In the last frame of my time line I add:
removeMovieClip("container_mc" );
The movie disappears but the placement turns black.
I added:
this._alpha = 0;
But the other clips of the main movie doesn't load.
I have a flash intro and when ever I preview it,the intro background turns to black instead of staying the way it should be.Can somebody please help me out here,I need this flash intro for a website.Please explain this to me in simple terms because im pretty NEW to adobe.
Note I've tried everything to make the flash background stay the way it was but nothing I do works.
I'm using a playback control that is giving me problems. The only thing that I'm using is a play/pause buttons and the time scrubber. I found this code on a website. Now, when I preview the swf, it plays fine, but when the video starts playing, the screen turns black and flash quits automatically.
This is the Error that I'm getting:

The problem which I am facing is that I have a video clip which has a black background. Now the website which I am working on has images in it. When i load this video clip externally by the action loadMovie("fire.swf", 2); the black background of the video clip also starts showing. I want this video clip to be transparent "without the black background".I have googled it, but all explains the "transparent Flash overlay", which is done with the HTML tags i.e <param NAME="wmode" VALUE="transparent">.

I got it outsourced as i dont know my flash but the guy sent it to me like this.[code]however, the logo was then black in the background. which was really annoying, cause i'd asked for a transparent background and now i had a black one which didnt match the gradient of the header of the page.so i went back to the logo designer and i asked, he didnt know how to make the background transparent with this new code i've used. I have seen numerous threads talking about Adobe Media Encoder producing black bars when converting videos. Some are saying it's a bug w/ CS4, others are saying its something to do w/ non-square pixels.My dilema is, I have some .mov files created in Final Cut Pro with a 4:3 aspect in NTSC. I need to convert them to .flv so I can stream them on a website. My current settings are:
FLV - Web Large, PAL Source (I'm using PAL because it seemed to create a better quality video when I was streaming)

When I export the files and try to play them in a web flash player (480x400) I get black bars on the top and bottom. I don't really have a lot of experience doing video editing so I'm shooting in the dark here.I have adjusted a lot of the pre-mentioned settings but still no luck.
I am trying to make a flash movie in flash cs4. All goes well but whenever I return to the scene and then double click on a movie clip or double click on a movie clip in the library I can get to the desired clip but the workspace all turns black and I cannot see the edge of my document /artboard.Sorry if this a silly overlook on my part but I'm stuck and cannot get the proper view back.
View 5 RepliesWhat I am trying to achieve might be trivial, however I am loading a PNG mask which does not have a transparent background, but rather a black background, with the shape defined on top in white (the actual mask which needs to be applied). Apparently Flex expects me to provide a mask with a transparent background for it to work, or am I missing something?
If that's the case, could I transform the bitmapData which I am loading so that it treats black color as transparent?
I'm creating a fullscreen projector that has an FLV file on the stage. I successfully got the FLV to appear non full screen by using the answers for the following question:
Non-fullscreen FLVPlayback
However, the background still goes black just before the FLV comes to the stage.
It runs fine when the projector is not set to fullscreen - background is there along with my close button.
i have and opening sequence to an HTML site, that has two sides to it. basically you have two boxes that are buttons when you click on one of the boxs they load a flash sequence that goes into one or the other side of the site, but i need one side to have a black background and the other to have a white bg. I have looked into flash sending a variable to the HTML but have no real clue as to the correct syntax.[code]

I want to get new BitmapData representing that rect, all black pixels should be removed. Of course, i have no coordinates for that rectangle, i need somehow to make difference between a full black bitmapdata and the original one, and construct a new bitmapdata (different width and height).

I tried to cancel it out by write the background = false; but it is not working. Does anyone know why this is happening? View 3 RepliesI need a few minor changes done to my site such as changing the text on the About page and also changing it so that when you view a picture in any of the galleriess the background is completely black, right now it just fades out the text and thumbnails and is not entirely black.
I have never used Flash before but am pretty good with Photoshop, Illustrator and a little bit of Dreamweaver. Would these changes be difficult for someone who has never used Flash but can pick things up fairly quickly? I have decided to embed FLV movie files into my HTML page that I have rendered from After Effects.
I have noticed that there is a black 1px bottom border on my FLV movie on my webpage. The FLV fits perfect on the space I have left on my webpage and border is 0 everywhere. I have checked the After Effects original file and there is no accidental space or background errors that might be causing it.how to remove the black bottom border?
Im trying to make a 10 minute countdown with white numbers and black background. just need minutes, seconds and milliseconds. sending a fla file or in telling me the easiest way to do this. I am displaying a series of Flash animations in a WebView. The screen goes black each time I load a new animation—this is visually distracting and I would like it to leave the screen white. I have tried changing the WebView background color, embedding the Flash animation in HTML and specifying the background color, and making the WebView "Invisible" until the page has finished loading but nothing seems to have the desired effect. The Flash animation does not display the black background when run on a PC.

I do changes to my XML very often... but in my local machine, the banner takes a day or two to get updated.
Although I can clear my local machine's cache, the problem still remains for other users who visit my web page..
is there a programmatic way in flash or in html to overcome this problem ? Maybe a server configuration?
PS: below code works fine, but it clears out the cache completely... i need to clear XMl cache after a specific time period..

I have assembled a preloader using the method from this site, everything seem to work except for one problem My site supposed to start from a black background and the image fading in. However once I placed the preloader the image dose not fade in but appears right away to the full strength after the preloader gone to 100% Looks like it jumps to a few frames after the first frame of the main swf file. View 1 RepliesI found something when I create bitmap data cache for each frame of a movie clip:I got a movie clip, instead of presenting it immediatly on stage, I created a bitmap data array to store each frame of it, so I'm doing:

if i present the original body moive clip, everything is ok, but when I use cache, it begins to tremble, this is because the getBounds() method of movieclip returns different rectangle when mc is cached and mc is presented on stage. I tried trace out every getBounds() when caching and when Event.FRAME_CONSTRUCTED fire, they're different, making my cache crash!
I assum MovieClip class do not refresh until it's present to stage or some time in on frame, how can I get the real boundary of it if I need to cache it?
Do FMS cores share the same FLV cache or does each core have it's own cache?
