Firefox Displays Flash Errors Ever Since Installed Flash Cs4

I installed flash cs4 the other day and ever since firefox will popup annoying errors. Its probably some debugger, but i want it disabled cause it comes up 5-6 times in a row when i browse the internet, (usually will happen on facebook or some youtube vids in blogs). the error starts like this: TypeError #1009 I will paste the whole thing in this thread the next time it happens, but i'm pretty sure the error itself doesn't matter, i think some debugger was installed in firefox when i installed flash cs4.
btw I want to make a multiplayer risk game for facebook in flash. think it will be hard? i'm already well versed in php and mysql. but i don't know any flash. i want my flash app to communicate with the server without reloading. is that easy with actionscript? will i need to learn AJAX as well?

I've hit a brick wall here. I have a Flash file that displays fine in IE. It also displays fine when ran as a SWF. However, in FireFox, it does not display my scroller. I developed the Scroller component dynamically... everything is drawn from scratch, no library movieClips, etc. I'm starting to think that could be the cause? I've tried many different things: Changed the HTML code to bare bones embedding code.Recompiled in Flex.... same result!Tested on another computer... it worked fine! However, I tested on another computer with FireFox... same problem.
It's so weird.I seperated the Image Slide show component from the Scroller... the scroller had the same effect... didn't display in FF.Played around with WmodeChecked my code for addChild problems, visibilty, alpha properties... nothing out of the ordinary.Asked God.Drank some Gin.Took a break and came back to it.I've reseached Google and the most I could come up with is to compile using FP10. It is FP10. I'm using CS3 and FlashDevelop. When I right click on my Flash file, it does indeed display FP10. Same with Flex.

My rails website uses the open_flash_graph plugin to generate flash graphs for my clients. If a customer doesn't have flash installed, it doesn't display any messages, it simply doesn't show any graphs.
I've noticed that if I go to other websites that need flash, I get a yellow bar at the top of my firefox window that offers to "Install Missing Plugin".

I have a flex 3.2 project (AS3) that causes Firefox to display a blank page a few moments before the .swf file is loaded and I have no idea why.
I am using swfobject2 to load the swf file, but this also happens without it using just object/embed tags.I am testing on localhost with disabled cache in Firefox, although it sometimes also occurs with the cache enabled. The size of the swf file is about 250kB and uses RSL for the framework. I also tested with other file sizes (see below).[code]...

Works properly in IE8 and Firefox 3.5.5 - however in the latest Chrome and Safari only the topmost FLV displays. FLV embedded with Dreamweaver CS4.

I have built a Flash site and also set it up with alternate content so it can be viewed on iPhone and iPad as well as other mobile devices. It works great everywhere but in FireFox the site's swf loads on the page twice.Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, what have you done to work around this FireFox bug?

i have an swf placed into a html doc - the swf creates thumbnails and links that create a sort of videowall effect - the links come via xml. i am using lightwindow to create an overlay that displays the links/images/video etc... so here is the problem - if i open it with firefox on a mac - and choose say the youtube link - it opens lightwindow brings in the flv briefly - then the flv vanishes leaving a white void where the player should.
but if i add the same link to the html and click it, that works as it should do - ie the youtube flv apprears and you can click and play it etc... Safari on a mac works a treat - and loads and then plays the flv. is this just a bug in FF for the mac - or mac&pc? doesn't FF like flash and youtube together or something? or is there a work around? my tester is here could any pc heads tell me if the lightwindow works at all on their windows browsers? and tell me what versions you are on?

When I attempt to select an item from the right click context menu, it sems as though the mouse "jumps". If I click repeatedly enough sometimes it will trigger the selected item. It only seems to be a problem on Windows FireFox/Chrome. It works fine on Windows IE, Mac Firefox/Chrome/Safari. Any ideas?I've added a function that displays a white halo when you mouse down to show where the computer is interpreting the mouse click.

works perfect on my macbook pro (safari, firefox, and opera) but when I view the site on Vmare Fusion Windows XP and use IE and FireFox the pages don't load... I don't know what to make of this. Has anyone hear or seen anything like this happen before? BTW the website was created in Adobe Flash CS4/ AS 3.0 and published using Flash Player 10.

I've made a flash file (mac, Flash 5.5) and exported the .html. .swf and .js file with settings to Flash player 8.My viewers on a PC (Firefox 8 on XP) keep getting asked to download Flash player 8 even though they already have Flash 10 installed.I've even unticked the 'check for flash version' option in the publish settings, but the users still get asked to update to player 8.

I'm wondering wether there's a Javascript way to detect wether a user has any sort of flash blocking plugin installed so i can accommodate these users properly. For example, I use 'click to flash', but sites that use SiFR to render text are littered with "click to flash" buttons, which is getting very annoying. I don't use SiFR in my designs for this reason. But if I could spot wether there's a flash blocking plugin installed, I would simply not call the SiFR function.

aside from using ICE, is there a way for someone to update a flash site with pictures and text who doesn't have flsah installed on their computer? i.e., how can you add as well as replace additional text and image files without doing it in flash and publishing a swf file everytime?

I installed fms 3.5 and actually am running apache for php in 8080 and want to make this fms service in different port and made it as 8083 while installing,
After installed when am starting fms using
./fmsmgr server fms start
it shows error message and i checked in messages file it gives already that port is used by someone

In the above example it checks if the Barcode Scanner App is installed, which works just fine. However, if I try to check for the Adobe Flashplayer using com.adobe.flashplayer it doesn't work and always returns false. Is there a better / more reliable method to check for Flash?
