Changing Color - White Box Will Fade Into Light Green
Nov 29, 2009
I am trying to modify my personal/work site [URL]. Recently found this great little flash player at flabell - files here: [URL]. The .fla file is included so colours can be customised, I want to lose the green and go with grey tones - I've bumbled about and pretty much changed everything, but I am stuck on one part - if you see the example (link above), and hover over the white rounded box where the play button/pause button is, the white box will fade into a light green. I cannot find how to change this light green anywhere. I've checked other files for a reference to the colour and really cant find anything, the only thing possibly I thought it might be is within project/source/caurina/transitions/properties/ColorShortcuts.as, but I haven't a clue how to change it or what to change..or even if it is within that file.
I am trying to learn AS3 and I am trying something very basic that I can't seem to get to work.
I have a square with a short text inside of it. The fill color of the square is green. I grouped these items and converted them to a symbol called "rectangle". Then I placed a checkbox on top of the movie clip and gave it an instance name of "check".
What I want to do is change the color of the rectangle from green to red whenever the checkbox is selected.
I think I know "how" to do it - if checkbox selected = true - then change color to red. I am looking for the syntax.
I have really complex flash animation thats severely obfuscated accross several layers and over 500 Symbols. Luckily the whole animation uses just two colours, all the way through. I need to find a way of swapping colours like this, so I can make all the red parts green, etc.
In Cs4, is there any reason why library symbols would at times change to green from the standard bulueish - purple? FYI, like the lil' gear box looking avatar like things at the left hand side of each library symbol. I have one that changes to green, but I can't seem to understand why? ANYONE?
I'd like to be able to click on each of the buttons and have the background color change and also have its color name loaded in the dynamic text field. E.g. Clicking the white square would change the background color to white and should also display the text ''white'' in the dynamic text box. I've sorted out the colour changing part with the following code:
I have an image and i want to remove white color from image.That removing color is same like its background color. If anybody have any idea of this problem please answer?And my application in Flex 3 so please send me action script code of this problem.
I'm a student currently trying to learn Flash CS3. However I've encountered a problem with the paint bucket. In my assignment I've created a simple rocket, each part with it's corresponding layer. Now I need to go back in and fill the body in a light gray color. I did so successfully with the nose cone. The problem now is that the bucket won't fill any other area no matter what I do, or which layer is selected.
Need to usually use actionscript to do alpha and tint fade? or Just use the properties tween control? Iheard that using actionscript will be better as it will not lag if the user's computer is slow. Here is to get a better idea what i'm trying to achieve using tweening. [URL]. To Alpha fade in, white tint fade in and then fade out white tint to original state. I know how to script the alpha fade in but I have problem with the tint fade.
I am in the making of a isometric level editor, and I have about 15 movie clips with more to come. I want to let people change the color of tiles to what they want from a list of colors, so how can I let them change the color of a tile dinamicly with actionscript so that it changes a tile's color while preserving changes of "shadows"? I mean I have let's say a cube and to make it look 3D I need to change each face to make a feeling of 3D and not a flat one.
i have been doing this tutorial http:[url]..but i am stuck on PART 8, i have done everything the tutorial has said so far (although my image and the colors used are different) but the large blank box at the top of the color pallet isnt changing color when i click on any color from the pallet.
Also this tutorial doesnt say what version of flash and actionscript is best suited for this.Currently i am using CS4 & Action Script 2.0 but i don't know if this is correct. below there is a link to the fla. file that Coloring_Book.fla.
I have a few movie clips that change color when they are rolled over and rolled out of which is great and works correctly but now I have add glows to those buttons to serve as borders or a stroke and when you roll over the buttons the color and the filter color changes.
So i'm working on this website and I want to be able to switch out the entire color scheme on the website everytime a button is pressed, I've stepped away from flash for awhile and actionscript 3 is new me. Plus I haven't quite found any truely useful stuff on forums yet.
What i can't figure out is when a button is pressed the HTML background color changes to one of 5 preselected colors (that alternate ever time the button is pressed). Then for each background change the text changes too as it is part of a entire new color scheme.
What I've managed so far is to change the color of the background thats within the Flash file. What i did was to make a movie clip that plays to a next frame and stop everytime the button is pressed. Now i just need to also get to change the HTML color and the font colors.
//"homeText" being the name of dynamic text field and "Button" the name of the button and "background" being the movie clip that is the background within the flash file.
Button.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, Button_CLICK); function Button_CLICK(e:MouseEvent):void{ background.play(); homeText.TextFormat(color "0x000000");}
I'm not sure if my code is just sloppy or if i'm completely going the wrong route here.
I'm making a website in flash, inspired from this site : [URL]. I've done mouseover so that when you go over a circle you can see full text in the middle, but I don't know how to make the other "buttons"/circles fade white when I have my mouse over one of the circles. Please take a look at the webpage, it's kind of difficult to explain. [URL]. I'm using CS 5.5 and Actionscript 3
I have a button with an icon. I want to have the button in gray so I change the chromeColor but when I do that, the icon became darker.On the left the button without changing the color, on the right, the gray button with and darker icon.How can I have a gray button without changing the icon color?
I have got one movieclip that is a square it is 20 x 20 the movieclip changes from black to white when you roll over it and remains white. The problem I have is that I need 3000 of them and putting them in a grid format so the user can create there own black and white mosaic. But when I do it only the newest square added to the stage changes colour i think i have gone down the wrong path and I've hit a dead end.
This is my code (Which im 90% is all wrong): PHP Code: stop(); var sqreArray:Array = new Array(); for (var i:int = numChildren - 0; i >= 3000; i++) { var child:DisplayObject = getChildAt(i); [Code] .....
As is shown in the image below, I have a set of dynamic textfields... when I change the colour of the text to white the text becomes a horrible choppy messy.The code used to generate the textfields is:
private function drawOption(option:MovieClip, state:String) { switch (state)
I uploaded several intro slide shows onto a black background. They work fine, but take awhile to load (once viewed and go back-they load much quicker). While waiting to load, the stage area is white. However when I created them, I made sure the stage area was black.what I might do to correct this? I just think it would look much better if everything was black until the show appearsThe shows were created in Flash CS 4(ActionScript 3.0), & the site was created in Dreamweaver CS 4.
I am looking for a way to fade in a white movie clip over my main movie when a button is pressed.
(i.e. When you press a button, a white rectangle will fade in over all other layers and then fade out after a couple of seconds. This is to make it look like the different pages are fading in and out without having to build the transition over and over again.)
I'm creating a website and I want the background to change when the user presses a different button. I've been trying to create this effect but haven't been able to yet. I used the post here and built from there, [URL]. I had it working with two images and two buttons but adding the third kind of messed everything up. I've attached the fla.
