View 2 RepliesExcuse me, I'm afraid I'll show my ignorance here,I'm trying to update my music site, and am happy with the look I get when I preview in IE from Dreamweaver, but when I upload to my site online, IE chokes up and the flash object never shows up, as on the iphone iOS 4.3 safari browser, and Firefox renders the object, but too far too the left.
Basically, when I have href text of various song names in cells on a table with a background image. When a song name is clicked, I'm attempting to have songs from my soundcloud account show up and play in a cell on the table, using an iframe. This is sort of working locally in IE, but nowhere else (see above). The code I grabbed from soundcloud is a flash object with a number of parameters defined that I am not able to utilize in my current method of just using the src="http:samplefile.com" part of the ofject code, not the other object parameters.
I've also tried creating separate html pages that have the full object code and nothing else, and then having my text in my table cells call these html files to show up in the iframe--that's actually working in IE, and though the location is off, in Firefox, but not on an iphone. I have a menu bar which has several submenu items. The homepage contains a flash animation which is located under the menu bar. When the submenu items are over the flash file, the flash file will be displayed over the menu bar. I tried with z-index, but it won't work.

View 1 RepliesI animate flourish using adobe flash then export it as swf to use it again in another flash movie when i import it i use these steps:
1- I make a symbol(movie clip)
2- I import the swf to the stage
3-then I back to Scene1 to control its size and position in my movie
BUT when I finish all these steps and play my movie the flurish too slow and not soft as original its cracks!!

I am consuming XML which I have no control over. the XML has HTML in it which i am styling and displaying in a HTML text field. I want to remove all the html except the links.
Strip all HTML tags except links is not working for me.
does any one have any tips? regEx?

Is it possible to dynamically load a flex component, compiled as a swf file into a .fla file. Originally, this flex component can be loaded as a standalone flex application with parameters to connect to the appropriate server. But now a customer of mine wants to integrate this flex component (originally inserted in a flex application) in a custom flash application, thus in .fla file using Adobe Flash CS4.
I've seen that it was possible to integrate a flash animation created with Adobe Flash CS4 in a flex application. But what I need to do is the opposite.
I have a website that I created using a flash template from Hostgator. I have the text portion complete and now want to add some of my own pictures into a slide show or gallery on a serperate page linked to my site. Is there a way to do so. have little experience using them. The map works with if I use the .html file in my original folder but all the paths are relative and I'm trying to make this work in an ASP.NET MVC project using visual studio. I need to execute some javascript string code from flash swf file using actionscript 3.
I read that it could be done by passing the javascript code to the parent html document , using externalinterface.call function. Then I assume it will be faster if I can declare functions in the javascript code in the HTML document in the first use of externalinterface.call funtion ; if flash code calls the javascript code repeatedly. So let me ask you how to do that. For details , any javascript to be loaded is unknown in design time and I can not prepare a javascript file to be loaded.
just can't understand why Adobe has not corrected this very basic bug since ages. So, the thing is Windows users tend to love, GOT USED TO using CTRL+INSERT and SHIFT+INSERT for copy and paste operations.Yyyeeas I know, that under Keyboard shortcuts I can define my own shortcuts, but the real problem is, that even after the Shortcut manager eats shift insert as a paste hotkey, it just fails to function.CTRL INSERT works like a charm, but SHIFT INSERT as Paste DOES NOT.AAARRRGGHHH. View 6 RepliesI have a flash drop down menu inserted. When the drop down menu overlaps the main flash graphic below it, the flash navigation malfuctions. You cannot select a page to go to on the drop down. These are two seperate flash files. The navigation flash file is used on every page, whereas the intro flash file is only used on the home page. The navigation works perfectly on other pages where there is no other flash file.

I'm trying to develope a texteditor for my websites in As3, but I'm facing a issue, I can make my selected text bold, italic, untherline etc, I can insert a link, to an email, per example, but if I try to insert more than one email link, my textarea looses all previously inserted bolds, italics, etc, even all the line breacks are gone.
