I have an FLVPlayback component on my timeline (frame 4 or so), and my Flash Projector is running in fullscreen mode. The problem is that I can't seem to make my FLVPlayback component NOT be in fullscreen mode and at the same time, have my stage in fullscreen mode.

I am using a FLVPlayBack component to play some videos back inside a flash site I am making. Obviously I am using a Flash CS3 - AS2 skin since I am making the site using AS2.
Does anyone have the code to create a fullscreen mode button so that the videos go into full screen mode that are playing the FLVPlayBack Component?
I have created a flash application that runs crisp and smooth normally. However, when I set it to fullscreen using

Then it runs slow as heck. My cpu usage shoots up to the 90%'s on all four cores. Strange thing is, however, that if I manually resize the projector chrome to take up the full screen size it runs smooth and crisp. It's not playing any videos or sounds, and there are minimal images. The swf file itself is 7 megs, and that's almost entirely because I have to embed the chinese alphabet. Could it be from running dual monitors? It still only "fullscreens" to one monitor's size, so I don't think its's twice the size without me noticing... I'm really not sure what's causing it, but it gets super slow...

.fla is only 448kB, but the swf is 7megs.
Again, it runs fine when not in fullscreen, no matter how large I make the window, but if you play the swf file in flash player (i.e. not in browser) it will run slow until you press esc and exit fullscreen mode.
I have an SWF file with a full-screen button working perfectly. I have added an FLVPlayback component, working correctly.
However, if the whole stage is in "Full Screen" mode, and I click on the button which loads the FLVPlayback component, the screen becomes black and the FLV doesn't even load.
I have tried addind the action movieHolder.fullScreenTakeOver = false; but it did not help.

I wanted to make a video player that has normal mode and fullscreen mode. The part I am having trouble understanding is how to handle the video once it gets set to fullscreen. Do I just use the current video or do I get a high quality version of the video to show during fullscreen mode? What would be best practice for this situation?
View 1 RepliesI have a M4V video file embedded in a Flash movie, and I need to play the Flash movie at full screen using the Macintosh Projector format. When the Flash file is done in Actionscript 2, everything appears as it should, but if the Flash file is done in Actionscript 3 (which this particular needs, since it uses armatures), then the video fills up the whole screen and hides everything else. I figured out how to prevent the video from scaling to fit the screen (set the scaleMode parameter to "noScale"), but it still shows the video in the center of a black screen. How can I get it to stop messing with the file and just play the @#$! video where I put it?

I just want to run it as maximized irrespective of the screen resolution.
I have a Flash CS3 project that uses the FLVPlayBack component to play 5 FLV files. Each of the files has between 1 and 15 navigation CuePoints embedded in the video (MOV files encoded using Flash Encoder).
When I test the app using Ctrl-Enter from the IDE all works fine.
When I test the published projector EXE on the hard disk all works fine.
When I burn all the files to CD-ROM and start the projector EXE not all is fine.
When I click on one of my buttons that will navigate to the desired cuepoint within the FLV, it acts like it is unable to find the cuepoint and thus goes to the end of the FLV file.This is very annoying and I can not find anything listed anywhere. I suspect it has something to do with buffering or something because the CD-ROM is slower than the hard drive.When playing the video all I am doing is:

When I navigate to the cuepoint I am using the following:

I have read several posts where people discuss TOPMOST and SWF Studio as options for keeping applications running in the top of the z order.
My question is: Is there a way to create a projector that always stays on top (e.g. even if a windows update occurs) without purchasing SWF Studio? As I understand TOPMOST is only for launched applications, not for the application itself.
I am trying to do something really simple but I think there may be a bug in flash. I want to create a fullscreen projector which does not scale the stage and contains movies, the movies should not play fullscreen. I want the videos to stay exactly the size as I have set them up on the stage as they have titles above them. The issues I am facing are as follows;

I have created a cd-rom in flash which autoruns and opens up as a fullscreen projector. The cd launches various powerpoint files from without the movie, however, once i close the powerpoint file, the projector is no longer fullscreen.
Is there any way I can keep the flash movie running fullscreen behind the powerpoint files, so when i close them, the flash movie is the same.

I have two seperate machines I work on. Is it possible to have a true fullscreen? It was possible in as2, but all examples I've seen on this forum haven't worked. I will not be using an accompanying html file, I will be publishing to exe.
View 5 RepliesI have a Flash presentation I want to autorun in full screen mode. I set this using StageScaleMode.FULL_SCREEN, and it works fine if I run the swf file. However, the exe file opens a blank full screen, and only when I exit with ESC does it show the actual movie in a regular window.

However, the background still goes black just before the FLV comes to the stage.
It runs fine when the projector is not set to fullscreen - background is there along with my close button.
I'm having a problem getting a cdrom interface to not scale in an AS3 Projector. The movie does have an embeded flv player, but it has an interface around that that is 830px wide by about 500 tall and that needs to be shown at its original size, but fullscreen. The video is inside another movie clip and doesn't use the FLVPlayer component. There is also a custom video controller that needs to be positioned under the video when viewed fullscreen and then return under the original video. I have had some success opening the fullscreen video but could not position the video or controller position accurately.

I need to play a flash website in full screen mode. That runs fine but then I have a link where we have an FLV video component. Whenever I browse to the link having the FLV video, the video goes fullscreen and fills the whole screen. I want the FLV so that it remains at the original video dimensions while I'm at Full Screen. Also I have another problem, if I let the video play in full screen, then when I press escape to get out of video it exits the full screen mode as well, how can I exit the video yet not exit full screen mode.
BTW, I've searched the internet and couldn't find any example of flash where we have flv video in full screen mode website.
I'm encountering a strange problem with using Fullscreen mode. Basically I want the whole piece to become fullscreen, but because there is an flv active within the page the flv is taking over the fullscreen instead of the whole piece. View 1 RepliesI built a flash player using the flvplayback component. I have a menu that slides up when the user brings the mouse down over the bottom 130 pixels of the flvplayback component. I did this by creating a symbol that is a clear box called "trig" and using "trig.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, slidebar);" with "slidebar" being a function that calls the tween to make the menu appear. To go into fullscreen mode i use the command "video.enterFullScreenDisplayState();" which is called by a button. Is there any way to set it so that my sliding menu will still work in fullscreen mode?
In a related question is there anyway to to have the player start in fullscreen mode? I tried using video.enterFullScreenDisplayState(); as the first line of the action script file after the import commands, but that didn't seem to work.
I'm running a standalone EXE file via the Projector (or whatever it's called when you run a standalone EXE file made with Flash). It's NOT a web-based application. Every time I go to fullscreen mode, I just get a blank screen. All of the images are gone. However, if I press Esc to exit the full screen mode, then the pictures appear again. Is this a bug with Flash CS3? This is what I put in the first frame of my movie in the 'actions' section:

When I run the Flash program (as an exe file), the program goes fullscreen, but all of the elements on the stage disappear, leaving the screen blank. However, when I exit out of fullscreen mode (by pressing ESC) then everything looks like it's supposed to, with the images showing up and everything.
