I had an old version of air which loaded an swf that runs an as2 swf using as3 The as2 swf included keypressing and regular as2 stuff. I just installed the new version of air and exported the AIR file again Keypresses don't seem to workhow to fix this?I thought about exporting to an older version of air but I have no idea how since the only option I have in CS5 is 2.0
View 1 RepliesI do a lot of multimedia presentations for events/awards/summits using flash where I have to assign numbers/letters to call certain screens (eg. a speaker screen) at any time, and I understand Adobe have disabled the keypress functions entirely when publishing out of CS5.
Is it at all possible to bypass this and allow the key presses to be enabled? Or is this pretty much a like it or lump it it doesnt work anymore issue.
The only work around I have been able to work out is to save down to CS4 and publish from that, which kind of seems a bit silly and backwards.
Just run into an odd little problem. My project allows for the user to press numbers on the keyboard to call specific functions accordingly.It all works fine, until the user goes into "fullscreen" mode. When they are in fullscreen mode, keypress actions no longer seem to work at all. Have I missed something out with an EvenListeners? Or have I overlooked something entirely?Here's a sample of how the keyboardEvent is being used:

View 3 RepliesFlash freezes when in fullscreen, youtube or any other site. Disabling hardware acceleration works but significantly lowers the playback quality. I'm running XP SP3 and WIndows 7, same problem with both OSs, in IE, Firefox, Opera, and Google chrome, so it's definitly the adobe flash player that's causing the problem. Tried unninstaling adobe flash player and adobe activeX completely, than downloaded latest versions and installed them. Then I tried unninstaling them, unninstalling all the browsers, restarting, then installing the browsers and then the latest flash player.

View 1 Replies10.1 Does not work with SisM760gx chipset. I know its an old chipset for this notebook. I cant get fullscreen when watching youtube movies or something else.. The pixels stays dead and with strange colours. I know I can uncheck the use hardware acceleration , but the quality of the video get a lot worser, so i dont think this is a solution. I reinstalled the flash 9 and i got the problem "solved".. Is there plans from adobe to work on this issue for older platforms?

Is there anyway to have a projector ALWAYS fullscreen, and use an flvplayback component with fullscreen button at the same time? It seems that they're somehow incompatible. If I have multiple instances of an flvplayback component on different scenes, when the projector is fullscreen, jumping to a scene with an flvplayback on it, leads to having a black screen only!

First of all, will I be able to play a fullscreen video in high quality ? 1366 x 768 ? Which video format do I need ? FLV seem to be pretty poor quality ?
I'm creating a flash website in AS3 where the user can click a fullscreenbutton which works fine. Im not using the hardware mode because of the black borders it creates and I dont want that. The site is liquid in a sense it conforms to the browsers' size using Event.RESIZE.

I'm using TweenLite to make transitions between pages and it works fine
UNTIL
I release fullscreen mode (escape) and go back to the browser. From then on all my transitions are extremely choppy (like 1 - 2 fps) and I can't figure out why. I had video on the pages but even when I completely removed the video from the pages the transitions are still choppy. When I go back to fullscreen the transitions are smooth again.

I'm working on a stand alone application that need to streach across 3 monitors verticaly but without the windows border, title bar, or the toolbar.I'm working in CS5 and can't find any settings when publishing out to the exe and if you try to fullscreen it, it will lock to only one monitor.

Now I need to create some dynamic pages (php+mysql) but I cannot do them in Fles+php (I have no time to learn it). I just created some getUrl links that open in _blank targets but this is causing some problems: - in some browsers (firefox and safari) the link opens BELOW the movie, so, you don't see it until you close the flash website. - in other browsers when you click the link, the fullscreen mode will revert by itself to normal screen and the link opens in a new tab (chrome and IE 8) Is there a way to open links in front of the fullscreen mode?
In the past I created a flash website [URL] that, once you set it to fullscreen mode, allows you to see images on pop-ups (lightbox) in front of the fullscreen. I would like to do the same with php page, and not only jpg/gif/png images.
I'm trying to watch a flash video in fullscreen mode on a second monitor but whenever I click anything that causes the flash video to lose focus the video minimizes and goes to it's normal size. Is there a fix for this? or at least a way to zoom in on the video so its nearly fullscreen? neither IE8 or firefox 3's zoom functions will zoom in on flash.

View 6 RepliesI've used a standard skin on an FLVplayback component which loads and plays perfectly. The problem arises when I enter fullscreen mode and then leave it again. Once I've done this, the video remains on the stage irrespective of what frame I'm on. I can even change scenes and the video remains in the middle. I haven't even added the video using actionscript so I don't really understand how it could possibly stay on more than the frame its inserted in!? At the moment I've used no ActionScript to control the video. I apologise if I'm missing something, this is the first time I've dealt with videos.

However, I�d like there to be a Fullscreen button on the playback component, which will allow the user to toggle the video fullscreen.I cant, for the life of me, figure out how to do this with various settings�it should be easy! I've built a presentation that requires the need to open pdf files in Acrobat Reader... as I have been building this on a Mac I simply used the geturl code which has been working a treat... today when I tested it on a PC it opened the file in a browser window!
I'm not really a coder and have to rely on finding bits online that I can tweak... after many hours I have fixed the pdf opening problem by using the fscommand method, but unfortunately when the pdf file is closed, my presentation (that was running fullscreen) has minimised itself to a window 100% to the original stage size!
I am producing a fullscreen projector (.exe) file and have some large videos that cause the background to go black when they come on the stage. When I test the movie (not in fullscreen), it works just fine.

View 1 RepliesI have an SWF file with a full-screen button working perfectly. I have added an FLVPlayback component, working correctly.
However, if the whole stage is in "Full Screen" mode, and I click on the button which loads the FLVPlayback component, the screen becomes black and the FLV doesn't even load.
I have tried addind the action movieHolder.fullScreenTakeOver = false; but it did not help.

We are using default CS5 skins with an flvplayback component built through action script 3. When playing certain videos (and only certain videos, however there isn't yet a pattern), the play/pause, stop & seek buttons are completely unresponsive. They don't change stats on hover & they are unclickable.However, the fullscreen button does always work, and upon going fullscreen and coming back out, the buttons now work again. So far, the problem was seemingly at its worst displaying a video that was encoded with Sorenson spark (an older codec) and we wondered if it had to do with the file itself, the headers, anything of that sort. But the fact that the skin and buttons work fine once entering and exiting fullscreen - that is perplexing.

View 3 RepliesWhat I've done is created a "fullscreen SWF" by using ActionScript to stretch a movie clip (yellow rectangle) in the background to fill the whole browser frame. The navigation is positioned in the upper left using ActionScript also; when the user resizes the window, positions are adjusted so the nav always stays in the upper left. (Adapting the technique from http:[url]....
External SWFs are loaded from an XML file into a blank movie clip on a layer that is between the yellow background and the navigation (adapting the kirupa XML Photo Gallery). Here's my problem: I want to be able to create full screen backgrounds for these external SWFs so when they are loaded into the main SWF they cover up all the of yellow background of the main clip. Also if the user resizes the window, I hope like the main SWF, the background on the external SWF can also resize to match.
If you press next twice to get to item three for example, I want to be able to stretch that orange box to fill the entire background. You'll notice if you resize the window on the third item, the orangle rectangle will adjust, it's just not correct.
I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I'm having.
I currently have an AIR Application that runs fullscreen.
At some point in the application, I am trying to get a video to play fullscreen as well.
