ActionScript 3.0 :: Make A Flash Player 10.1 Projector File (both .app And .exe)?
Oct 14, 2010
I am trying to make a flash player 10.1 projector file (both .app and .exe) and I am having some issues when I go fullscreen.This was originally a web project, and everything works okay online (or even locally when I click on my .html file). However when I make an .app projector file, and play it, some (not all) of my buttons stop working on fullscreen mode).I seem to be having problems with any buttons that have an alpha Tween (I am using TweenLite/TweenMax) applied to them on the MOUSE_OVER event.Buttons with Blur tweens work in both fullscreen and normal screen mode.
I've got a flash player (using JWPlayer) that plays an audio file. The file plays fine. How do I provide the embed code for end-users to copy, so they can post the player and play the audio file on their own site directly? Should I be using HTML <pre> tags somewhere? Or JavaScript to generate the embed code / link?
I'm trying to make my Flex SWF act like a Flash movie SWF so that when the user issues the Play command in the FLash Player it can trigger an event in my Flex SWF file. I'm not sure what event this would hook into or if this is possible with Flex.
Im trying to make a projector movie that links to a pdf (in the same folder) on a CD that needs to run in both windows and mac. Im able to get it to work on a pc but not on mac. here is the code for the button i used in the projector.
on (release) { fscommand ("exec", "manual1.bat");
and bat file open a pdf file.so i want to do the same thing for mac, that is using the fscommand to open up a pdf in acrobat. I read messages here that use applescript but i dont understand it too well so what id like to know if possible is the applescript, what it does and do i apply it to the button in my projector or do i tell the button to look at the applescript or what? I guess thats it for now.

I am creating a Flash projector to work on a CD for a client to distribute. There has to be a listing of their PDF's in the flash program, that when clicked, will open the actual PDF in a separate window. I found one comment in this site to use "GetURL", but found out it is ONLY for HTML. There was mention of setting up the FSCommand to open another application, such as a PDF file, but how? I have the files in the same directory and tried putting the file name in the "GetURL" (the PDF file), but just freezes when trying to open. Also, is there a way they can drag and drop the PDF files to the desktop, that has the listings of the PDF's and save to the hard drive?
I have a flash projector file (.exe) that I need to add Code Signing to it so it does not say 'Unknown Publisher' in Vista. I read that for CS3 there is no authenticode signing. Was this added in CS4? I just want to check before I go ahead and purchase a 3rd party app like Juggler. Any software to add authenticode signature to a CS4 flash projector file? Jugglor is pretty old (2007) and I would like to know if there are more recent apps to package and sign projector files.
im using Flash CS4 slide presentation to make a education CD. In the end of the slides i want to open a pdf file.How can i do it? Is it a east way to do it? I publish the project as a projector file. I tested to use GetURL but the file wont open. I have the pdf-filein the same folder as the projector exe-file.

Client is stating that a Flash Projector file (.exe for PC) isn't digitally signed. First time I have come across this and wonder if it's really required, why it would be and can it be done?
I have a swf that plays in the browser and I would like to give the user an option to open the swf into a stand alone player. The best way I see to do this is to export the swf as a projector file but I can't figure out how to pass any params (flashvars) to the exe file.

I'm currently trying to get an AS3 based flash file to run full screen in a windows projector, but no matter what I try codewise I cannot get the function correctly working,I've tried

I'm making a Flash projector which will be distributed on CD. I want to allow people to copy files off of the CD. Is this possible? Should I be using FileReference?
Had a problem stretching the flash file to fill the screen in a projector movie. It is not made in proportion with the standard screen sizes. Is there a quicky way of doing this, without having to go into each element and resizing it. Its a huge file with a lot of cross referencing happening, and _root is used liberally everywhere.
I need to trap keyboard events. My code works OK in test mode (ctrl + enter), but not when I run the swf or projector directly on the desktop. My project is going on CD, not in a browser, and the only thing on the stage is an instance of the FLVplayback component. And while I'm at it....does anyone know the code to simulate clicking the windows Restore button? That's what the keypress is for. My client doesn't want the video running in real full-screen; they want their users to click the Maximize button, so they'll see the title bar, then press Esc to restore the window, again.
I have an issue with video. I have a full screen projector running Flash Player 10.1. I call the video with this code: function fbtnclickj(e:MouseEvent):void{ var loadera = new Loader(); addChild(loadera); loadera.load(new URLRequest("videos/video1a.swf")); } The videofile (video1a.swf) uses the Flash FLV Playback component 2.5 (size 320 x 240) and the source movie is external (video1a.flv). The videoloads and runs fine but enters in full screen despite I have configure the component to exactFit. Any way to make it stay to 320x240?
i want to make the character in my flash game make a jump when the player presses a key,e.g. 'space',even the player release the key instantly,the character will still finish the complete jump process.
I'm building a game in which I have different player objects which will behave differently. I want to make a player(i call it professor) class held in an external .as file. I need to be able to assign onEnterFrame attributes in for this class in the external .as file and I'm encountering some difficulties. here is my .as file
The constructor is working fine, along witht he getSkin function, but I can't get the onEnterFrame function to work. It is my understanding that once I instantiate an instance of the Professor class that the onEnterFrame function should kick over and start sending my trace statement to the debugger at the current frame rate.
ps. here is the code in my .fla
#include "Professor.as" playerOne = new Professor("mathews"); playerOne.getSkin();
I have a Mac (intel) CS3 flash fla that I am exporting asprojector. The exported Mac projector and windows exe file will notopen full screen w/o the flashplayer's top toolbar. I have testedthe projector file on Mac 10.4 and Windows XP and all show theflashplayer's top tool bar. The only way to go full screen is tomanually select view/full screen in the player toolbar. I havetried the fscommand("fullscreen", "true"); toggle (true/false/true)workaround w/o any success. Any other workarounds I can try
I have created a projector/swf for a friend. He wanted it password-protected, which I did, but he wants to be able to change it - without using Flash (which he doesn't have). I thought about writing to an XML file, but that would be way too easy to crack, wouldn't it?Is there any way to write to the .exe file's shell?
