IDE :: Stuck In A Loop - Trigger This New Html Page To Open When The X Position Of The Object Is True?

I have a swf within a html page. There is a function that opens an html page when an object gets to a certain x position. However, when the object gets to that point the new html page (in _self) opens over and over again and get stuck in a loop. Any way to escape this loop and what would be the best way to trigger this new html page to open when the x position of the object is true?

I want to stop the looping at the end of the movie and then have that movie open up to a different website.When I insert stop action it works. I would like to ask when swf object rendering at the html page? Is it rendered only it's visible? If swf at the page bottom that is not visible, will swf be rendered when I scroll down? The problem is that swf object raises some events when it's rendered and I would like to force rendering even if swf object is not visible.

I have a Flash home page which is part of a standard html website. A button needs to link to a specific position in the middle of an html scrolling page. My current script is:

"whats-hot.html" is the page, "#_cn" is the bookmark to the desired position. However, this is not functioning correctly and lands at the top of the page.

Excuse me, I'm afraid I'll show my ignorance here,I'm trying to update my music site, and am happy with the look I get when I preview in IE from Dreamweaver, but when I upload to my site online, IE chokes up and the flash object never shows up, as on the iphone iOS 4.3 safari browser, and Firefox renders the object, but too far too the left.
Basically, when I have href text of various song names in cells on a table with a background image. When a song name is clicked, I'm attempting to have songs from my soundcloud account show up and play in a cell on the table, using an iframe. This is sort of working locally in IE, but nowhere else (see above). The code I grabbed from soundcloud is a flash object with a number of parameters defined that I am not able to utilize in my current method of just using the src="http:samplefile.com" part of the ofject code, not the other object parameters.
I've also tried creating separate html pages that have the full object code and nothing else, and then having my text in my table cells call these html files to show up in the iframe--that's actually working in IE, and though the location is off, in Firefox, but not on an iphone. I cannot find any information anywhere on how to change my layout or even the ruler layout in Flash. The stage is stuck in the upper left-hand corner of the pasteboard. If I could get the zero point of the rulers to move (like to the right and down), then I could reposition the stage, but I can't. There is no edit ruler function. The zero points are right in the upper left-hand corner together.I can't see items which I need positioned to the left or above the stage at all. Does anyone know how to change the stage position on the pasteboard or ruler layout?

I am doing some pre-production on a project that requires drawing on a 3d canvas, which I think flash is the best way to go. But there is a chance down the line that this client might want the site to show up on the ipad, iphone or other mobile devices that don't support flash.
So I was playing with the idea of doing everything in html and javascript except for the actual drawing/3D area. Almost like using flash as the element. I think html5 is too premature to start using this, but might be beneficial down the line. Chances are I will just go the entire flash route, but I thought it would be interesting to try. question is pretty top level. 1) how hard would it be to drag an object from an html page using javascript, and dropping it into the flashplayer. And then manipulating it from there.
Are there any examples out there that have tried to do this?

I made a website using AJAX (with jquery) for the navigation.The pages of the site are sliding and I use remove() to destroy the old page.
Every thing seems alright, but some times the browser crashes when he tries to remove the old page containing a Flash object.
How do i remove this Flash's object for my page without having the browser crashing on my face ?Is there a way to stop the Flash execution before removing the object ?

I'm missing the command to get the object height from the html page. I just want to set the original height and width to a sprite background. The object in the html is set dynamically from the server.
Also when I resize from the authoring window the background doesn't change size where:
pageBkg_mc.height=stage.height;
pageBkg_mc.width=stage.width;
I looked in the properties panel and when I clicked on the instance of the movie clip the option to set the size was disabled. Not sure why. So I deleted the instance and put it in a new fla. The options were enabled. Then I went back to my old fla and dropped a new instance of the background there again. Added the same instance name and sizing was enabled again. Is there a reason why it became disabled?
I also updated this code and it works fine now.

I got the code from someone else's flash file and heavily modified it. The MAIN problem is that when the wheel hits zero rotation, the code tells another mc to jump to a frame and do the collisiion check. The problem is this code is in an onEnterFrame so the code has the mc jump to the frame over and over in an endless loop. I need to somehow get that part of the code OUT of the onEnterframe but I cant seem to make it work.[code]

im trying to make a website in flash andd everytime it just cycles through all 4 pages in a loop. if i redo the entire site it will work if i test it but as soon as i go to file save as and save it as a new name it goes back to looping and cannot be fixed unless i redo it again. i have 4 layers and the first frame in layer "action" has stop(); as the first line. the syntax is correct and i get zero errors. I have a mc which moves right or left depending on my mouse movement.the code is

When the mc reaches certain x positions lets say x<-1000 ,another mc (which i placed inside this first mc)starts to play and stops or fades out when reaches to x<-2000 The best example is www.3nokta.net.You will understand what i mean I just need the mclips play or stop depending on the first mc position.

I have an issue with SWFAddress in Flash: when the user navigates to a page within my flash app, I call "setValue". This changes the URL in the browser's address bar, which in turn calls the "externalChange" event in flash. This event causes the flash app to load the page displayed in the url bar... so the app keeps changing the flash page and updating the url bar into infinity.
How do I know if the url bar was changed by flash or manually by the user?

I want to play a video on my website - in its present state its 15 seconds long and stops abruptly so I want to set it to loop continuously to avoid this. I have a site at [url]... with flash content on the home page. The preloader works fine the first time you load the page, but if you click any link on the page, and then hit "back" in Internet Explorer to get back to the home page, the preloader shows stuck at 100%.
The movie file has 2 frames. The 1st for the preloader, and the 2nd for the content. Here's the code for my preloader[code]...

I will be creating an animation with a jpeg image as the background. The animation will consist of moving lines.
When I place my curser over the animation box, and have the lines animate. When I place my curser off the aniamtion box, I would like the animation to stop playing.
The curser placement would be the trigger for the animation.

Any way to cancel the flash application if it gets stuck in an infinite loop? I keep having to close the program because it's getting stuck somewhere, either infinite loop or something redundant, but taking forever to track it down...
