I published my Flash AS3 game as a Mac app and now any swf opened runs my game concurrently behind the intended swf or how to fix? I have been selling these games, but haven't had any support issues relating to this, so I think it's a local problem...?

View 1 RepliesI'm compiling a swf using Flex 4.1 SDK that loads another swf that is created by a designer using Flash CS5. The 4.1 swf throws an error, "VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of removeChildBridge in mx.managers.SystemManagerProxy." A few people around the web have said that they had this same error when their 4.1 swfs were loading swfs compiled by earlier versions of Flex. The solution is to recompile the loaded swfs using the latest version of Flex. So, I'm guessing that I simply need to get Flash CS5 to publish for Flash Player 10.1. I've updated CS5, but still don't have the option to publish for the latest player. How can I configure Flash to publish for Flash Player 10.1?
View 1 RepliesYes correct I'm talking about Flash Player 11, thats what it says in Flash CS5 software. Whatever I do in Publish Setting, Flash software always returns option to be Flash Player 11, I don't get this. I choose Flash Player 8 and AS 2.0 and re-open Publish Settings it is again back on Flash Player 11 and AS 3.0.

I am on mac and haven't upgraded my OS from 10.5 to 10.6 so when I upload a file creted in Flash CS5 it won't play because it needs the Latest flash player which uses 10.6 OS.So what I'm getting to is that can I go into "publish" settings and change the Flash player from 10.2 to an older version and then will this work.Also, which version should I change it to? For example sould I select Flash Player 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 10.1?

However, the same script in another file that I have doesn't work! There's no alert and no refresh. I tried setting allowscriptaccess to always and that didn't work. I tried changing the publish settings to Flash Player 10, that didn't work.
I'm working on code in FlashDevelop and compiling into Flash CS5.5. I want to use the debugger and I've downloaded the stand alone Flash Player Debug Version from the Adobe site. So how do I launch to and test using the Debug Player?

This is a result of removing asset after asset from my original swf, which produced the same publishing error, in an effort to determine what the issue is. What conclusion can I draw from this? I just want it to do what it says on the tin: Publish flash to iOS apps. Why is this not possible?

I was going through the Flash Downunder tutorials, and creating an interactive player with slider bars to change the 3D X and Y rotation.[code]I get no compile errors (using ActionScript 3.0, BTW) But when testing out the video with Flash PLayer 10 In the publishing settings, the video shows up blank. I thought it may be an issue with windows, but when trying the SWF on a WinXP machine, the same issue occurs.I tried using Flash player 9 in publish settings, and the video plays, but I need to use player 10 to use 3d rotation settings.I'm not sure if this is just a bug with Player 10, or if I'm doing something wrong.
View 11 RepliesI made a 'whiteboard' app. Originally it was for Flash Player 7 then I changed the Publish Settings to point to Flash Player 8. Worked fine for me, but caused problems with my customer, so I changed Publish Settings back to Player 7. When the customer opened up the .swf which I'd emailed him, it opened in Flash Player 6, even though he had the latest player installed. When he deleted the old V6 player the problem was fixed. So my question is, why did my .swf open Flash Player 6 - and therefore lose some of it's functionality - when the customer had a later player installed?

But when I preview it as html the arrays are all empty...

While publishing my movies in CS4, I noticed that the javascript required to embed the movie in a web page was published as inline javascript in the published page. This means that code would be downloaded for each page my movie is on. Is it possible to configure Flash CS4 to publish that javascript to a separate .js file, instead of having to manually copy-paste that each time??
If no, I believe that js is independent of the Flash movie (please correct me, if I am wrong). So, can I copy-paste that javascript to an external file just once, and use the js file for all my movies being published??

I have a swc plugin embedded in my product to stream live video to a group of recipients.The plugin uses the NetStream, NetGroup and NetConnection objects, the server I use to handle the RTMFP session is Influxis.One client creates a group as a publisher, and stream a live video.His Camera is enabled and I can see the video on the screen as well. The others connect to his group and play the video.Peer assisted Networking is enabled for both the publisher and the recipients.The plugin worked well in all 10.x versions (10.1/10.2/10.3)However, when upgrading to flash player 11.x, it stopped working.
-11.x to 11.x isn't working.
-10.x with 11.x isn't working.
-only 10.x to 10.x is working.
The server I use to handle the RTMFP protocol is Influxis.com I sent them the same question as well.The weirdest fact is that I'm using flash builder 4.6 with 4.6 sdk, which is aimed for flash player 11.1, and it is only working with 10.x flash players.
I'm having a performance problem that seem to be related to Flash Player 11.I noticed this mainly because Chrome auto-updates the flash player. So, it's now up to 11 in Chrome. During a sliding section transition, the flash player chokes and skips about 10-20 frames. In essence the content jumps, not a smooth transitions. You can see this at the following url. Using a browser with 10, plays as intended, a separate browser with 11, chokes and jumps ahead.

Adding it to the stage and then animating them in from the left or right of the stage, using Tweenmax. The one I can't show is a series of images, 1280x640 pixels, 10 in total.Removing items from the stage when they are not visible, so I can get the CPU usage back. On Flash Player 10, this is working as intended.On 11 it jumps. I don't think it's the removing assets from the stage that's choking the player, because the above link has the same issue.I feel like this is a Flash Player 11 performance issue.
I'm new to flash mx 2004 and I'm having a problem publishing and playing my finished project. Every time I try to play or publish the project I get a 'The Flash program is out of memory. Please increase virtual memory on your PC' message. I was originally working on a 1 gig RAM PC and thought this was the problem. I've since borrowed a 2 GIG RAM PC which allowed me to do a little bit more work before I got the same problem. I then got a 4 GIG PC and was able to finish the project but if I try to play it or publish it the program crashes. Any Ideas. This is a college project which I need to publish as a windows exe file and I can't do it. I don't know what's wrong. The project is about 280 meg in size. I tried to 'save and compact' but it still crashes. I also tried to debug the flash project and it crashed again. I'm baffled as I think a 4 GIG PC should be ample and I no longer think that this is entirely a RAM problem anyway.
