I could contact about building a custom live Flash media encoder for our website. We have a database for authentication and a list of upcoming events with stream information (FMS URL and Stream Name) that we want to automate into an encoder. Currently we have our customers use Flash Media Live Encoder and copy/paste the values into the encoder, but would prefer a solution that is more tightly integrated with our site
I have installed the Authentication Add-In on a FMS 3.5.5 Development version, running Windows 2008 Server.I can easily get to the users.exe command prompt and add users with no problem.BUT, when I open the Flash Media Live Encoder and go to enter a username/password when connecting to the server, I keep getting "User Not Found".I've went back several times using users.exe and tested for my user credentials and it always states that the user is there.
when i try to live stream with FMS! I can stream video with Flash media live encoder to the server but when i create the player to recieve the livestream from server,i can not recieve the live stream, can anyone give me a step by step tutorial of how to do it?
i have got a video application using FLVPLAYBACK component. isLive=true, rtmp://application/live/demo Flash media live encoder 3 the instance is demo. Everything works fine.I need to know when Flash Media Live Encoder 3 is off-line. how i can do that FLVPLAYBACK detect this action and the client is disconnected. i try using buffering but i don't know, how take a time for it. for example is 5sec in buffering do another action or is there some function that detects when there is off-line?
This is sort of a follow up to my previous post, asking about streaming through FMS to Apple and Android.Android and Blackberry devices require that the audio component of video streams be encoded using AAC. Right now I'm telling my customers to buy the MainConcept AAC plugin, or to buy VidBlaster or Wirecast. Can anyone from Adobe comment on when Adobe might release a version of FMLE that includes AAC?
I would like to know if there is a solution available that allows me to plug 2 HDV cameras into a laptop and live switch between the 2 cameras while uploading the live stream via adobe flash media live encoder to the adobe streaming server? the scenario is I want to offer live streaming of corporate seminars that I normally shoot with 2 cameras.
I'm new to Adobe Flash and I'm just trying out the Flashe Media Server 4.5 to stream live video on a local machine. I'm using a FLME 3.2 to capture the video from my digital camera, which works fine, and I can connect to the server with no worries as well. But I have issues streaming the content in the Sample Video Player that comes with the server.
[Code]....
I've also tried playing some sample videos on it. it even refuses to play those. What could be the problem??
Allright, so i'm searching for information on how to write plugins for FMLE 3.0, the reason is that i need to extend some functionality regarding the metadata injections. So, does anyone here know of an API/Framework/SDK like paper that is a good place to start reading? Any input will be welcome, except "nay sayers" because i know it's possible to make plugins, ive seen one or two out there, just dont know where to start.
PS. I have plenty experience in writing DLL's for windows applications, but i would rather refrain from reverse-engineering FMLE to use windows hooks and insert dll's at run/loadtime, would rather have a more or less "intentional" framework to work with.
I would like to build a video conferencing app that supports H.264. Is there a way to use Flash to do that? I understand that Flash natively supports the Sorensen Spark video codec and that you need to use Flash Live Encoder 3 for H.264 encoding. I can't seem to find any documentation that shows me how to use FLE3 with ActionScript.
I have a web app that connects two computers and streams video to each other like a video conference. It currently works and also records the video in .f4v format. I am trying to figure out what I need to do to enable the client pc's to stream in H.264. Is it true that I have to use some type of encoder (like Live Encoder) to use H.264? If so, does Live Encoder have to be installed on the client computers? If that is true, is there a way to install the live encoder through our web app, configure it, and close it down when the conference is over, with no interaction from the client? Is there some type of plug-in that we could use that would eliminate the need for installing live encoder on the client computers?
We are testing Flash Media Server 3.5 with Flash Media Live Encoder 3. Right now we have the problem, that we can not connect from FM Live Encoder 3 to FMS 3.5 running on the localhost (M:AdobeFlash Media Server 3.5Apache2.2). Both running as Standard Installation on the same System (OS: Windows XP SP2). The User is not found. So where do we have to setup the user, so that the connection is possible
is there a possibility of authentication FMLE users to the server on the FMSS? Or such a possibility exists only in the FMIS? Actually, somebody had to deal with this problem? Decide whether it?
What I'm looking to do is have a flash player that constantly plays a loop of videos, but it automatically switches to our live stream whenever we start the encoder. Is this possible, and if it is...how can I do this?
