Professional :: Enable Flash CS4 To Accept SHIFT INSERT Instead Of CTRL V?

just can't understand why Adobe has not corrected this very basic bug since ages. So, the thing is Windows users tend to love, GOT USED TO using CTRL+INSERT and SHIFT+INSERT for copy and paste operations.Yyyeeas I know, that under Keyboard shortcuts I can define my own shortcuts, but the real problem is, that even after the Shortcut manager eats shift insert as a paste hotkey, it just fails to function.CTRL INSERT works like a charm, but SHIFT INSERT as Paste DOES NOT.AAARRRGGHHH. ADOBE PLEASE CORRECT THIS ERROR TO ALLEVIATE THE PAIN!

I know that you can use the context menu using a right-mouse-click in a control to choose to cut, copy, paste, etc. I've also noticed that you can use the windows keyboard shortcuts CTRL-C for Copy and CTRL-V for Paste.
Windows supports native CTRL-Insert (for copy) and SHIFT-Insert (for paste).
However, within Flex, it seems these do not appear to work. Has anyone been able to either allow these keyboard events?

The flashplayer catches all keys pressed by the user. I'd like to know if there's a way or workaround to pass them to the browser. For instance, Ctrl-T (open new tab in firefox). I'd like to re-enable this shortcut. Maybe with javascript?

I can only get altKey is false, even i pressing alt key..

Lets say i have a button on frame 1. And if you press it normal, you ll get to frame 2. But then if you click it on another way, you ll get to frame 3. How do i do that easy?! With another way i mean like shift click or ctrl click or is it an easier way?

I have a Flash movie which fills the whole browser window. This means that always the key events are catched ("stolen") by the Flash movie only, when using Firefox. IE7 seems to be working as I want.
I want for example ctrl+w (close window), ctrl+n (new window), ctrl+t (new tab) to work in Firefox while the focus is on my Flash movie. How to accomplish this?

I'm tracking the keyUp state of the CTRL key and I'm okay with the results except when it comes to key combinations. The code I wrote below is for you to see what the issue is.
Press the CTRL/Apple key and you'll see it traces "CTRL on". Release it and you'll see it traces "CTRL off". No problem there. Now press CTRL and then press the A key (as in select all), now release A, then release the CTRL key and you see nothing traces. Does anybody have an idea about a workaround to that? I prefer not to use a continuous ENTER_FRAME hack for that if any.

1. on my contact page built with Flash CS5, I try to enter text into the boxes. Only the characters c,l,o,n,t will actually type. Nothing else enters. What did i do wrong? 2. I can't for the life of me, make a pretty flash link work to go to another URL. /facepalm

When I test a flash file by hitting "ctrl+Enter" it creates a .swf in same directory as my .fla. does the resulting .swf file actually use the selected publish settings of my .fla file? Or when creating an .swf by "ctrl+enter" does it only use a "default" setting?

I animate flourish using adobe flash then export it as swf to use it again in another flash movie when i import it i use these steps:
1- I make a symbol(movie clip)
2- I import the swf to the stage
3-then I back to Scene1 to control its size and position in my movie
BUT when I finish all these steps and play my movie the flurish too slow and not soft as original its cracks!!

I have discovered a bug with KeyboardEvent.KEY_UP keyLocation values for the shift keys. how to reproduce this:
1.when no other keys are down the value for left shift is 1 and for right shift is 2 for KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN and KeyboardEvent.KEY_UP
2. when you have pressed shift and then press another key - when releasing shift the value for left and right become 0.
There is absolutely no reason why these values should report anything other then what they initially reported on key down as each key fires its own event with details for each , regardless of any key combinations. Im using cs5.5 windows 7 basic.

I've just started looking at adding ctrl-left-click and shift-left-click copying of movieclips to my project (so for example the user can click on a clip, hit ctrl, and a duplicate MC with a new name is created).
I think I can work out a way of doing it, but before I create something that contains unnecessary code, I was wondering if there is a standard way of doing this using as3 and AIR?

Is it possible to dynamically load a flex component, compiled as a swf file into a .fla file. Originally, this flex component can be loaded as a standalone flex application with parameters to connect to the appropriate server. But now a customer of mine wants to integrate this flex component (originally inserted in a flex application) in a custom flash application, thus in .fla file using Adobe Flash CS4.
I've seen that it was possible to integrate a flash animation created with Adobe Flash CS4 in a flex application. But what I need to do is the opposite.

I have a website that I created using a flash template from Hostgator. I have the text portion complete and now want to add some of my own pictures into a slide show or gallery on a serperate page linked to my site. Is there a way to do so. have little experience using them. I thought I could insert the slide show directly into the template like an HTML page.My site is live now and it will give you a better understanding of what I want because I am pretty ignorant when trying to describe issues that I have.My goal would be to have a seperate page not linked to the bones buttons on the top, just a page that I have in my public html folder that are hyper linked to words in the website itself

I have a flash drop down menu inserted. When the drop down menu overlaps the main flash graphic below it, the flash navigation malfuctions. You cannot select a page to go to on the drop down. These are two seperate flash files. The navigation flash file is used on every page, whereas the intro flash file is only used on the home page. The navigation works perfectly on other pages where there is no other flash file.

I want to upload flv files to my website. I have got it worling fine - insert media - flv - progressive download - etc. When I view the file in the testing server it does not have the option to "view in full screen" which I need as I want to keep the preview windows small and have several videos on the one page. Is there code I need to enter in addition to that generated by Dreamweaver? I'm not familiar with Flash Pro or Media Encoder but I do have access to them if t makes the whole process easier.

I only allow PNG and JPEG files to be uploaded which I defined for all windows computers using the FileFilter via the constructor. The problem is that mac systems (or unix in generell) don't only use the file extension but also read some file type in the header of a file I think.

I've got five buttons and want them their enabled property to toggle as you move through the menu. So, if MenuItem1 is disabled (because you're in that section), then you click on MenuItem2, MenuItem1 is automatically enabled. I'm using SimpleButtons. No need to use anything more than that.

Is it possible for flash to accept value from a database?There is a database storing values "postions" and "descriptions" (there are 2 coloumns named so to store the values).In flash I want to accept the values entered in these 2 coloumns. How to go about it? If I create 2 dynamic text boxes with variable names "p" and "d" respectively and an "accept" button on the scene, what script should I add to the button so that these text boxes accept the values?
so my 2 queries are:
1) how do I send the value from the database to flash?
2) how do I accept the same in flash?

If I encode all colors into one single float value (RGB) as:
