There's this cool site [URL] it has great image views, was wondering, how do they do that scrolling before and after effect? I am not too great at scripting, but would like to learn, seems great for portfolio presentation.
I'm coding a image viewer application for tablets using Adobe Flex 4.5. Basically, I have a list with a custom item renderer that renders the images in the list. I have set up the image size to be the width/height of the tablet device in portrait (600x1024). This way, only one image can be seen at one time. The problem is that when the device orients to landscape, this design obviously screws up. My question is how can I get it to change the width/height of my images automatically when the orientation changes such that only one image is shown at a time?This is my list:
I cant load an image from a class.I have main.as which calls Classplayer.as Classplayer calls ClassMisiile.I cant load an image from ClassMissile .I can load the image in Classplayer and dont know why the image in ClassMissile doesnt appear and it is spelt right and in the correct directory.I dont get an error and the functions work but no image.
I would like to create a scrolling effect on one of my MovieClips. In Javascript I'd simply create two divs, one positioned absolutely in the other, and have the surrounding one have the style 'overflow: none'. Now I want to achieve the same in ActionScript, as shown in the following picture:
When I try to set the size of the surrounding MovieClip the contents just get 'squashed'. I want it to stay the same and the parts outside of the 'rectangle to be hidden outside of the MovieClip.
I want effect like that numbers have scrolling effect. that means lets have two number 55623 and second is 78945. now first the first one will display and now scrolling will happen and the second number will come, like in game come and i also want to use that in my html form, so how can i use that value in my html form?
Does anyone know how to make an LED scrolling text effect? This is the best way I can describe it as I don't want scrolling text in the normal way, I want it to be on one line moving right to left with very few characters. Like you might see in an elevator or shop window on an LED scroller.
I was wondering if anybody could show me how to achieve the Parallax scrolling effect like seen on here :[code] I literally just need it to work with 2 layers, a foreground and background.
I saw a websitethere is a parallax effect, when we click on the bottom links it goes to specific location or the specific point where the internal page is located.Actually I want to integrate this effect in my portfolio, Is there any tutorial or script like this?
I saw this [URL] (the 3d effect on the loading page is cool to) effect and was wondering how it would be programed in as. Parelex scrolling is currently not in any tutorials.
I'm trying to get this effect [URL] but, instead of scrolling through pictures from an xml I want it to load one movieclip from the library and pan in and out as shown in the demo.
ActionScript Code: var xmlURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest("images.xml"); var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); var xml:XML; //Declares the image array var imageArray:Array = new Array(); [Code] .....
I tried to modify this so it would work to my standards, but it doesn't... I don't even get any errors.
I want to create a parallax scrolling effect using 3 PNG images that are 950px x 335px. One image is the foreground, another is the background and the third is the "middle" image. What I want to do is automatically scroll each image horizontally at different speeds, but I can't figure out how to do that using AS3. All the parallax examples I've seen so far requires the user to scroll the background using their mouse or keyboard, and that's not what I want to do. I want it to automatically start scrolling when the user loads the page.Can this be done with AS3? If so, can someone give me a script or tell me where to find one?
I'm trying to achieve a scrolling effect like this one.[URL].. I'm trying to achieve a scrolling effect similar to that where the page will scroll with the mouse and rotate like that, also have a maximum scroll and rotation, but also be able to be pushed aside for sub content.
I'm obviously not asking anyone to build the whole thing for me, just point me in the right direction.
I'm trying to create a movie clip with images that will slide from one image to another using next and previous buttons. I want a sliding effect. For example on this site: [URL] The right side large image you can slide the image by using the arrows. That's exactly what I want...but in flash.
Fk says my last login was 3/23/2006! So I'm rather rusty! All I wanted for now is to drag an image and update the view on release. So, I have two frames:
[Code]....
When I play, it starts and stops dragging nicely. But it will not advance the frame. If I try something else like getUrl, that works fine too. gotoandPlay does nothing as well, though. What am I missing? This is Flash MX2004, as2.
There are panorama viewers available in flash that basically just scroll a flat image from side to side like this: [URL]. I was wondering about the possibilities of a flash viewer that would also warp an image so that you could view a 360 image and then be able to look straight up and down also since the image is mapped to the inside of sphere. Here is an example in a java viewer that warps the image: [URL]. I can create a shockwave 3d pano using director but I would like to have a flash viewer. It must be hard or impossible since I have not seen one available yet in flash.
I'm all done working on my gallery for my website.I have one last question: Now that I have a working thumb gallery, when I look at my scene there is no main image that pops up until you click on one of the thumbs.Is there a simple action script I can add so that when the person opens or load the page the very first image of my thumbs can pop up automatically?
I have a flex 3 application that creates an Image from a canvas which the user draws on. I use the ImageSnapshot class to create the image
var imageSnap:ImageSnapshot=ImageSnapshot.captureImage(myCanvas); var imageByteArray:ByteArray=imageSnap.data as ByteArray;
I want the user to be able to print or save the image. I can use the following code to print the image but flex does not provide good control over printing across multiple pages
var printJob:FlexPrintJob=new FlexPrintJob(); printJob.start(); printJob.addObject(myCanvas, FlexPrintJobScaleType.SHOW_ALL);
I would like to display the image in a browser window so that the user could print it using the built in browser functionality or right click on the image and save it. Can this be done without requesting server side code to do it?
Stage snapshot with webcam view and image is not working if the .swf is moved
private function initTracking() : void { stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE; stage.align = StageAlign.TOP; var camW : int = 640; var camH : int = 500; [Code]...
I'm about to have to write a web page/app that will serve the agenda for circa 100 people on a page. One line per person, one column per day with 3 clickable zones in each cell. In HTML, the page is way complex for the browser to load quick and there is no possibility to click on a border between 2 cells to for example split an event that spreads among several cells. So I search an not too overkilling technology to render this kind of view. I begun with a PHP generated HTML page but the number of elements in the page make the mouse move jerky.
Moving to JAVA would give me better performances regarding the reuse of the generator of the view but it will still be an HTML page. So, here is my question: do you think that going forward with JAVA and its graphical capability is the simple solution or is Flash a better option for this part of a Web App? I'm afraid of the code I'll have to write in JAVA to handle the GUI presentation as well as the events generated by the 1000's cells plus borders of the page. In Flash, the graphical part seems simpler even if the actions handling is still huge.
I'm currently using RobotLegs with the Presentation Model pattern to develop a Flex 4 project. I understand that all business logic related to a View resides in the Presentation Model associated with that view, however, I am confused when it comes to View specific logic.For example, I have an indicator that needs to be positioned relatively to list items depending on which list item is selected. Is it acceptable in the Presentation pattern to put the logic that will position the indicator in the View and simply have that logic run in reaction to a selectedIndex property changing in the presentation model?The reason I am considering this is that since the Presentation Model does not have a reference to the view it is difficult to come up with an ideal solution for manipulating view components.