Flash Live Media Encoder claims that it can encode video from a firewire connection.Does it also encode audio from the same firewire connection?I've been told that past versions encoded video only
I am trying to create a flash player to stream an on online Internet radio station using FMS. I chose FMS after being told that I need RTMP server to extract the metadata. Our radio audio is being encoded using a DJ interface called SAM Broadcaster. But for some reason, it does not have an option to send over the stream directly to a Flash Media Server. Only options are either IceCAST or ShoutCAST. How should i setup the stream? Should it be Stream encoder>> IceCAST/SHOUTCast Server>>Flash Media Server>>Flash Player Client. Or should I setup Stream Encoder>>Flash Media Server>>Flash Player Client? Shouldn't Flash Media Server be an alternative to IceCast or Shoutcast? If that is the case, how do I send over the stream from SAM Broadcaster directly to Flash Media Server without restreaming through another streaming server?
I have Flash Media Streaming Server 3.5 (not Interactive) running on RHEL5.5 x86_64 Linux. All is working well, however how do I prevent unauthorized access to connecting to the live stream and streaming content? How can I setup the server to require a user and password to stream live media to the server?I am new to this product and I have been reading some documentation but I have not found a clear cut answer on how to force a username and password to connect to the server to stream live content only.I am using the Adobe FMS Apache install, what files need changing?[code]I want to lock down a person from connecting to the server on the public internet and starting a live stream? Can this be done with a user name and password?
I would like to include Flash Live Media Encoder libraries (i.e. support for Flash Media Streaming) in an application I am developing. Ideally, this would be without having to install the FMLE Gui (though I can live with that); in a manner similar to WireCast or Tricaster. Could someone explain how one might go abount legally "bundling" FMLE 3.2 support etc.
I'm running Flash Media Streaming Server and have only been serving VOD up until now. I had my network administrator open up port 1935 to the outside world during the setup process and now I can't remember if that was actually required for streaming VOD to clients. Most documentation I've read says that this port should be open, but I seem to recall reading something at one point that suggested it wasn't necessary.
I've just started messing around with publishing live streams using Flash Media Live Encoder to the Flash Media Streaming Server. I have that working without issue but was surprised to find that no authentication is required before a client running the live encoder can publish a stream to the Flash Media Streaming Server. An authentication module is available however it only works with Flash Media Interactive Server and Flash Media Development Server.
If I leave port 1935 open to the outside world, there would be nothing to stop anybody anywhere from streaming video via my server. Anyone else running a default install of Flash Media Streaming Server and with port 1935 open to the outside should see that this is true of their setup as well. I'm wondering if I can safely close port 1935 without limiting the functionality of the server or if there's some way I can require authentication prior to publishing a live stream even though I'm not on the four-and-a-half-times-more-expensive edition of the product.
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this or not, but I thought I remembered a way to pass a username and password to FMS via Flash Media Live Encoder? I simply need to pass two values, equivalent to this in AS3[url]...
I have a FMS 4.5 with (License) and is set up and running fine, now I want to stream Live to the IOS Devices but no luck. I have a web page for test purpose with the video src tags to: URL... and in the server I have a livestream.m3u8 pointing to the same URL..., Now the Encoder have the AAC plugin and all the presets like it shut but when I go to see it in my IPad 2 this is how it looks.
how to limited Media Encoder connect the media server?I have a adobe media server3 for liniux and hava a live IP. I can use the Media Encoder connenct the media server anywhere when I use the live IP. I want to know how to limited Media Encoder connect the media server.
I am trying to encode and stream live video. I have downloaded both the Flash Media Encoder and Flash Media Server. To complete the process of streaming video, it appears that I need to obtain a "flash media server URL address" which is called "RTMP" on the encoder page. Where can I find this? Is this something that can be downloaded, or do I have to purchase this from a partner like Level 3 communications, AT&T, etc.?
Is there a way to automate authentication via adding the username/password in the profile XML of flash media encoder live (3.2)? I'm not referring to the command line parameters, but placing a tag in the xml file that contains the username/password for both the primary and backup server.
I m a begginer with FMS. I have a licenced version of FMS and I want to stream a live video from the Localhost or another machine with camera. And then then I should broadcast it to many clients. I don't know how to begin
