I am extremely new to Flash (using CS4) and want to create flash videos for display in web pages. I have used a few of the wizards and have gotten some rough, very amateurish looking results, but at least they work. I owuld now like to create a more professional looking product that has a nice looking player skin, a thumbnail preview that is typically included, and some sort of "Click to Play" button.
I want to be able to record 5-30 sec "green screen" segments on my video camera, extract them from the background, save it as DECENT QUALITY flash that can be embedded in my company website (small motorcycle dealership in Sweden) so that I can reach my customers in a better way. I have seen a website that does this and truly want to learn it. I am willing to buy whatever software is necessary.
I was talking with a friend and we were trying to figure out if it's possible to have people create a bookmark on a streaming video so, if they leave midway they can come back and pick up from where they left off?
If this makes sense and is possible how could you do this? Would it be in the Flash encoding or is it through HTML?
Also, would this be called VideoMarking? I see 2 other posts on here regarding videomarking, sound similar.
The problem: I have to create a Flash video (in CS3) that will query a MySQL database and display that data at certain points in the video. I've divided this project into two parts: a.) dynamically generate an XML feed from the data using PHP (using an ID number passed in the URL's query string), and b.) be able to work with it in Flash. I've got the first part working, but am pretty lost in Flash. I can parse the XML, but I'm not sure how to set the data up as variables and attach it to a video's cue points.
I am creating a video program in Flash CS4 with AS3. I have a main video FLVPlayer and small FLVPlayers at the bottom(click on the small video to view in main video)... simple What I would like to do is, instead of loading the whole movie in each small FLVPlayer, I would like to load the first frame and stop loading (kinda like a first frame screen shot). Is there any way that I can start the loading process and then stop after the first frame is loaded?
I'm trying to create a flash video that will incorporate powerpoint-like slides along with video footage. So for instance I will have slide 1 (graphic) - slide 2 (video clip) - slide 3 (text). I have used CS4 before for one of my classes but that was a little while ago, and I feel like I'm starting over again. When I import the first graphic (.png), is there an option to have it resize to fit the stage?
Internet Explorer will not display flash video in stand alone video players, similar to the one at: [URL] The other embedded flash content is viewable. In the IE8 tools, manage add on's, Adobe Flash Player is not listed.I've also noticed that when I access the Adobe Flash Settings manager, I can not uncheck "hardware acceleration".Windows XP Home Service Pack 2 is the operating system.
I am currently working on a flash website that has several flv videos on it. Since the website layout has a slight tilt, I have had to transform the videos to slightly tilt as well. The problem that I am having is that when I do this the image becomes very pixelated and the edges of the video become jagged. I have somewhat fixed the edges issue by making a mask around it but i really dont know how to make the resolution better, or what causes it to loose resolution when slightly transformed. The size of the videos is the same as encoded. All I do is tilt them upwards on the right side a bit.
I'm porting in an .flv to Flash for the first time. I created the .flv from an .MP4 using Media Encoder CS5, and then opened a new Actionscript 3 .fla in Flash Professional CS5, clicked File > Import > Import Video. Then selected 'Load external video with playback component'. Everything seems to have imported fine, but when I publish the SWF and import it via Dreamweaver CS5 and preview the page, the video is there, but the controls are not. There's just a white box where the controls should be. Also, the video is out of sync with the audio, which I believe is a problem with Media Encoder, not Flash.
Here are some links:
The page that I'm working on (video at the bottom of the page)
I'm currently working on a website design. The idea is a big chromakeyed interactive video in Flash. The size of the video is 1080 (width) x 1500 (height) pixels.I've exported the video in After Effects with the standard settings for flash (File>Export>Adobe Flash Player(SWF)). Now when I import the video in Flash and preview the file, the video plays in a slower speed and it's not playing smooth at all...Is the video too big? Is there a maximum video-size to keep the video running correct in Flash? Is it something else that causes this problem..?
With the Flash Player that comes with CS3 and on my PC XP Pro laptop.I want the player controls to appear at the _bottom_ of the video not on top of the video and not under (behind) the video.
- my video is 640 x 480 - so I modified the "properties" tab at the bottom of the screen to 640x480... (it was 550x400) - but that just makes everything larger when I click File > Publish - and then look at the video in Internet Explorer... the Player Controls are still _On Top_ of the video.
