Professional :: How To Play FLV (or Convert To SWF) For Web

I own Flash CS3, but am currently using a trial for CS5.
1. Created the slide show with all the transitions, animations, etc. in Powerpoint 2010.
2. Exported to .wmv (using powerpoint)
3. Converted to FLV with Adobe Media Encoder (CS5).
The FLV plays great on my system (stand-alone), but I don't know how to make it play on my website. If there is a way to get it to play on a website, can I also remove the control bar. It's not interactive. I want it to autoplay, loop and continue where it was, when people go to another page on the site. This works with swf files that I've worked with in the past, but I used other software that I purchased to convert photos or animations to swf. That technology hasn't stayed current with newer software versions, so I've trying to use Flash for this, but I'm now lost. Any way to convert to an SWF, as I think it would be easier to work with.

Trying to write a function that will play a sound through a small FX (sound) class I made. The sound that I want played is passed in through a variable. I don't want to write a different function for every sound, so I've named the sound linkage class the same name as the name of another object in an array. However, it looks like I'm trying to pass the name of something off as an object, which won't work and I'm getting this error:
TypeError: Error #1007: Instantiation attempted on a non-constructor.
Can I convert a 'name' into an object (of the same name)?

So we were going to make a website allowing users to upload video. The website is going to be in PHP/MySQL. Are there any converters out there available for PHP to convert a video from a given format to flash to display on the web page to play?
Basically we would have a file on the server in say .avi format, or quicktime format. How do I grab it from the server, convert it to flash and display it on the php page to play?
Also, does can I use the video capabilities of HTML5 with PHP to make any of this easier?

I play games on Pogo and have never had a problem with their Flash Games until released Daily Hot Shots. It doesn't load fully and I've done EVERYTHING I know to do to get it to play. No errors show up. I can play ALL the other flash games but this one. When I right click, the name of the site's owners do not show up....I have the settings showing though Not all of the game loads and that's the problem. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling....tried a different browser and have the same exact problem. THIS GAME WILL NOT PLAY.

So i've made my .swf files. The only thing is they all play at full screen when i play them using my web browser. I need them to play at 548 x 408. when i open the .fla and go to properties it says the size IS at 548 x 410 but it can't be if its playing full screen.

I am working on a project where we want to parameterize certain variables of a flash file. The idea is: we create a script which replaces the parameters in the .fla file. The question is: How can I convert that file to a .swf using a script or batch file.
(I know how to do it with CS4 Flash etc., but I do not want to open it at all, the entire process should be executed programatically).
I have found many software to convert swf to fla, but not the other way around.

I have several FLV's that play fine in the old player using HTTP progressive download. I've recently created a new player that uses the Flash Media server to stream the files via RTMP.
Everything works great... mostly. I had to tweak my MP4 conversion settings several times before I got an MP4 that would play through the player on all formats and browsers. So that now works great.
But only about half of my old FLV's work. The other half just hangs, like nothing is happening. I've tried converting those FLVs to MP4s, F4V, even AVI and MOV's... but everytime the old FLV's lose their audio track. One video will play the first 3 seconds of the audio, but none of the others have their audio.
why would some FLV's work, but not others? And also, why can't I get the FLV's to convert to MP4s with their audio in tact?

I have a .PSD file that is a significant part of the website I am working on and I can only edit it properly with Adobe Flash Professional CS5 (out of the programs I have, GIMP doesn't work how I need it to). The problem is, I can easily open a .PSD file with Adobe Flash CS5 but I cannot SAVE it as a .PSD, it only allows me to save it as a .fla or something else that is an uncompressed .fla but I forget it's name. Neither of these work for what I need so how can I SAVE it as a .PSD or CONVERT it into a .PSD?

Any software to convert .mov and mp4 videos to flash? I have adobe video encoder cs4 which people swear by from articles I read, however I do not see where I can add a player nor add a thumbnail for the first frame. I need something that will produce high quality videos and give me the option to select the thumbnail shot and player selection while not being overly expensive.

I am in the process of building a membership website to sell streaming video. After paying people would have access to a video gallery of 70 or more videos. On the home page there would be a free preview. The videos were created in iMovie on a Mac.My question is should I convert this to flash? The reason to convert would be to make the website more accessible to most users on Mac and Pc.But. I don't want to lose quality in the conversion.
And. Would I be turning away customers by leaving it in Quicktime format? Although they would have to leave the site, essentially people could simply download the free Quicktime player for Windows right? With Quicktime Player can individuals watch the video in Full screen?

I have an swf document and for a while now need to convert it to an html5. I talked to a dreamweaver specialist and he suggested wallaby. I tried this but i didnt have it in an FLA. I tried converting it using trial software dont know if it worked. When i put it in their was errors with multiple things, it didnt like the actionscript3. I have some PNG files with alpha numbered 'image0001.png' up to 100 frames. I want to import this as an animation (movie?) into Flash CS4. The docs for Adobe Media Encoder suggest there should be an "export stills as movie" option under Settings but I can't find it. What would be the best way to bring in these .png files into Flash?

I've read lately that you can't use Flash on iPad and iPhone . On our website I'm using some Flash animations. As I understand it doesn't display on iPad and iPhone.HTML 5 does display. What's the best approach?Should I convert Flash to HTML 5? And how can I do that? Or are there other (even better) ways to make this work?
