no scroll bar. The mouse wheel makes the page scroll as it should, but the bar itself is not visible or functional. If I navagate away and then return to the page, or reload the page, the bar displays as it should.
