Ive converted the files to wav. which apparently works universally for IE,Opera, Firefox and Chrome, however changing the file format does not change this situation. I am trying to use IE8's IWebBrowser2 interface to obtain a webpage's embedded flash's url, height, width information. This flash can be generated by javascript. So I did like this: from IWebBrowser2 I got IHTMLElementCollection，then I iterated through the collection to get IHTMLObjectElement2，and finally called get_data() to get flash's url.
But when I tried to extract flash object's url for [URL], get_data() returned "null". Why is this?So what's the difference between IHTMLObjectElement2 and IHTMLElement2? What's the right way to obtain IHTMLElement2 from IWebBrower2?
I wrote an flash actionscript 3.0 movie that needs to use netconnection and netstream for streaming. When I test the movie through flash ide the movie connects alright.But when I insert the swf in html and view from firefox, chrome or other browser NetConnection.connect() does not work. Movie sort of hangs at the moment NetConnection.connect is called(). The function assigned to NetStatusEvent is not called and no command after that moment is carried out.It only occurs when viewed through web browser but when it is tested in flash ide it works alright.

I have a flash video loading in a modal window. It works in others browsers but not Firefox. Firefox opens the modal window to the correct width of the object, but with no height. I have come to learn that Firefox does not recognize <param> and instead uses the data attribute. However, when I remove this attribute, the modal opens with correct height. Here is the code the modal window loads:

When I publish my FLV video using Flash CS3 and the "SkinUnderAll" option...the player controls are not visible unless I change the height & width in the html file Flash created.But, Flash shows the height & width 3-times in the html.
Question-1: Why 3-times? What does each of the 3 Height & Width references do?
Question-2: How should I modify the code to be able to see the entire video and the player controls?
It seems if I change all 3 everything just gets bigger and bigger.
1 - I import it into Flash CS3 on a PC w/XP Pro using... File | Import | Video take all the defaults and choose "Skin Under All" as the player option.
2 - In "Properties" panel at bottom of screen Flash shows the video as 640x480
3 - I then click File | Publish to publish the video. Flash creates all my files for me.

5 - The video plays but the player controls are not visible.

7 - I try changing the 550x400 to 640x480 in all three places... no good. Even at 1000x1000 the entire player is not visible. Everything just gets larger.
What are each of the 3 references to Height and Width in the html file Flash Creates and which should I change to simply show all the player controls?
So far I've created a canvas size of 1920x1440 (in flash) and before publishing, set my html dimension width and height to 100%.After publishing my project and uploading to a server, it looks something like this:Although it appears fine, the images are being cropped. If you try re-scaling the browser window, the swf doesn't scale.Out of curiosity I tried setting my html scale setting to exact fitas you can see, the swf scales to the size of the browser and re-scales if you resize the browser widow, but its all out of proportion.

I'm attempting to load HTML from the Shopify blog API into a TextField in Flash. The problem is that Shopify doesn't add width and height attributes to images that are in the blog posts. When I load these into Flash, the width and height of the image is ignored and the height of the TextField is incorrectl, which screws up my scrollbar among other things.
Is there any way to read the width and height of the images as they are loaded? I could possibly do this with PHP before it gets to Flash, but I'm not sure how.
I would like my website [URL] to be fullscreen and I've found this code to make it.But I am having problems with Firefox - the screen doesn't load anything, it is just a black screen. And in some IE the swf appears in a little square (very small) and not the size it was supposed to be in a maximized screen. The compatibility button on IE8 fixes it, but not everybody knows about this button..

First of all I am new in flash i have one problem that i have added one swf file in site and change increase its width for proper setting in my webpage now what happens is when i am running that page in offline firefox/chrome/IE then all displays good and asper my incresed dimensions but when i uploaded the page on server and then testing online then the in IE it displays perfect but....... in Firefox and in Chrome it displays in small size (in original size, before my edit)

In the following menu: "Галерия -> Проекти" the submenu that pops up is shown under the flash content, despite of me setting the z-index. This only happens in Chrome and IE. Firefox renders it fine. View 2 RepliesWe've got a green screened video playing in a flash movie over top of our html content.when the movie ends, flash uses external interface .api to call a javascript function which swaps the flash movie out with a 5 x 5 pixel flash movie (rewrites the <div>).this works and you can interact with the html content after the flash movie in all browsers except firefox.anyone know of any work-arounds or is there a better way of handling flash over html in this fashion?

I've looked it up and I've found that chrome adds two attributes to the embed tag, width and height. i have already set the width and height attribute in the embed tag in pixels but from some reason chrome changes it to percentage. when i inspect the element and write pixels instead of percentage the flash is visible again.

Flash is being used to create an animated button, and the anchor tag makes it so you can click on that to go to another page. On most browsers, you can click anywhere on the Flash object and the link works...but in Chrome, the link displays in the status bar when you hover over the flash element, but does nothing when you click it. However, there is a small area (about 19px) below the flash element where the link works.
How can I get this to behave the same way in Chrome as it is in other browsers?

I just downloaded the latest version of google chrome and my html page with flash inside is not appearing in chrome.I am using an authoring tool called outstart trainer. The pages work well in IE and Firefox but does not work in google chrome.

I'm working on a page that has some ads on it. One of them loads in an ad with wmode=window.I don't have the ability to change that flash code. I need to put a modal box on top of that flash element, but every combination of using z-indexes and iframe shims has failed (both manually and using bgiframe). Is there a way to place html content on top of a flash element with wmode=window? I'm testing this in chrome so far.
