I'm making a website in flash, inspired from this site : [URL]. I've done mouseover so that when you go over a circle you can see full text in the middle, but I don't know how to make the other "buttons"/circles fade white when I have my mouse over one of the circles. Assume I have 3 textboxes, and I enter some colour hex code in the first one, I want to apply a black layer on top of it, and have the opacity set to 50% and get the resulting colour in the second text box. Same thing, but with white on the third one.
Let me explain: consider this image below: In Photoshop, I have the base layer which is sort of sky blue in colour. I create two layers on top of it, one with black, one with white but both have an opacity of 50%. Now, I can use the colour picker (I) to simply select the two wanted colours.
I am having to do this an insane amount of times so I was wondering if I could produce it programatically.
I know, Ideally I should have tried out something, then give out the code which isn't working.. but this has stumped me enough that I don't even know where to start. The closest thing I've seen is Kuler so I think it is possible in flash at least, but then again, I don't know where to start.
Technology is not important to me, solution is - I am most comfortable with c# (at least I like to think I am) but I am a beginner in php, flash. Jquery, I am good at it with most stuff (well, who isn't?) - Php and Flash, I learnt it as a hobby just to familiarize myself.
I'm having trouble when scrolling across keeping my eye focused on the layer I want... is there anyway to change the view so that they alternate between grey and white(or anything like that) or are each there own color..
View 2 RepliesI'm about to put my fist through the screen when trying to smoothly fade images together or lower an image opacity. The alpha is all the same throughout the tween. If I slide the alpha down on one keyframe, the entire tween's opacoty lowers instead of changing over the tween timeframe. I've resorted to using mask wipes.
Is there anyway to fade an image into another one or lower the opacity on a jpg? I'm stuck and can't figure it out. When I drop my image into the stage, it's a bitmap. There is no option to change it to a movie clip.I think when I create a tween, it allowed me to make a movie clip, I switched the graphic to a movie clip, but the alpha still didn't work.

View 1 RepliesI am looking for a way to fade in a white movie clip over my main movie when a button is pressed.
(i.e. When you press a button, a white rectangle will fade in over all other layers and then fade out after a couple of seconds. This is to make it look like the different pages are fading in and out without having to build the transition over and over again.)
I have a tweened movie which plays on a loop. A click on the image area stops the movie and the image fades nicely from alpha 100 to alpha 0. A second click brings the image back immediately to alpha 100 and the clip continues. I would like the movie image to fade back in from alpha0 to alpha 100 before it re-starts; (the reverse of the fade out). At the moment the re-appearence of the image is a crude jump. So far my ill informed tinkering has not worked.

I'm trying to figure out how to make a slide bar that would control opacity. If I were to take to pictures on top of each other, the slide bar would control the opasity of the top image.

The .fla file is included so colours can be customised, I want to lose the green and go with grey tones - I've bumbled about and pretty much changed everything, but I am stuck on one part - if you see the example (link above), and hover over the white rounded box where the play button/pause button is, the white box will fade into a light green. I cannot find how to change this light green anywhere. I've checked other files for a reference to the colour and really cant find anything, the only thing possibly I thought it might be is within project/source/caurina/transitions/properties/ColorShortcuts.as, but I haven't a clue how to change it or what to change..or even if it is within that file.

I need to make a back button that will take the user back to the last "slide" they were on.I went through the effort of creating a back button that I only realized didn't work after I was finished. I had it set up to just go to the previous slide and totally ignored the fact that there are several branching scenarios.

Where the button is a movie clip containing a layer of stop actions, a layer of labels, and the image which fades in and out using a Tween and Alpha combination.It works great when the mouse rolls over the button, however if I roll over the area where the image fades in and out, the image will also appear! It's almost as though the 'hit' area is both the button and the image but I am unsure how to change this.
I will like to make buttons in Actionscript 2 or 3 that permit the user to go backwards or forwards in the elearning, id that possible?

I have buttons inside/on window01/mc that are still active/clickable when the opacity is 0, I basically have a area on my website that if you click it opens the window corresponding to the button. how do I stop this? I only want the buttons to work when window01 is opacity 100.

just click in the blank black area below the nav bar and the window will appear. The normal way to get to this window is click products than the buttons.

I have some submenu buttons in a movieclip on the mainline. My first level of navigation in on main timeline. The submenus are grouped in movieclips on the main timeline. I basically used the same code on the main navigation for the sub navigation except the code for the submenus is in that movie clip. My trace statement reads the button is clicked (which was a quantum leap for me) but I know I need some kind of _parent code in there so it knows to go to label back on main timeline.[code]...

View 4 RepliesI have created a button with an instance name of 'ClickMe' and also five buttons each with thier own instance name (B1-B5). I want to change their opacity to zero onclick preferably as a tween from where they are now in opacity (100%) to the zero. I need some assistance with this. I know it involves importing classes and creating a function. I also believe I can control the set of 5 buttons with iteration.

flash version: CS3 AS2 Im having trouble making the pages for a website im working on. I have a row of buttons, and I want each one to open its corrisponding page ie. contact_us_button to open contact_us movie clip. the thing is I want each page to transition in and out. so when I click contact us, the contact us movie clip fades in and stops. When I click about us, the contact us movie clip fades out and about us fades in.
Is the way to do this to make each page movie clip have a fade start and fade end, and have it stop before the fade end, and on another page click continue playing the current clip to get the fade out and then open the new page movie clip?
