So I know that I can start the window in Full Screen with this code:stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;But what if I want to start it maximized? Is that possible?
I have created a flash application that runs crisp and smooth normally. However, when I set it to fullscreen using Code: fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
Then it runs slow as heck. My cpu usage shoots up to the 90%'s on all four cores. Strange thing is, however, that if I manually resize the projector chrome to take up the full screen size it runs smooth and crisp. It's not playing any videos or sounds, and there are minimal images. The swf file itself is 7 megs, and that's almost entirely because I have to embed the chinese alphabet. Could it be from running dual monitors? It still only "fullscreens" to one monitor's size, so I don't think its's twice the size without me noticing... I'm really not sure what's causing it, but it gets super slow...
The swf and fla files are located at: [URLs] .fla is only 448kB, but the swf is 7megs. Again, it runs fine when not in fullscreen, no matter how large I make the window, but if you play the swf file in flash player (i.e. not in browser) it will run slow until you press esc and exit fullscreen mode.
I am creating a flash-based Kiosk. When launched, it runs full page/full screen. However, if a user clicks a button that opens an external document, the swf or Flash Projector exe leaves full page mode and appears in the Flash Player. Is there any way to ensure the swf or projector file always stays in full screen - full page mode?
My company emails our Flash EXE files out to customers. Most of these Flash files use keyboard events to navigate through them, and they load external SWF and video files. So, obviously,I have to package all of my movie files, SWF, and the main EXE into the same folder. In the past, they have simply Zipped the file, emailed it out, and told them which file to open.
I am trying to find a way to take the entire folder and bundle it into a single EXE file.I need to find a permanent solution for opening the main Flash EXE file in a MAXIMIZED window. I don't mean fullscreen.I mean MAXIMIZED.In fullscreen, keyboard events don't work. But, they do in a Maximized window.
I have a M4V video file embedded in a Flash movie, and I need to play the Flash movie at full screen using the Macintosh Projector format. When the Flash file is done in Actionscript 2, everything appears as it should, but if the Flash file is done in Actionscript 3 (which this particular needs, since it uses armatures), then the video fills up the whole screen and hides everything else. I figured out how to prevent the video from scaling to fit the screen (set the scaleMode parameter to "noScale"), but it still shows the video in the center of a black screen. How can I get it to stop messing with the file and just play the @#$! video where I put it?
I have an FLVPlayback component on my timeline (frame 4 or so), and my Flash Projector is running in fullscreen mode. The problem is that I can't seem to make my FLVPlayback component NOT be in fullscreen mode and at the same time, have my stage in fullscreen mode.
how to open pdf, swf file in flash 8 projector? i am using exec command which was used earlier in flash 8 but its only working for exe files after keeping the files in folder named fscommand....
I am creating a Flash projector to work on a CD for a client to distribute. There has to be a listing of their PDF's in the flash program, that when clicked, will open the actual PDF in a separate window. I found one comment in this site to use "GetURL", but found out it is ONLY for HTML. There was mention of setting up the FSCommand to open another application, such as a PDF file, but how? I have the files in the same directory and tried putting the file name in the "GetURL" (the PDF file), but just freezes when trying to open. Also, is there a way they can drag and drop the PDF files to the desktop, that has the listings of the PDF's and save to the hard drive?
I have a flash projector file (.exe) that I need to add Code Signing to it so it does not say 'Unknown Publisher' in Vista. I read that for CS3 there is no authenticode signing. Was this added in CS4? I just want to check before I go ahead and purchase a 3rd party app like Juggler. Any software to add authenticode signature to a CS4 flash projector file? Jugglor is pretty old (2007) and I would like to know if there are more recent apps to package and sign projector files.
im using Flash CS4 slide presentation to make a education CD. In the end of the slides i want to open a pdf file. How can i do it? Is it a east way to do it? I publish the project as a projector file. I tested to use GetURL but the file wont open. I have the pdf-filein the same folder as the projector exe-file.
I have a Flash projector file which I would like to edit with Resource Hacker. I would simply like to change a few of the menu bar items (see below): Does anyone know if this is legal and will not hinder my ability to freely redistribute the file?
I have some problem opening a words document via flash projector. Here the code i use

Here is the exact error I receive: Error creating Flash projector file. Be sure that Flash is installed correctly and that the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive.I am able to produce an exe but not the app.
I have:
Flash Player 10 debugger version Mac OSX Flash CS3
I have a html file with a flash movie-menu embedded into it. I'd like one of the buttons to open an external html page strictly in a new maximized window. It does not matter if the new window has toolbar or not. I want it to open a new maximized window (not the full screen thing) onclick.
