I am producing a fullscreen projector (.exe) file and have some large videos that cause the background to go black when they come on the stage. When I test the movie (not in fullscreen), it works just fine.

I'm creating a fullscreen projector that has an FLV file on the stage. I successfully got the FLV to appear non full screen by using the answers for the following question:
Non-fullscreen FLVPlayback
However, the background still goes black just before the FLV comes to the stage.
It runs fine when the projector is not set to fullscreen - background is there along with my close button.
I've built a presentation that requires the need to open pdf files in Acrobat Reader... as I have been building this on a Mac I simply used the geturl code which has been working a treat... today when I tested it on a PC it opened the file in a browser window!
I'm not really a coder and have to rely on finding bits online that I can tweak... after many hours I have fixed the pdf opening problem by using the fscommand method, but unfortunately when the pdf file is closed, my presentation (that was running fullscreen) has minimised itself to a window 100% to the original stage size!

I have a flash intro and when ever I preview it,the intro background turns to black instead of staying the way it should be.Can somebody please help me out here,I need this flash intro for a website.Please explain this to me in simple terms because im pretty NEW to adobe.
Note I've tried everything to make the flash background stay the way it was but nothing I do works.
I need a few minor changes done to my site such as changing the text on the About page and also changing it so that when you view a picture in any of the galleriess the background is completely black, right now it just fades out the text and thumbnails and is not entirely black.
I have never used Flash before but am pretty good with Photoshop, Illustrator and a little bit of Dreamweaver. Would these changes be difficult for someone who has never used Flash but can pick things up fairly quickly? I have all the files for my website, any suggestions where I should look first to make the changes I require.
I have created a flash application that runs crisp and smooth normally. However, when I set it to fullscreen using

Then it runs slow as heck. My cpu usage shoots up to the 90%'s on all four cores. Strange thing is, however, that if I manually resize the projector chrome to take up the full screen size it runs smooth and crisp. It's not playing any videos or sounds, and there are minimal images. The swf file itself is 7 megs, and that's almost entirely because I have to embed the chinese alphabet. Could it be from running dual monitors? It still only "fullscreens" to one monitor's size, so I don't think its's twice the size without me noticing... I'm really not sure what's causing it, but it gets super slow...

.fla is only 448kB, but the swf is 7megs.
Again, it runs fine when not in fullscreen, no matter how large I make the window, but if you play the swf file in flash player (i.e. not in browser) it will run slow until you press esc and exit fullscreen mode.
I'm creating a site and am trying to achieve a full screen video background like this: [URL]. The idea is that it adapts to any screen resolution/size (is this called ScaleMode?) Which is the easiest way to get this effect - is there some sort of code or application to make it easier? Also, which video size should I pick so it shows correctly in all resolutions?

View 10 RepliesI would like to have flash www page with dimentions 960x653 pixels. There will be 5 scenes navigated by buttons and each of the scene will have different background color. I would like to have fullscreen background also (filling the rest of the space), and to make it I used "Auto-Resizing and Centering Content", based on tutorial:

To make it working with my existing animation I made 960x653 UILoader instead the centerRectangle, and I loaded my swf animation there. Fullscreen background is working - when I scale window of the viewer the main scene keeps its dimentions and background fills the rest of the space, what is what I wanted to. My included animation is working perfectly.
But I still have one issue to solve. How to change my fullscreen background while switching scenes? Is it possible to change it from included swf animation?
I got a flash file from my friend he uses Macromedia Flash 8, I use CS5.5 (Flash 11.5). When I open the file I get a blank project that looks like something should be there. Does anybody know how I can fix this. I ask my friend and he can't send anything else other than this cause this is all he has and know of the issue but don't know how to address it.
View 3 RepliesI have a project which consists of a menu, which is put into fullscreen using "stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;" on the first frame.The menu navigates to three seperately loaded swf's which match the fullscreen resolution. However, when the swf's are loaded the screen is black while in fullscreen. They can only be seen when I hit esc to take it out of fullscreen. Put it back into fullscreen and the screen returns to black. (The code does not break or throw an error, everything works fine outside of fullscreen). None of these problems occur in Flash Pro, only after I have exported them and tested them out on a different computer. I don't have a lot of code in the menu sections, and each swf tested individually works fine, fullscreen or not.
Anyone have any idea of anything I might try? I've been lost on this for a few days now, and it's the only thing keeping me from completion.

i'm trying to create a slideshow with AS3. The Problem is that if you click the fullscreen button very quickly after opening the page, it goes fullscreen but the display stays black!As you can see, i add the current Image to the mcSlideHolder just when the onFirstSlideLoaded-event occurs ... so if you click the fullscreen button before it has finished loading the image it will/should add it after the image is loaded ... so the image MUST be loaded then ... but why does the screen stay black???

im using Flash CS4 slide presentation to make a education CD. In the end of the slides i want to open a pdf file.How can i do it? Is it a east way to do it? I publish the project as a projector file. I tested to use GetURL but the file wont open. I have the pdf-filein the same folder as the projector exe-file.

My question is: Is there a way to create a projector that always stays on top (e.g. even if a windows update occurs) without purchasing SWF Studio? As I understand TOPMOST is only for launched applications, not for the application itself.

I have created a cd-rom in flash which autoruns and opens up as a fullscreen projector. The cd launches various powerpoint files from without the movie, however, once i close the powerpoint file, the projector is no longer fullscreen.
Is there any way I can keep the flash movie running fullscreen behind the powerpoint files, so when i close them, the flash movie is the same.

I have a swf that plays in the browser and I would like to give the user an option to open the swf into a stand alone player. The best way I see to do this is to export the swf as a projector file but I can't figure out how to pass any params (flashvars) to the exe file.

I have a Flash presentation I want to autorun in full screen mode. I set this using StageScaleMode.FULL_SCREEN, and it works fine if I run the swf file. However, the exe file opens a blank full screen, and only when I exit with ESC does it show the actual movie in a regular window.

I got it outsourced as i dont know my flash but the guy sent it to me like this.[code]however, the logo was then black in the background. which was really annoying, cause i'd asked for a transparent background and now i had a black one which didnt match the gradient of the header of the page.so i went back to the logo designer and i asked, he didnt know how to make the background transparent with this new code i've used. So, i asked him to make a new one with the gradient in the background. he did, and there are still black bits to the side of the logo..so i thought best to come to a knowledgeable place and ask - how do i set the background for this embedded swf as transparent?URL...
View 3 RepliesI could succesfully open a external pdf with the following command in Flash cs3 on a Mac: fscommand("exec", "test.app");test.app (inside an fscommand folder) is an apple script that opens the pdf inside the fscommand folder, to make it work I needed to copy the fscommand folder into the MacOs Folder of the Mac Projector File. The same steps don't seem to work with Flash cs5. I can't downgrade my cs5 project to cs3.Is this problem a bug in Flash cs5?

The movie does have an embeded flv player, but it has an interface around that that is 830px wide by about 500 tall and that needs to be shown at its original size, but fullscreen. I need to have a fullscreen AS3 projector to open a video within the presentation to fullscreen and then back to its original size. The video is inside another movie clip and doesn't use the FLVPlayer component. There is also a custom video controller that needs to be positioned under the video when viewed fullscreen and then return under the original video. I have had some success opening the fullscreen video but could not position the video or controller position accurately.
