Professional :: Converting .fla To .mov To .mp4 For Imbedding In Powerpoint

I've been running into issues with the compression of my flash animations when imbedding them into powerpoint. The .mov files provide sharp playback, but after they are converted to mp4, the resolution drops. I need mp4 files so that the movies are compatible with both Mac and PC versions of powerpoint. I have changed the settings to increase the frames per second, and have the highest qualities selected when converting from .mov to .mp4 without luck.
Is there a better way to convert .fla to .mp4 for PC Powerpoint compatibility?
Extreme newbie here... How can I embed a Flash CS3 .swf file into an email? We are using Outlook Mac 2011. This is going to be mass emailed to a client list.
I'm using flash instead of powerpoint for a presentation. I want to use a remote clicker (like people use in pp presentations).I have one that works, but only when the cursor in on top of one of the buttons in the actual presentation. Icanmake the buttons in flash to travel backward and forward along the timeline, or to move to different movies etc. But I would like to use a clicker that will allow the presenter to just click a button to go back, and click the other button to go forward, without having to reposition the cursor on the laptop over the button he wants to interact with. Doesthis make sense? I have an invisible button in the lower left and right hand corners ofthe presentation. the remote clicker works, but only when it is over one of thsoe buttons. But the remote clicker is set up for powerpoint with a next slide and previous slide button that would be much more handy to use.
When I wanted to insert a SWF into a PowerPoint 2007 presentation, I would use the More Controls dialog in PowerPoint's Developer tab to insert a Shockwave/Flash object. But in PowerPoint 2010, that control is missing from the dialog. Where did it go? When I click the Register Custom DLL, there's no obvious file to choose, either.
Has anyone else run into this? I'm not looking for a way to convert a SWF into a video that can be embedded or using a 3rd-party plug-in or anything like that. I know how to do those things. I'm specifically looking to insert a SWF using only what's built into PowerPoint and Flash
Placing swf file into powerpoint as per the correct procedure,1) developer tab, hammer/spanner icon, hit s and scroll to shockwave flash object, clear slide and draw out a shockwave flash object box, r/c properties, put path of swf into movie part of shockwave Flash object properties box. run movie.Movie runs fine, then when returning to that slide, or the powerpoint presentation is re-run, (there is a need in the safety lecture to rerun the presentation again and again) the movie is still stuck on the last frame.There is a supposed fix atSurely with big players on the field like Adobe and Microsoft there has to be a solution to this. This should have been resolved long ago. We forever see that flash plays in powerpoint mentuioned on the net, NO IT DOESNT ! apparently
I use this method to place a SWF in Powerpoint 2007. How do I make the path relative and not absolute? So whatever path/destination I put in the "Movie" property is absolute and if and when I sent this PPTX file to someone (like in a folder) the SWF no longer plays. I wanted to make a path that is relative... so instead of putting "C:UseProfileDesktopFlash.swf" I wanted to know if I could do something like "Flash.swf" and then it'll play the SWF since it'd be in the root (or maybe a subfolder).

I have a flash menu with buttons which need to open Powerpoint presentations. At the moment, getURL does not work. Would fscommand work? how to use this? I am using CS5 and PPT 2007.
I have a Flash file that I would like to import into PowerPoint. First a few pieces of information: 1. I use a Mac but have a Parallel system at work so I have access to Windows PPT 2008. I am using Flash CS5. 2. The Flash file is not huge, it's just these animated curtains that open up to reveal a logo and text.
Questions: 1. I have found the only way to import the Flash file is to export as a .mov and then import that into PPT. This works great EXCEPT for that the text and logo look blurry in PPT. I have no idea why. 2. Is it possible to export a .mov file with just the curtain animation but with a transparent background so that when I import into PPT, we can just type the text directly within PPT and not have to include that in the Flash file? 3. I read online that you can import SWFs into Windows PPT but I have not been able to get that to work either.
Hey everyone. I'm trying to finish up my website made in flash cs3 using actionscript2. At first, when I uploaded my published html and swf to my server, the swf always appeared to the left side of the browser window even though it was set to center and, regardless of the apparent "showall" setting, also appeared to big to fit in the window when I tried to view it on a lower resolution setting. By writing a new html file with the swf embedded into a table, I fixed the centering problem but every attempt at getting it to scale down for lower resolutions fails.I've tried imbedding code in the fla and in the html. Also I have a custom size swf at 1008 X 672. Is this why it's not working?
I am developing a product for schools including flash animations - swf files written in AS3 - for insert/embed into PowerPoint slideshows. Hundreds of customers are waiting. It is all working apart from one problem: when inserted/embedded in PowerPoint 2007 slideshows my animations freeze (sometimes) when you leave and return to a PowerPoint slide containing them.
I have found that when you show a PP2007 slide containing a flash movie, move on to the next slide and then return, (sometimes) the time-related Events (ENTER_FRAME, TIMER etc) have stopped being dispatched to AS3 code by Flash Player, freezing animations. Other Events such as MOUSE_MOVE, KEY_DOWN etc are dispatched to AS3 in random bursts. I've been having a bit of a hard time understanding how to get a button which I have created in Flash to navigate to the next slide of the PowerPoint presentation which it has been added into.
I understand that I somehow need to make use of fscommand in ActionScript, but I'm not sure how I can get Flash and PowerPoint to communicate between themselves.
i've been looking around for answers to my problem to no avail. What I want to do is create a powerpoint style presentation. But rather than change slides, I have one large "graphic" that I am moving around and zooming into by "motion tweening" Now all I need to do is: (with a keyboard event) start the motion tween and then let it play out then start the next motion tween and let it play out and so on. all i have is this, which allows me to start and stop it when it is tweening, but isn't as effective as it stopping at then end of a motion tween, then allowing me to push a key and for it to go to the next "slide"
I'm trying to create a flash video that will incorporate powerpoint-like slides along with video footage. So for instance I will have slide 1 (graphic) - slide 2 (video clip) - slide 3 (text). I have used CS4 before for one of my classes but that was a little while ago, and I feel like I'm starting over again. When I import the first graphic (.png), is there an option to have it resize to fit the stage?
I just spent way too long making an animated banner ad...fade-ins, tweens etc. I sent as a swf.Now they say they can take only anim gifs, gifs, or jpgs.a gif or jpg would mean a stagnant ad, correct?When I change publish settings to animated gif, it gets all screwed up. kind of posterized Is my only choice to recreate the ad in Photoshop as an animated gif?[URL]
Does anyone know of an effective way to do this, besides using converters? I created a menu like controller that will control the PPT once it's been converted to a swf. I've tried everything, and am hoping I won't have to just copy the data into an .fla by hand.

