IDE :: Buttons And Events - Simply Moving To New Page Within Site

I have seen instruction on event listeners to get a button to go to a URL or to make a movie pause and whatnot, but what I'm not finding is instruction on how to write the AS3 for a button that simply moves you to a new page within the site itself. Also, if it's a "goto" script, the page that I want it to go to, does that have to be a new scene? If so, how do I merge two scenes together? Essentially, you can look here for what I am trying to accomplish. [URL]
What we want to happen is when let's say the direct marketing button is clicked, we want the other buttons to slide offscreen the way they slid on screen and then a new set of buttons pertaining to the direct marketing will appear at the bottom the way the original buttons appeared at the beginning. Do I need to make these buttons sliding away and a new set of buttons sliding in on a new scene? How do I link the scenes together?

I have made a jigsaw puzzle game, that can be scaled up to have lots of pieces. Now I want to implement it so it can be played by more than one person at a time on a large multi-touch screen. I'm not sure how is best to proceed.
Ive had a look at some development kits and some tutorials and they seem to go into too many gestures etc. I literally only need the capability to move more than one piece at a time. So is it possible for flash to simply deal with this as multiple mouse down events rather than going into multi-touch gestures etc. Or do I need to do it another way?

I am trying to prevent users from viewing my site and then simply going into their "temporary internet files" and stealing my swfs and XML files. I have been using a great .PHP code to stop this but now I am working on a server server that only uses .aspx files. Does anybody know of a way that I can stop files from being stored in the "temporary internet files" folder. I have encrypted the files but this is not good enough.

what i have is a tween on a movie clip of a popcorn kernel on one layer and a tween on a button on another layer to follow the movie clip. i want to be able to roll over the kernel and make it "pop". i changed my over on the button to popped corn (this works) but i want it to stay popped for the rest of the tween.

I have a project for a site that sells fishing lures.I want to have an animated index page before moving on to the home page. My idea is to have a boat sitting on a pond fishing lines in the water, when a fish jumps out of the water, the water ripples, the next time you see the fish it's got a hook in it mouth and jumping out of the water.how do I go about it? How to I create the water rippling? I think with the fish I can do easily enough with it jumping on and off stage. Would I do the water with shape tweens?

I'm working on a site and I have 2 movieClips/buttons that I would like to use as use as next frame/ previous frame triggers respectively. Is there a way to set the buttons up once and then access the functionality from the various levels of the site? Note that the prev/next buttons will not always be on the stage.

Functionnaly : On one of my components of my application, I have an editing/lock system. When a user starts editing, he locks the file so other users cannot edit it.
Problem scenario : When the user activates "edition mode" and leaves screen, I would like to show a alert with two options : save changes, or discard changes.There are different ways to exit screen :
There is a List on the left side containing other possible editabel data. A click changes the data in my component.
There is a menubar on top leading to other screens.
The edition component is embedded in a Tab navigator. When changing tabs, the alert has to show. Closing browser.
Do I have to catch all of these events and plug at all those places?

On my site I have 5 buttons for navagation along the top, when you go to the Photos section there is a button that appears on stage and, when clicked, loads an external swf onto the stage, no problems so far.If I or the user clicks this button to load this external swf onto the stage and then clicks one of the other navagation buttons to go to a different section of the site, that external swf doesn't disappear.

My basic aim is to create a newspaper that consists of four pages. Each page i have created and are sitting in the library as sprites. Each page has buttons that need linking so that when pressed it loads the next page or page that i want. This is the part i am confused with =/ how do i make the buttons on each page load the next page (sprite) from the library??

how do transitions from page to page and from frame to frame all in on site, and i'm lost in the codes this is an exemple that i did in attachment, i want to be able to click in the different buttons bur a lot of thinks do not work. In the portfolio section i create a move clip that works well alone, bur when i integrate it with the home intro it didn't work properly. Hope that someone will be able to help me on that one, cause i think that this will help me a lot to understnad the basic transitions with buttons (frame to frame and page to page).

I need to create an Events page that the is dynamic so the client could add events and pictures later on. This is the how the page looks like: [url]... The function that he needs is to be able to add text in the scroll portion on the left side, then when you click on the heading of the text it opens images on the right side and you could flip thru them using the arrows below them with a page number on top. All this needs to happen outside flash since he wont know where to go.
I have no clue how to start this or what to do! I know it will need to load pages dynamically and use xml for the images navigation. I'm not sure whats the best way to go about that, plus how do you make the heading link to the images on the right side.

My flash skills are pretty rusty since I haven't used it in a few years (since AS 3). I am looking for a simple page flipping effect. I have seen the one at [URL], it is pretty cool but just way more complicated than I need. I'm just looking for something small and simple. When you mouse over the image (250 x 250 or so) the top corner peels back and when you click it the page flips to reveal another image.

Anyway, in order to open a page, when you click on thumb, after the image is loaded some sort of tween displays it on the stage. then when you click the close button, another tween closes it. But, what approach (code) should I use so that when I click on another thumb, the close tween occurs to close the current image that is displayed then the open tween plays in order to put the new image on stage?

I am trying to make a simulation of a blood moving in an artery and I want blood cells to continuously be moving across the stage ( so that there are no gaps in between one loop and the other) when i click the start button.I thought about doing a setinterval loop but it just overwrites the previous set of generated mcs? I'm working on building a personal portfolio site right now. I wanted to add a scroll feature to one the pages. I wasn't sure how to build it, so I down loaded one off here [URL] and just plugged my own graphics into it. It scrolls up and down just fine, but when I try to put a mask over it, it doesn't work. In the content the author wrote for his movie he says "Note: If you want to have a mask over the content: copy MC:frame and make it a mask for MC:Page. If you do so, notice that "non-anti-alias text" is not possible anymore. This is a common thing in a Flash Movie. I keep trying that and it just blocks everything out all together. So what am I doing wrong?

I have a simple Flash animation which I have imported to a page in my DW doc. When the anim finishes, I would like the page to go to a different page in the same site. Without clicking. I assume I have to write some AS on the last frame of my FL file, correct?
Something like this:

I recently added a loader page ("loader.swf") to my flash website. Basically, I created a new file and added a loader which shows the percent loaded, and then it loads in the "index.swf" file. My question is: when I upload my site to the web server, do I use the loader page as the "index" page? My dilemma about that is that I don't want the URL to read "[URL]"...

I'm building a quite large Flex application as our administration tools and I need build in documentation functionality. I want this documentation to be like a wiki and as we're using Google apps I though I'd use Google sites to host the wiki pages (why reinvet the weel...).he problem is that it seem that google site uses some form of iframe javascript breakout script and that when i load the iframe the entire page is loaded with the wiki page.

I made 3 seperate animations for my site (the only difference in them is the words used are different). Is it possible for me to make it so that the animations change with each person visiting the site - so lets say one person enters the site and sees the intro animation with (hypothetical) word "welcome" - the second time the site is visited, the visitor sees "willkommen", the third time its "bienvenue". Is that possible? How can I make it?

I am trying to make a flash movie that will always be fullscreen on the horizontal at 1024x768 and at widescreen 1400x768. the site is called [URL] You will see that the movie slides along fine, but at different size screens it just doesnt quite fit right. I was also looking at making the movie less responsive to the mouse, say the closer the mouse gets to the edge of screen the faster it scrolls, and make sure that the image never scrolls past where it should and just reach the border of the image on either side. Is this possible?
