I am publishing my live stream with rtmpt protocol on port 80,to overcome network proxy.
But after 10 to 15 minutes (telecast) video get stuck and connection get lost.But i don't
have this problem when i use rtmp protocol with port 1935.
1) I am trying to make connection with Flash Media Server to publish live video streaming, and I am sitting behind proxy and firewall, I am not able to make my connection with rtmp that's why I use rtmpt to make my connection with media server to publish .But in this case after publishing some time(ie 5 to 10 minutes) connection break down and streaming get stopped .The same problem occurs when I use "Flash Media Live Encoder 3" to publish live stream .
2) I am making my connection like this "rtmpt://xx.yy.zz.kk:80/Training" where xx.yy.zz.kk represent live System IP where Flash Media Server is running.
3) After analyzing the problem I observed that while publishing the stream ,http requests from Publishing system keeps on increasing and at one time it crosses the limit of proxy server (our proxy can handle 600 http requests per minute from any client PC) so streaming get stopped.
4) Then I attended "adobe connect pro" Trail classroom session by sitting behind the same proxy and firewall,But in this case my live video streaming is not breaking down ,as per my understanding adobe connect pro also use Flash Media Server for streaming.
Our flash media server stops taking connection sometime. Any one have any idea about sophos antivirus?
View 8 RepliesI'm trying to make a software which sends video and audio data to a flash media server by using RTMP protocol. Currently, my program can communicate with a flash media server correctly. RTMP specifications does not describe about the raw data in video/audio messages, so I muxed raw H.264 and AAC data into video/audio messages and sent to the server. The server seems to accept them, but a video player cannot playback the stream sending from the server. The player just says "Loading..." For a test purpose, I sniffed the network packets between Wirecast and the flash media server and ripped off only video and audio data. Then, I muxed those data into video/audio message and sent to the flash media server. In this case, the video player connected to the server can playback the stream correctly.
I checked the stream sent from Wirecast, the stream seems not to be H.264 raw data because those data are not started from 0x17 instead of H.264 start code. With those situation, I am wondering what kind of container format I should use for H.264/AAC data to the flash media server.
Is it possible to stop a (live) Stream from playing for a user, but keep his NetConnection open for eg chat functionality?I only see a setBandwidthLimit to accomplish something similar to this, but then, if BW is set to 0, chat won't work.Why isn't there a built in feature to do something of seemingly common necessity like Client.stream.stop/change function to stop or change what video playback the client sees?
View 2 Repliesi have a linux machine with two NICs, one for Apache/PHP (port 80) and the other for FMS 4 (ports 1935, 80). I need to use RTMPT over port 80 due to our organization wireless network restrictions. I think i have set up everything right, but we cannot see any video using the wifi clients. Apparently, the problem disappears when opening the firewall and allowing port 1935 traffic.

We have a pool of FMS 3.5 servers behind a haproxy load balancer. They are working fine with RTMP and download with HTTP through FMS proxy. We need now to have RTMPT working for some clients behind a strict firewall.

I am trying to connect to the Flash media servers from behind a customer's firewall.From behind this firewall the time taken for a response (its usually success) is around 20-25 seconds.The following is the code I am using to make the connection and listen to the events

The delay between time1 and time2 is always 20-25 seconds. From other firewalls and non firewalled networks its usually 3-4 seconds.What could be the reason for this huge delay for a response in this case. I have noticed that the first response is always a "NetConnection. Connect.Success".We are looking to deploy around 20-30 media servers if we can get this thing to work and appreciate any prompt response in this regard.
I've been trying to figure out FMS for about a week now. Because of company firewalls, all traffic must go through either port 80 or 443 (I configured this in FMS.ini). I also created a self-signed SSL certificate and configured the adaptor.xml file to use it. Nevertheless, here are the problems I am experiencing: For RTMPT & RTMPTE, I can't start more than 9 connections. Beforing configuring FMS to also use port 443, I could only get about 4 connections. Now I would like to say that I testing this between only two computers, the FMS server with apache web server and a client.why it will not at least start 10 connections which I know is the limit for the dev version? Also, when using RTMPS I can only start 1 connection. Why is that?
View 4 RepliesIn our company we upgraded to fms 4 and installed the apache that comes bundle up with the installation. We had it configure and now we can play videos in html 5 by using the http protocol. The question I have is, can we use https protocol instead of rtmps? I've been doing a lot of research and I found documentation that says to put a minus sign in front of port 443 (-443) in the fms.ini file in the ADAPTOR.HOSTPORT line but it also says that with this configuration port 443 will only receive rtmps connections. My next step is to put the minus sign in front of the port number and restart the server and just try to establish connection using https to see if i works.

We get a white screen. When we try to enter user name and password it's does not accpet the credentials. View 1 RepliesI'm using the RTMFP protocol to publish and play video and audio, but i'm with a little problem. I installed the FMS 4 Development Server in a Windows Server machine located in our local network and it works perfectly. In order to deploy our application, we have a remote server with a fresh install of the Ubuntu 10.04 Server, and the FMS 4 installed in this server. In other server we have the Java and Flex application, which will be used in the client browser.
The problem is that when trying to change the NetConnection url to the remote FMS server, which is the Ubuntu server, the netconnection can't connect to it. When changing to the RTMP protocol it connects, but with the RTMFP don't. I can't find any information in the log files or anything else.
I managed to make a local streaming (connection) to the server,by seting the FME at rtmp://localhost(or my IP)/live.But now i want to make a non local streaming.

It seems they're all created in between live event streams - after a live stream has stopped published and before the next live event stream begins, about a 20 minute break.

We have two servers - one stores the media files and runs FMS. The other creates dynamic webpages. I have edited the 'dynamic stream' SMIL example on the media server, to include a full URL:

If I open the standard FMS index page, the 'dynamic stream' example works fine. However, if I copy that code over to a page on my webpage server (linking back to the media server of course), I get a 'connection error'. The weird part though is that if I limit the 'switches' in the SMIL file to just one video, it works again, eg:

It makes no difference which file I choose, as long as there is just one.I am using the same video player that all the examples use (FMS 3.5), so my thought is that something in that player is causing a cross domain security exception when it has more than one stream to choose from. I tried disabling the firewall, so it's not that, and I updated server.xml to point to a custom crossdomain.xml file:

View 2 RepliesI have established Flash Media Server 4.5 on the house computer with win7 a router wasn't present, the cord goes on a straight line to the computer, at me allocated IP. I want that it was possible to address to the server from the Internet. At first video was started only on a local computer, then after change resolved ип in "adaptor.xml" the starting page of the server has started to open with other computers and examples work, video plays. But to incorporate on "rtmfp" leaves only from that computer on which there is a server (under the test on http://cc.rtmfp.net/all green points and one more too with all green points) leaves that computers can incorporate to the server on "rtmp" as the example of the server with video translation works well, but on "rtmfp" connects only those at whom green points.