I created an animation in Flash and added audio to go with it. I need to export to a movie file so I can eventually turn it into a FLV file for the web. The problem is the audio is about 5 minutes long and it doesn't seem like Flash can support this long of a timeline. Does anyone know of an easier way to combine my animation and audio?
I have CS3, but was trying out the CS5 trial. Unfortunatedly i forgot to save my .fla back to something CS3 could use! Smooth I know, but does anyone know of a way to convert back, or would anyone with CS5 be able to save my file as something CS3 could use? If that is even possible.

Basically, I have a FLVplayer called vidPlayer and 3 dynamic text fields that put text in when they are clicked. I want to be able to keep the button clicked in the 'over' state, and to do this I believe arrays are needed? What is the best way to convert an animation created in Flash to a .mov file. I've tried the export movie command in the file menu, changing various settings in the publish settings in Flash and and in the Quicktime options boxes. But the resulting .mov file has all kinds of fragments and artifacts. Has anybody had any luck creating animations in Flash and then converting them into a format that can be assemble in iMovie?
how to convert my curent Flash Professional project into an AIR project.
I've been using Flash Pro to do animations with some minor coding in the frames, and I'm using Flash builder to do the coding. However I realized that my application needs to be able to use the File system, which means I'll need to use AIR's API. However there's no way for me to import AIR's library to my flash builder project
I created a swf file useing Flash and need to convert this to a mov file. I watched a training video and under Publish Settings > Format their should be a Quicktime mov option. I do not have this option on my CS5 Flash version. Also, if I try to export as a mov file, nothing happens. I have QuickTime Player version 7 on my computer. It just will not show up as an option in Flash. How do I convert a swf file to a mov file without going online and purchasing a converter?

I have a .flv video which is too wide, it needs to be 300px wide. I can scale it down in flash, no problem. I need it to start paused (displaying an image of my choosing) then when they mouseover the image, the image fades out to black real quick and the video starts playing. This needs to be exported as an swf file. Sounds easy, but I can't seem to get the action scripts to work. I'm using Adobe Flash CS 5. The video I want to use is here. [URL]
I've created short two and a half minute animation which needs to be converted to a video file.
The animation contains various movie clips and run in conjunction with an overall audio backing track.
It's my understanding that nested movie clips won't work when I export to video due to them having a timeline of their own however having a flash file with everything on the master time line would contain too many layers and frames to be manageable.
Is there any way I can export my file to video (avi, mpeg etc) or do I need to get some third party software, in which case any advice on those?
I am working on a MAC right now and am wondering for a future project how to make a flash file into an mpeg4 file. I'm going to take the mpeg4 file and move it to iDVD to create a file that is compatible with DVD players. I'll also make the menu options there since I think to create DVD menu options in Flash involves a lot of ActionScript and I'm not THAT advanced with AS. I'm also using Flash CS4 for all of this and iDVD 8. I know that there are some video converters out there, but I didn't know if that was the way to go or if there was a pre-built option for that either in Flash or iDVD. I've been looking for one but haven't found it.
So Ive been working with Flash Pro CS5 and it seems I cant get the converting right with image formats into shape symbols. A couple days ago I did convert it correctly but now I cant remember how exactly I did it lol.
What Im trying to do is convert an image into a shape symbol then into a .gls format. When I import the working shape symbol in my SoThink Flash it would show up in the scene but now I cant recreate a working one as it would show up as a blank image.
Ive watched and read through some tutorials but Im confused on which order I should do the steps into converting an image into a symbol.
Btw.. if theres an easier way to convert an image into a .gls format I like to hear it as well
