Oct 21, 2010We have one application in which we are using flash media server 2.0.5. We dont know why it's stop taking connection occasionally at that time we can't enter into the managment console. We get a white screen. When we try to enter user name and password it's does not accpet the credentials. We are not getting anything in the log.Port number 1935 and 1111 of the particular system where FMS has placed are working fine.

Sep 27, 2010I'm using the RTMFP protocol to publish and play video and audio, but i'm with a little problem. I installed the FMS 4 Development Server in a Windows Server machine located in our local network and it works perfectly. In order to deploy our application, we have a remote server with a fresh install of the Ubuntu 10.04 Server, and the FMS 4 installed in this server. In other server we have the Java and Flex application, which will be used in the client browser.
The problem is that when trying to change the NetConnection url to the remote FMS server, which is the Ubuntu server, the netconnection can't connect to it. When changing to the RTMP protocol it connects, but with the RTMFP don't. I can't find any information in the log files or anything else.

Media Server :: Getting A Connection Error?
Jan 11, 2010We have two servers - one stores the media files and runs FMS. The other creates dynamic webpages. I have edited the 'dynamic stream' SMIL example on the media server, to include a full URL:

If I open the standard FMS index page, the 'dynamic stream' example works fine. However, if I copy that code over to a page on my webpage server (linking back to the media server of course), I get a 'connection error'. The weird part though is that if I limit the 'switches' in the SMIL file to just one video, it works again, eg:

It makes no difference which file I choose, as long as there is just one.I am using the same video player that all the examples use (FMS 3.5), so my thought is that something in that player is causing a cross domain security exception when it has more than one stream to choose from. I tried disabling the firewall, so it's not that, and I updated server.xml to point to a custom crossdomain.xml file:

Oct 18, 2011I have established Flash Media Server 4.5 on the house computer with win7 a router wasn't present, the cord goes on a straight line to the computer, at me allocated IP. I want that it was possible to address to the server from the Internet. At first video was started only on a local computer, then after change resolved ип in "adaptor.xml" the starting page of the server has started to open with other computers and examples work, video plays. But to incorporate on "rtmfp" leaves only from that computer on which there is a server (under the test on http://cc.rtmfp.net/all green points and one more too with all green points) leaves that computers can incorporate to the server on "rtmp" as the example of the server with video translation works well, but on "rtmfp" connects only those at whom green points.

Nov 2, 2011I am building a Flex and PHP application in which I am providing users a Save results option, which will invoke the php service that generates the results file. I then have the FileReference.download (url) function with the url of the file generated. Problem here is the popup to save comes before the file is even generated in the server. So user will get the incomplete file as the file generation will take atleast 10-15 seconds.

customerTyped.printToFile(customerArray,displayno);
does not wait for it to return and continues to execute the next statements asynchronously. How do I make the download dialog to wait from popping up until the printToFile php function is completed?

Media Server :: RTMPT Connection Is Breaking With FMLE?
Aug 18, 20101) I am trying to make connection with Flash Media Server to publish live video streaming, and I am sitting behind proxy and firewall, I am not able to make my connection with rtmp that's why I use rtmpt to make my connection with media server to publish .But in this case after publishing some time(ie 5 to 10 minutes) connection break down and streaming get stopped .The same problem occurs when I use "Flash Media Live Encoder 3" to publish live stream .
2) I am making my connection like this "rtmpt://xx.yy.zz.kk:80/Training" where xx.yy.zz.kk represent live System IP where Flash Media Server is running.
3) After analyzing the problem I observed that while publishing the stream ,http requests from Publishing system keeps on increasing and at one time it crosses the limit of proxy server (our proxy can handle 600 http requests per minute from any client PC) so streaming get stopped.
4) Then I attended "adobe connect pro" Trail classroom session by sitting behind the same proxy and firewall,But in this case my live video streaming is not breaking down ,as per my understanding adobe connect pro also use Flash Media Server for streaming.
Media Server :: Getting Connection Error With Rtmp On Other Computers
Aug 27, 2010I have FMS 3.5 installed on a Windows 2003 server, service pack 2. I access the server via remote desktop on my computer and when I use the Sample Video Player, I can get the sample rtmp videos working on the server and also on my own personal computer, but when I try and play the samples in the video player on any other computer, I get a Connection Error. I've verified the ports are all working. I've also checked the admin console and when I connect with both the server and my own computer I get 2 connections. When I try from an outside computer, no connection is shown. So it's not even getting to FMS to even register. What else might I be missing?
