Professional :: Background Fades Out The Text And Thumbnails And Is Not Entirely Black?
Jul 15, 2011
I need a few minor changes done to my site such as changing the text on the About page and also changing it so that when you view a picture in any of the galleriess the background is completely black, right now it just fades out the text and thumbnails and is not entirely black.
I have never used Flash before but am pretty good with Photoshop, Illustrator and a little bit of Dreamweaver. Would these changes be difficult for someone who has never used Flash but can pick things up fairly quickly? I have all the files for my website, any suggestions where I should look first to make the changes I require.
I have a flash intro and when ever I preview it,the intro background turns to black instead of staying the way it should be.Can somebody please help me out here,I need this flash intro for a website. Please explain this to me in simple terms because im pretty NEW to adobe.
Note I've tried everything to make the flash background stay the way it was but nothing I do works.
I am loading in text from an XML file, and it loads in fine but I am getting a black box behind each of my letters in my text field. I tried to cancel it out by write the background = false; but it is not working. Does anyone know why this is happening? I have loaded in hundreds of .txt files and this has never happened, but this is my first time loading in XML txt, so I am not sure what to do?
I am producing a fullscreen projector (.exe) file and have some large videos that cause the background to go black when they come on the stage. When I test the movie (not in fullscreen), it works just fine.
I'm doing some pretty simpe text fades in flash by changing the alpha from 100% to 0% for a piece of text. This works fine in the SWF export, but when I export to AVI the text corrupts (shifts, expands and looks interlaced) during the fade portion.I've tried doing this with a brightness shift, and even ticking he "cache as bitmap".I tried exporting as 32bit movie with alpha. That stops the corruption, but now there's a flicker juse before the fade that's not there in the SWF!
I am trying to create a flash animation in which a text title fades in to the screen. I created the text, converted it to a symbol, then tried to create a motion tween in which I could tweak the alpha values of the text object. However when I try to create the keyframe, the popup that comes up has the Color option greyed out (which is where I believe the alpha setting lives).
Im creating a microsite, in which the background colour changes depending on which section you are in! I want it so that when i go on one section the current background fades out as the new on faids in!Ive got the fades in's sorted, however is there some sort of script that i can put in that tells the current background to faid out??Also say im in the red section and then want to load a diffrent aspect of the red section! I dont want it to re-load the Red background! Is there some way of achieving that?? My first throught was to use some sort of IF statment, however im not exactly sure how i do this?
I am making a web page with about 13 buttons. some are dropdown menu Items.I would like to have a background linked to each of the buttons, such that when I click on a new button the background fades into the new background.
example: I am at my home pag, and the background picture is a tree. you click on my about button, and the background fades into a picture of a book. you click on my contact button and the picture fades to a house. then you click back on the home button and the tree fades back in. If you are at home and you click on the home button the picture should fade into the same picture etc.how to do this without creating each one of the fade transitions manually.
I have imported an object "DD_dropdown_clip" from the stage with this code:
[Code]...
The object is a black field. The fn "setup" writes text on this field. The problem with the code commented out is that it changes the alpha of both the black field and the text, whereas I simply want to change the alpha of the black field. How can I do this? Can I do it in the IDE?
I created a custom component that is a s:SkinnableContainer. I want the background and other items to fade out when this component is visible. Something similar to what happens when calling Alert.show(..) so the Alert box is in focus and everything else is faded out.
I am trying to fade TEXT from black color to lets say red...Well, when I try to break the text apart and make it Shape Tween - it breaks the text, mean some part of the original text disappear...When I try to Motion Tween, nothing happens... Same for classic tween :<
I have two separate video widgets running on the same test page [URL] and when an input textfield from one of the widgets receives focus or is typed into, the other widget goes black.
i embedded a swf into a page recently. I got it outsourced as i dont know my flash but the guy sent it to me like this.[code]however, the logo was then black in the background. which was really annoying, cause i'd asked for a transparent background and now i had a black one which didnt match the gradient of the header of the page.so i went back to the logo designer and i asked, he didnt know how to make the background transparent with this new code i've used. So, i asked him to make a new one with the gradient in the background. he did, and there are still black bits to the side of the logo..so i thought best to come to a knowledgeable place and ask - how do i set the background for this embedded swf as transparent?URL...
I've imported a flv video file into my movie but it always has a black border no matter what changes we make to the export dimensions of file from Adobe Premier.
I really need the flv to be seamless on a white background.
I am trying to make a flash movie in flash cs4. All goes well but whenever I return to the scene and then double click on a movie clip or double click on a movie clip in the library I can get to the desired clip but the workspace all turns black and I cannot see the edge of my document /artboard.Sorry if this a silly overlook on my part but I'm stuck and cannot get the proper view back.
What I am trying to achieve might be trivial, however I am loading a PNG mask which does not have a transparent background, but rather a black background, with the shape defined on top in white (the actual mask which needs to be applied). Apparently Flex expects me to provide a mask with a transparent background for it to work, or am I missing something?
