Flash :: Html - HREF To Call Object To Open In Ifame In Table

Excuse me, I'm afraid I'll show my ignorance here,I'm trying to update my music site, and am happy with the look I get when I preview in IE from Dreamweaver, but when I upload to my site online, IE chokes up and the flash object never shows up, as on the iphone iOS 4.3 safari browser, and Firefox renders the object, but too far too the left.
Basically, when I have href text of various song names in cells on a table with a background image. When a song name is clicked, I'm attempting to have songs from my soundcloud account show up and play in a cell on the table, using an iframe. This is sort of working locally in IE, but nowhere else (see above). The code I grabbed from soundcloud is a flash object with a number of parameters defined that I am not able to utilize in my current method of just using the src="http:samplefile.com" part of the ofject code, not the other object parameters.
I've also tried creating separate html pages that have the full object code and nothing else, and then having my text in my table cells call these html files to show up in the iframe--that's actually working in IE, and though the location is off, in Firefox, but not on an iphone. call.is it possible to reference the html object that made the call to someFunction directly using the ExternalInterface.call call?
Assume that the object that makes the call also has some Callbacks (via ExternalInterface.addCallback) that are accessible via javascript.

I am trying to call a Jscript function from a flash object. I want the function to be called when the animation ends.

The object loads but the function is not called. I can call the function other ways such as using an "onclick = mainFunction()" event on a button for example.

I'm writing HTML text into a dynamically created text field - the text and links appear perfectly, the css styling works and they change colour when you rollover them just as they should.However suddenly they've stopped actually launching the link, I don't get the mouse pointer when I rollover, I just get the select tool and when I click, nothing happens.

I have a swf within a html page. There is a function that opens an html page when an object gets to a certain x position. However, when the object gets to that point the new html page (in _self) opens over and over again and get stuck in a loop. Any way to escape this loop and what would be the best way to trigger this new html page to open when the x position of the object is true?

I've recently just started delving into both actionscript and flex...the main reason being I like to create a sortable datagrid or datagroup like thishere you click the main entry that already has some detail and the row expands to show more.It might be possible to do with an itemrenderer but for the life of me I cant seem to find any tutorial or source or demo that doesn't assume you already know what to do with the itemrenderer since you cant just drop them in and have them work it seems.

I have created a 2 dimensional array call table and want to assign each and every elements in that array to 0. The codes below shows how I have done it:

what if u want to parse a whole html table into flash and turn each colunm into an actionscript 3 array? flash doesnt know how many rows the table has, but i could print the number of rows in the same page as the html table, and make it parse the number of rows from the same page after a urlrequest the first step is to probably make a php page with my database splayed out as a table, maybe with
---- row1col1=dan row1col2=jenson row2col1=jen row2col2=dennings-------
numrows=2 and so on as table entries, and then have flash urlrequest the page i can do that, but i dont know how to parse each column into an actionscript 3 array but it only shows how to parse one value, not a whole array:[URL]

I am consuming XML which I have no control over. the XML has HTML in it which i am styling and displaying in a HTML text field. I want to remove all the html except the links.
Strip all HTML tags except links is not working for me.
does any one have any tips? regEx?
the following removes tables. var reTable:RegExp = /<tables+[^>]*>.*?</table>/s;
but now i realize i need to keep content that is the tables and I also need the links.

I made a flash file with a pop up linked to an HTML file with a virtual tour in it. Everythign works fine if I upload it to my site, but if i burn it to a CD, open the flash animation and click on the pop up link it just opens a blank browser window; my guess is it doesnt find the file because its looking in c:/.... . Is there any way i can make the flash file look for the html page inside the CD?

My Flash CS3 file displays HTML text, read in from an XML file (within CDATA). The HTML text contains links in the form of <a> (anchor) tags (of course).I am attempting to open a new customized browser window whenever a user clicks on a displayed link. So far, I am able to open a window, but the customizing attributes ("width=600,..." etc.) are ignored.Rather than displaying for you the one dozen variations I have (unsuccessfully) attempted, does anyone have a simple example of something that actually works?

My webpage consist in two Frames, a TopFrame and a MainFrame. The TopFrame contains my menu wich is made in flash. By now you might have guessed the problem. Thats right, I'm trying to get flash to open/change html files in the MainFrame by clicking the a buton on the menu in my TopFrame. This is the code I'm using:

I would like to ask when swf object rendering at the html page? Is it rendered only it's visible? If swf at the page bottom that is not visible, will swf be rendered when I scroll down? The problem is that swf object raises some events when it's rendered and I would like to force rendering even if swf object is not visible.
