But when I add a table container of 100% width it doesn't show up at all, it turns invisible....??? Something very novice that I can't see to grasp. View 3 RepliesI would like my website [URL] to be fullscreen and I've found this code to make it.But I am having problems with Firefox - the screen doesn't load anything, it is just a black screen. And in some IE the swf appears in a little square (very small) and not the size it was supposed to be in a maximized screen. The compatibility button on IE8 fixes it, but not everybody knows about this button..

getting a button in a SWF to hide and/or show DIV layers in the HTML page the SWF is sitting in.
View 9 RepliesBasically the majority of my content is flash based. I designed it using Flash Builder (Flex) and Its in a liquid layout, (everything is in percents) and if im JUST embedding the flash content it scales to the page fine, and i have the flash content set to have a padding of 50 px.
I put a header div in fine with no problems, but I have 2 problems, the first being the footer div seems to cover up the buttom of the flash content in IE, but it looks just fine in chrome. How can I solve this? I'm using the stock embed code that Flex provides, I tried to edit the css style for the div which I think is #flashContent and give it a min width and min height but it didnt seem to work, actually anything I did to #flashContent didn't seem to do anything, maybe its not the div i need to be adding that attribute to...
And my other problem is I dont even know where to start when it comes to placing a div thats 280width by 600height colum to the right side of the flash content. If i could specify a size for the flash content, and the float it left, and float the colum right, and clear it with the container div id be just fine....But remember the flash content is set to 100% Scale (well techically 100%x80% because it looked better that way). how I can start to deal with creating a more complex scaleable flash layouts that includes other divs? ALL WELL MAINTAINING IE SUPPORT? IE is ruining my life.

I have a movie clip that displays an embedded html with a bunch of divs that are expected to hide and show other divs when the users click them. i.e. imagine that you have a span with an instruction in javascript to show a div when you click it. I already made the html file, the external css and the external js. The movieclip (in actionscript 3.0) loads and displays the html content and also the css, but i haven't managed to figure out how am i supposed to link or use the javascript to do the trick. I've tried so far doing an exhausting research over the internet for the past few days and the only infromation i've got is that web developers use externalInterface to access javascript functions, but they use flash buttons to execute the js code, and it appears to me that i cannot use or embed flash btns in my site. I don't know, I'm kinda new to flash and this is the first time I work with actionscript 3.[code]or how do I achieve de hide/show thing with another method? I'll be wandering around the site in case you have any extra doubts about this subject.

Using contextMenu, i removed all BuiltInItems. Its working fine in IE.

what if u want to parse a whole html table into flash and turn each colunm into an actionscript 3 array? flash doesnt know how many rows the table has, but i could print the number of rows in the same page as the html table, and make it parse the number of rows from the same page after a urlrequest the first step is to probably make a php page with my database splayed out as a table, maybe with

Excuse me, I'm afraid I'll show my ignorance here,I'm trying to update my music site, and am happy with the look I get when I preview in IE from Dreamweaver, but when I upload to my site online, IE chokes up and the flash object never shows up, as on the iphone iOS 4.3 safari browser, and Firefox renders the object, but too far too the left.
Basically, when I have href text of various song names in cells on a table with a background image. When a song name is clicked, I'm attempting to have songs from my soundcloud account show up and play in a cell on the table, using an iframe. This is sort of working locally in IE, but nowhere else (see above). The code I grabbed from soundcloud is a flash object with a number of parameters defined that I am not able to utilize in my current method of just using the src="http:samplefile.com" part of the ofject code, not the other object parameters.
I've also tried creating separate html pages that have the full object code and nothing else, and then having my text in my table cells call these html files to show up in the iframe--that's actually working in IE, and though the location is off, in Firefox, but not on an iphone. I looked at the AdvancedDataGrid but the user does not want to have a tree-structure in any of the columns. View 3 RepliesI am creating a Flash project for a fundraising event and tend to test it every now and again. It is an accordion menu. It is going on a html page. I want the height to be relative to the width and the width to equal 100% of the browser window. When I set the html publish settings, I set it to 100% width & height. Then I embedded a swf using the loadmovie() method. I published it again. Everything seemed to be working OK but when my menu loads with the embedded swf, it goes back to normal size (actual size of project - 450x230).

If you try re-scaling the browser window, the swf doesn't scale.Out of curiosity I tried setting my html scale setting to exact fitas you can see, the swf scales to the size of the browser and re-scales if you resize the browser widow, but its all out of proportion.