I am trying to make a flash player 10.1 projector file (both .app and .exe) and I am having some issues when I go fullscreen. This was originally a web project, and everything works okay online (or even locally when I click on my .html file). However when I make an .app projector file, and play it, some (not all) of my buttons stop working on fullscreen mode).I seem to be having problems with any buttons that have an alpha Tween (I am using TweenLite/TweenMax) applied to them on the MOUSE_OVER event.Buttons with Blur tweens work in both fullscreen and normal screen mode.
Client is stating that a Flash Projector file (.exe for PC) isn't digitally signed. First time I have come across this and wonder if it's really required, why it would be and can it be done?
I have a swf that plays in the browser and I would like to give the user an option to open the swf into a stand alone player. The best way I see to do this is to export the swf as a projector file but I can't figure out how to pass any params (flashvars) to the exe file.
I am trying to create .txt file dynamically from a Flash projector exe on to the local system for a game, Wherein the score and the players name should be stored.I have tried using the Loadvariable POST method to no avail. CAn anyone please help me through with this problem.
I have a set of users who run my application in non debug mode. Off late they have been reporting lot of issues. But I am not able to debug as there is no log file.Is it possuible in flex 3 to do logging in a file without running in debug version. I understand trace only works if we run application in debug version.
I'm currently trying to get an AS3 based flash file to run full screen in a windows projector, but no matter what I try codewise I cannot get the function correctly working,I've tried
fscommand("fullscreen","true");
which works, but I'm also told to avoid it, as it's buggy : - I also tried
I'm making a Flash projector which will be distributed on CD. I want to allow people to copy files off of the CD. Is this possible? Should I be using FileReference?
I am exporting an SWC via Flash Professional CS5 version 11.0.0.485 with the latest Flex Component Kit (2.0.0) installed in the Extension Manager. In Symbol properties, I'm Exporting for Actionscript in Frame 1 with the Class name equal to the Symbol name.
I've imported the SWC into Flash Builder 4.6 with all the different available SDKs.
With all of them I get an error in Design Mode
"SWC File Failed to load. Any component dependent on this SWC will not be displayed in the design mode."
If I instantiate the component via the Source it runs ok and in the browser I see the component.
I know I could just say "whatever, I don't need Design mode" but I'd like to know what is happening.
Had a problem stretching the flash file to fill the screen in a projector movie. It is not made in proportion with the standard screen sizes. Is there a quicky way of doing this, without having to go into each element and resizing it. Its a huge file with a lot of cross referencing happening, and _root is used liberally everywhere.
I made a small AIR app that I'd like to put in full screen when starting, but it goes only maximized. Here is how I try to achieve this in the constructor:
The thing is that it gets me to maximized window where the native window frame is still showing (minimize, maximize, close buttons and app name). If I am setting the stage.displayState in a regular Flash app (played in flash player) then everything works as expected. App is really full screen with no window showing.how to get AIR work as Flash player?
I have two seperate machines I work on. Is it possible to have a true fullscreen? It was possible in as2, but all examples I've seen on this forum haven't worked. I will not be using an accompanying html file, I will be publishing to exe.
I have this project that requires opening pdf's in acrobat reader that needs to be burned on a CD ROM as a self contained EXE. So I am designing this in flash with buttons that will open pdf's, then I'm exporting this as a swf and importing that into Director and then exporting it as an exe. Why you ask... it seems when I export the flash file as an exe, it needs flash player installed to open the exe. This project needs to be burned on a cd rom and as a stand alone player that will open pdf's in reader.
So my question; Is there an easier way to do this? and How? 2nd, what is the code to open a pdf file from a flash swf/projector in (A.) Acrobat reader or (B.) explorer.
If someone opens up a projector file on a cd, and I have a website open up on a click for example, can this work? Does it open in their default browser?
I noticed that in Windows, if you maximize a window you can not resize it until you un-maximized it again. This appears to be a normal behaviour, so I would like to remove my resize gripper when the window is maximised. At the moment I can't find a property to detect if a window is maximized, and although I could add a boolean in my controller, it wouldn't necessarily catch requests to maximize from the OS.So if you know of a reliable way to test if a window is maximized please let me know.On a related note, I am using custom chrome, and when I maximize a window it overlaps the windows task bar. I can think of hacks to detect available screen size (using a transparent system chrome window), but it would be good to know of a better method.
