Imbedding Code In The Fla And In The Html?

Hey everyone. I'm trying to finish up my website made in flash cs3 using actionscript2. At first, when I uploaded my published html and swf to my server, the swf always appeared to the left side of the browser window even though it was set to center and, regardless of the apparent "showall" setting, also appeared to big to fit in the window when I tried to view it on a lower resolution setting. By writing a new html file with the swf embedded into a table, I fixed the centering problem but every attempt at getting it to scale down for lower resolutions fails.I've tried imbedding code in the fla and in the html. Also I have a custom size swf at 1008 X 672. Is this why it's not working?

I've been running into issues with the compression of my flash animations when imbedding them into powerpoint. The .mov files provide sharp playback, but after they are converted to mp4, the resolution drops. I need mp4 files so that the movies are compatible with both Mac and PC versions of powerpoint. I have changed the settings to increase the frames per second, and have the highest qualities selected when converting from .mov to .mp4 without luck.
Is there a better way to convert .fla to .mp4 for PC Powerpoint compatibility?

Following embed code is from [URL] but it doesn't work in Internet Explorer 8. Firefox no problems. Any recommendations for improvements?

UPDATE 2010-05-14: If I'm not mistaken HD.se uses Flowplayer and all those flasvars are for that. Perhaps someone here is good with Flowplayer? I've never used it myself.

I am trying to create a flash text field which is html formatted using the code to link to a text file already containing html formatted text. Both these files have been saved in the same folder on my hard drive.Having created a text field on my stage (on one layer) with an instance name of myText_txt I have entered this into the actionscript (on the layer above):[code]I have tryed moving both files to the desktop but this hasnt worked.

Are there any other swf to HTML converters, I know there is Wallaby and Swiffy from Google, but does anyone know any others, that support ActionScript. I want to convert a swf file to HTML, but the swf has some ActionScript (AS3) code inside it that is used to populate the swf. I want to be able to convert this into HTML and use JavaScript to populate the HTML version.

I am trying to get a regex match on HTML code that is parsed into a text box in flash. I have successfully loaded the HTML code and then began the regex matching, but am stuck on getting the right regex expression to match. The code that I am using in html page builds a tree view list on the html page, so once it's loaded into the flash text box, i am trying to match the html pages to build a list from. The code below is what I am trying to match.
The code I want to match is the first two items in quotes for each entry to build the array list of page names, and their URL. The problem is that the pages won't be named as nice as the example below. Each time it can be a different page name, and page url, so I need to match what is in the first two quotes.

My application should have two variants - with panel and without panel.I want to tell Flash to make my panel visible only if there is "yes" parameter in the HTML code. I am doing it with FlashVars. i am working on a flash currency converter application, for that purpose i am fetching the latest currency rates from yahoo, i am using flash cs5 and as3, i am getting the desired response from yahoo when i run the flash file from Flash cs5 (ctrl+enter) and also after publishing (F12) by opening the html file just created by flash cs5. BUT when i am moving the html and swf file over a web server (WAMP in my case), the response from yahoo is no longer working for me, i have checked it in both localhost, and on remote server. what can be the issue? it seems so strange to me..

Yet the code that Flash gives you is a horrible messy bit of code. Why is 5 lines of code = to Flash's default HTML embedding code. Am i right in thinking theres no disadvantage to use the jQuery version?

Is there a clean and efficient way to import documents in a flash presentation?I have a big number of doc documents to import in a flash presentation and i'm wondering what's the best way to attach them. I've worked passing them to HTML before, but the doc to HTML conversion is messy, ugly and doesn't output valid HTML code, besides, it's a chore to clean the embed CSS style the conversion leaves inside the code. is there a library that allow to use a more portable format? if not, is there a clean way to convert a doc file to valid html code?

What I'm looking for is a fairly basic looking MP3 player, with the usual, Play, Stop, Pause and maybe a loadbar, that will only be playing one track. But the catch is, I want to be able to define the MP3 file to be played via the HTML code.My reasons for this is, the player is for a record label's website and they have audio samples for 3-4 artists a month. And it would make my life a lot easier if I could have one standard player for the site and then just change the HTML code, instead of having to make individual .swfs for each MP3, each month. And having to open the player(s) in Flash and define the file in there.
