Data Integration :: Pulling Data From A SharePoint 2007 List?

I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to pull data from a column in a SharePoint 2007 list to be able to dyamically generate a reaction in a flash object.Our designer created a dashboard of thermometers for our projects that use two variables, % complete and status (green, yellow, red, blue).
As the end user, I want to be able to update my project in my SharePoint list and have it so that my updates automatically populate that flash based dashboard.Right now, he's using an XML document that is stored in a folder on our SharePoint site and then simply updating the XML file when there are changes.It would be ideal to pull this data from the list rather than having to update and then upload the xml document to the SharePoint site.

I have No problems inserting data from flash to PHP into MySQL,it's sendind them back properlly.All I'd like to see happen is for one row of data to be inserted into a dynamic text field. here's what i've got if i access this php file, it prints out a vertical list from
a single MySQL row,I was happy.

$result = mysql_query($query, $db);
while($row = mysql_fetch_row($result))[code]...
and Instead of the vertical list (which i would love to see)i get an unparsed data array.

I'm using the XML Connector to bind information to a List Component. Everything binds okay but when I run the MC I only get one item of information. The object I'm binding from the XML is called "Location" and there are a total of 5 listed in the XML. The five are Los Angeles, Seattle... The only one being displayed is Los Angeles. What do I need to do get the other 4 locations to display in the list?

Newbie to XML here and I have what I *hope* is an easy problem, but I just don't know the answer. And as I have to try and show this by Monday, I'm sort of stuck. I am trying to pull in information about houses via an xml file. Each house has 1 address, 1 owner, 1 description, and about 6 photos. I have no problem accessing the address, owner, etc, and I can always access the first photo, but whenever I cycle through the photos, I seem to cycle through the first photo for every house, not every photo for each house.
Basically, I need the children <images> to go up by one, without the the parent going up by 1. I am hoping I am describing this well. My code looks like this:

i want to make an upload script with swf and javascript. I want to do selecting files via swf then uploading files to server via javascript. I have searched SWFupload plugins but they are not working as i need. I am new here and i do some search, i see it is possible to save list of selected files in FileReferenceList array, but i dont know if is it possible to pass this array into javascript and then make upload progress via javascript ?

I have a Flash Web site for a small literary journal and am trying to switch over to my hosting service's mailing list manager for sending out newsletters. I see the HTML code for setting this up (available from my host), but do not know how to get it to work in my Flash site. (I did not build the site and know very little about Flash...I'm learning as I go in order to do updates.) It looks like the site currenly links to a PHP file to allow for sign ups to our newsletter. Can anyone tell me h how to get the HTML code to work on my site?

I am trying to read XML data from a SharePoint site. The issue I am having is that the flash project works just fine when I preview the swf in flash, however when I try to view it in HTML it does not load the XML file.Now the XML file is not a simple document that can live in the same folder as the swf. I got a music portfolio web site running PHP, MySQL and Flash. There's a page showing all the artists my client worked for and when you click on a song title, this title is passed as a variable to a PHP page then to a Flash page. The Flash page contains an actionscript music player which then looks for the right audio file in the database and plays the song. Everything works great except for the dynamic text field which displays the song title. If the song title contains an apostrophe or a single quote, the Flash dynamic text field then shows the apostrophe.[code]

Im trying to use dynamic SQL tables on my PHP server so I need to pass the table name to the PHP script. I don't understand why the Data Management system that sets up CRUD won't allow this extra parameter. It says it can only have one input: item. I can get all records, but when I try to create, update, or delete I get an error.
Or is there another way I can pass the tablename variable to the php file before I call any functions?

Im new to placing external data into Flash. I just got CS3 and Im trying to use Flash to dynamically load XML data via a FlashVars call in the HTML.

I'm trying to read some data in from a sql source, some of which contains double quotes embedded in the text. I know I can strip the doublequotes, but don't want to go that route if I can avoid it. I've tried replacing to double quotes with hex codes before passing the text via parameter to my flash file, but the text string always cuts off at the hex code, the same as if the double quote were present in the string. I will be creating a program to use for data entry. I'll be studying zebras in kenya and I won't have the internet there as I'm recording the data. I'd like to be able to send the data I generate in flash to an external text file. I understand I need some sort of script to do that, but is this something I can run just on my machine? I'm creating a small app to run from CD-Rom/local installation that will use multiple shared objects for data storage. To ensure proper saving without surprising the user with a permissions dialog unexpectedly, I'd like to request unlimited data storage on first time app launch - Joey Lott shows how to do this in the Actionscript Cookbook... request=mySO.flush(1024 * 500);
My question is,Can I perform this permissions request with the user a single time with a generic app SO in global fashion, so that the permissions would be set for any SOs created during the use of the product (all written to same SO directory),or do I have to request
permissions for each and every SO created? Since the latter would be unacceptable from a UE standpoint, that means stuffing all app data into a single SO which doesn't seem so great from a data config perspective...

I'm a complete newbie to SharePoint and I've been tasked to develop a SharePoint site with Flash content (Flash CS3 or CS5). I've done some quick research on this and I understand there are different ways to query SharePoint. I must say it's been a long process for me to try to piece different bits of information to achieve what I'm asked to do.
So here it is. Develop a site using SharePoint 2007 with Flash content.User input in the Flash objects will be stored.Previous user input will be retrieved and displayed in the Flash objects for reviewing purpose.User input will later be processed/manipulated for reporting purposes.Embed FLV videos on certain pages. I understand data can be saved as lists in SharePoint and you can create custom ASPX to get the lists and parse it as XML input for a Flash object. Can I reverse this process when it comes to saving data?
What would be the best approach to implement the above requirements in SharePoint 2007 environment?
Or, should I consider saving data in an external DB, say MSSQL, and having custom ASPX query that DB and generate XML for Flash objects? Or maybe any APIs that can make this process easier?

We have implemented a Flash photo slideshow on our site and it works just fine for most of our users. Whenever the xml.load(success) returns false I have the Flash email me a debug report. For the life of me I can not find a common thread between all of these people having problems with the Flash. I don't think it's a cross-domain issue because it works for most people, and I have the crossdomain.xml files where they should be.

I have an Access Database (doesn't need to be Access, I can phpAdmin or mysql, whatever will work) that has a list of names. I want the user to open a Flash form and have the names load up into seperate input boxes for each name. The user can then change the names, move them, whatever, and then save the record. I want it to just overwrite the record. I donlt want create a new record. I cannot, for the life of me, figure this out. I have tried to find some tutorials but nothing makes sense. Is ASP a good way to go? I have been struggling with this for a week now.

I have a website that is all flash. I have a main file that loads in the nav and then the nav loads in the designated .swf file for each section. So there are several sections(.swf's) with lots of text taken from a database and inserted into the swf file from
an XML file. If I click in between sections, and go back to the original section of text the formatting is lost. This is only in Internet Explorer 7- this does not happen in Firefox or on the Mac.