I guess I need to learn how to
- Make the stage bigger - Position the Player controls below the actual video
I want to replay a flash video by clicking on a "replay" button. I know how to creat the buttons. I can't figure out how to create the action script.I know how to create the Action Script to replay flash, but when I have a flash video that I want to replay that's when I run into trouble.
I'm just moving from programming in Flash to Flex.
I want to create a simple gallery which is loaded with locally stored FLV short clips. I know how to create a text/image gallery, but I wasn't able to put the VideoDisplay component in the List control.
The final result should be a gallery with videos playing while the cursor is on top of them.
We would like to start creating RIA using Flash, focusing more-so on the side of enterprise level web applications rather than simple Flash animations. I need to start getting my design/development group here up to speed on Flash, but cannot make heads or tails of the software to focus on from Adobe. Flash Professional CS5, Flash Catalyst CS5 or Flash Builder 4?
flash cs4 launches fine but crashes when starting a new action script 3 doc. (quits unexpectedly) it seems to work fine when i log on as a guest user but not as myself (admin). MACPRO desktop OS10.6.2 what can i try to aleavate this problem.
How can I create a component using Flash CS5? I have tried to follow various documents I have found on google and went about it in the following way:
1. I created an empty FLA. 2. I created a MovieClip containing some graphics, and named the MovieClip "MyTestComponent" in the Library. 3. I selected the MovieClip's properties in the Library and selected "Export for Actionscript", and made the MovieClip inherit from fl.core.UIComponent. 4. I saved the FLA in the directory "C:Program Files (x86)AdobeAdobe Flash CS5CommonConfigurationComponents" and restarted Flash. At this point I would expect that the MyTestComponent component would show up in the Components panel, but it did not. 5. I tried to publish the FLA as an SWC file and place the SWC file in the same file as above. According to my understanding, both this and the step above should have worked, but it did not.
on picture 1 I'll start with a blank white box that slides to the right revealing a sketch of a picture and on picture 2 the whole picture is revealed. Then on 3, the line goes back to the left starting to reveal the real picture.I had no problems doing the 1 and 2nd step in flash but dont know how I do the 3rd, how do I make the sketch picture dissapear after the line has gone over it???
I am designing my first simple website with Adobe Flash, and I have run into a problem. When I do publish preview, I notice that no scrollbar appears in the browser; therefore, only part of my content is shown. How can I create a scrollbar in Flash so that when someone views my webpage they will be able to scroll down and view all of the content on the page?
I'd like the slideshow to have a black boarder box with a white background. I've got two buttons which I have made in Photoshop for previous and next image. I want the background of the slideshow to be white and images to be placed into this box for the user to be able to manually go through the images.
which doesn't work! I just put this in on assuming that flash would pick up the pdf on my desktop but it cannot open the pdf when you click on the link.
Is there a template out there for a flash gallery to display other swf files? Like an image gallery, but instead of images, they are swf files (some could be interactive as well.
I am having an issue with a freshly installed copy of Flash CS4 Upon trying to create a new fla file or opening an fla file flash crashes. I have checked for corrupt fonts and even removed all non system fonts yet it still happens.Below is my crash report. I have emailed Adobe but was hoping that someone here may have a solution for this problem.I am running Windows 7 64 bit.[code]
I'm creating a standalone flash application. Now, I have a user interface with a menu, and I have to launch a new stage in fullscreen mode with at the center an 800x600 swf.How can I create the fullscreen?
Which product do I need in order to create a customized flash player (and that is all I need to do)? I have a VP6 Alpha Channel.flv movie (transparent background). I would like to create a custom flash player for my website to display and control this movie. The player needs the following properties:
1. Play the movie transparently (using "wmode"?) 2. Play, pause, volume and exit buttons on the control bar 3. Autohide control bar 4. Logo / text on the control bar 5. Ability to unload itself after the movie ends
Which is the right product for me? Any links on how to create this player would be useful.
1. I would like to put audio behind my flash pages. I have 5 pages (navigation with arrow buttons). Is there code available for where the user can click an on/off audio button? Does it have to be in a certain audio format?
2. Is it possible to create quizzes in flash i.e. are there templates somewhere?
I'm bringing in production art into Flash, and it's shifting getting lighter. I've read all about the issue, how it's photoshop's color profiles, etc. Problem is, converting the images to working RGB isn't helping. I've tried converting them (originally they were in Adobe 1998 RGB) , creating a new document with the correct profile, but nothing works. I'm saving them out as PNG files. They look great in a browser even. Just washed out in Flash. Anything else I can try?