If that's the case, could I transform the bitmapData which I am loading so that it treats black color as transparent?
I'm creating a fullscreen projector that has an FLV file on the stage. I successfully got the FLV to appear non full screen by using the answers for the following question:
Non-fullscreen FLVPlayback
However, the background still goes black just before the FLV comes to the stage.
It runs fine when the projector is not set to fullscreen - background is there along with my close button.
i have and opening sequence to an HTML site, that has two sides to it. basically you have two boxes that are buttons when you click on one of the boxs they load a flash sequence that goes into one or the other side of the site, but i need one side to have a black background and the other to have a white bg. I have looked into flash sending a variable to the HTML but have no real clue as to the correct syntax.[code]
Im trying to make a 10 minute countdown with white numbers and black background. just need minutes, seconds and milliseconds. sending a fla file or in telling me the easiest way to do this. I dont need a start button or anything else, just the countdown and when time is over just the numbers as 00:00:000
I am displaying a series of Flash animations in a WebView. The screen goes black each time I load a new animation—this is visually distracting and I would like it to leave the screen white. I have tried changing the WebView background color, embedding the Flash animation in HTML and specifying the background color, and making the WebView "Invisible" until the page has finished loading but nothing seems to have the desired effect. The Flash animation does not display the black background when run on a PC.
I load this clip: import mx.transitions.Tween; import mx.transitions.easing.*; var myGalleryXML = new XML(); myGalleryXML.ignoreWhite = true; myGalleryXML.load("gallery.xml"); [Code] .....
In the last frame of my time line I add: removeMovieClip("container_mc" ); The movie disappears but the placement turns black. I added: this._alpha = 0; But the other clips of the main movie doesn't load.
This is my first post here and it my be a hard one to understand? Overview I have four buttons on the main stage (info) (help) (bio) (main) When you Rollover a button it fades to another color/when you rollout it fades back to the original color I have a script that does the color change because I do not want to use motion tweens. Here is what I did I made a 2 frame MC named infoMC In the 1st frame of the MC I made the word (info) a nested MC and attached the color change code to it. The 2nd frame of the MC Is the same as the 1st frame but I revesed the color change
I have assembled a preloader using the method from this site, everything seem to work except for one problem My site supposed to start from a black background and the image fading in. However once I placed the preloader the image dose not fade in but appears right away to the full strength after the preloader gone to 100% Looks like it jumps to a few frames after the first frame of the main swf file. Please take a look at [URL] If you reload again you will see how the image fade in.
I have the following script on a movie clip which fades the clip in when your mouse is over the MC and fades it out when your mouse moves off. It works fine, but it "flickers" when its faded in all the way. How can I stop that?
Client wants the audio from splash page to fade out in bg when user clicks enter button and leaves page and enters next html page? How to do this? WIth AS? Javascript? Does this file need to be embeded on both html pages?
I have a flash animation, simple, it basically fades between several static images in the timeline. I want that sequence in a video I'm working on, so I output the Flash (CS4) to video. I import that video into my Final Cut (6.0.6) sequence, but when it plays. All the fades are gone, and the images simply cut dryly from one to the next. How can I output this Flash to give me the effects I am programming in there into the video?
I'm in the middle of building a simple flash slideshow, using alpha fades between images. I have three layers, the first one being text, on the timeline for each layer/image. The other two layers are images, small footprint (sized and optimized in photoshop, each less than 100k). When I hit the Enter key it will play on timeline but the preview and fla file just won't start, hung up on the first frame. Flash 5 Pro 11.0.2.489 iMac 3.2 Intel i3 10.6.6, 8GB Ram
I am working on creating an interactive map. When a button is clicked a circle graphic fades in. When the same button is clicked I want the graphic to fade out the same way. I can only figure out how to make the graphic instantly disappear instead of fading out. I am following a tutorial and changing it to my needs. The tutorial can be seen here: [URL] The steps for the animation start at step 8. Here is the code I am using:
[Code]...
I am using Flash CS3 and Action Script 2.0. I would also like to have the circle graphic have a small photo pop up by it when the mouse hovers over it. What do I need to look into to make something like this happen? I haven't been able to find anything similar to doing this.
I've read through several tutorials but I must be doing something wrong on this. I'm using Adobe Flash Pro CS4. I am trying to create a short clip that fades text in over a bacground video. When I create a motion tween on the text track, I'm generating an error and the background video is no longer visible in the preview. Instead, I see the text over the stage background color. It is as if the background video track has switched to wireframe. Here are the steps I've followed:
1. Created Flash File (ActionScript 3.0).
2. Imported Video into the State background layer - it appears as a black image in the it previews fine at that point
3. Created new layer for text and placed text - it previews fine at this point, text is overlaying video
4. I right click on the text block and choose convert to symbol.
5. Next with the play head on the first frame and the Text layer selected I choose Create Motion Tween. This is when AFP throws this error:TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at fl.video::UIManager/http://www.adobe.com/2007/flash/flvplayback/internal::hookUpCustomComp onents() at [code]...
