Professional :: Make Button Keep Color After Click Or Touch
Aug 5, 2011
I am trying to figure out how I can have my buttons keep a color after it has been clicked or pressed.This is important since I need to make the viewer understand what answer was correct.I have set the down state but I need my button to keep that down state color.
I have a map of the US and each state has a rollover that changes the color of the state...what i am trying to figure out is how to click on the state and have text appear to the side of the US map and have that text stay up until the user clicks on another state.
I want to do as follows: * click a "red" button write in textarea with red color font click "blue" button * write in textarea with blue color font Isn't this possible in flash 10 using AS3 I tried using setTextFormat but the problem is i have to have text before inserting format on that.
click a "red" button write in textarea with red color fontclick "blue" buttonwrite in textarea with blue color font Isn't this possible in flash 10 using AS3 ? I tried using setTextFormat but the problem is i have to have text before inserting format on that.
If I have say 7 buttons, each containing text that changes color on rollover using the "Up" "Over" and "Down" keyframes in the buttons' timeline. Is there a simple way to get the button's text to change color when clicked, stay that way, and then change back to the original color once one of the other 6 buttons are clicked?
The only thing I can come up with is writing pages of code for each button that changes the color of every other button regardless of whether it was active.
I have a list of buttons, en what I'm trying to do is when you click on a button, it changes color.
The color of the text of the original button is blue. On top is a movieClip with the same text but in black. So when you click a button I want to change the _alpha property from the black movieclip to 0. Meanwhile the _alpha of the rest of the buttons must be set back to 100; so if a button is already blue, it becomes black again.
Here's my code: the maximum value of the list of buttons is saved in 'max_array'
function anim(mc_huidig) {// function anim starts when you click 'mc_huidig' for (i=0; i<max_array+1; i++) { mc = eval("newsitem"+i);
[Code]....
When I use the trace on 'deactief', it does the trace but the trace keep going on, it never stops. It seems to me that "clearInterval(fadeout);" doesn't happen.
I'm running macromedia flash mx, and I'm trying to make a linkable swf by following this procedure: I select the object and then convert it to symbol. Then I choose " button " Right click at the object---> actions ---->[+]--->browser/network ----> getURL. I type my url and choose 'self" target.
When I test movie the hand symbol appears at first, but when clicked it turns to arrow. Exactly the same happends when I appload the swf and of course there's no link ...
i have dynamic coding for a full screen toggle button that needs to be a "double click" button. its for a touch screen. how to allow a double click for a touch screen? from what I know, for touch screens you have to use the MOUSE_DOWN event. but i need to allow for a double click. i tried the DOUBLE_CLICK mouseEvent and set doubleClickEnabled to true but it does now work on the touch screen. here is the code:
I have a slideshow with keys that when clicked, direct the viewer to a certain image in a slideshow. I did this using some as3 directing flash to go to certain frames with specific labels tied to specific 'keys' or little navigation buttons.
Often I see slideshows where once the little navigation button that represents a certain slide in a show is clicked, it changes color. Not just when it is clicked, but when it is currently on the specified image. When another button is clicked, and when that image in the slideshow is no longer 'current', the color of the button (or mc if that's what it needs to be) changes back to the normal color. Currently, I have the button's over and down states as one color, and the up and hit states as another color. What do I need to do to ensure that when the button is clicked, and it's corresponding image is the 'current' image shown on screen, that the button changes to a different color to distinguish it from the rest of the nav buttons?
some are there on internet like product demo swfs(phone,ipods,cars)they have some feature bottom of screen has 4,5 color buttons.if we click red button product color change to red.ny one know how to do that..?is that change color of movie clip or insert another image or how..?
Everybody has seen the braingiants website (url..). And all the bouncing box efx.But, does anybody know how to change tha all background color when u click a button...? like the ones in braingiants. standing in the html
I'm trying to learn a simple way to code a button's color to change when you click on the button itself. I got the button's alpha to work by doing the following: Create a text field with the word "Preflight" and convert it to a button. Drag the button onto the stage and give it an instance name of "Preflight1". On the first frame of the timeline, insert the following code:
Now when you test the movie, anytime you click the button "Preflight" the button's alpha drops (dims) by 10%. Works perfect and easy. Now, how can I do this exact same thing with the button's color? When you click the button, its color changes to some new color? I've tried colorTransform, but no luck.
If I click my paint bucket color chooser, it will give me an eyedropper but it doesn't show the correct colors of what my mouse is hovering over. It's just a completely random jumble of colors whenever I move my mouse.
I have a movieclip object and I want to tween the color of this object from colorA to colorB when I click a button. What is the best way of doing this, is it possible to do it with the tween class? As far as I can see its not possible to tween a tint with the Tween class?
by the way you need to make a symbol and need to export for ActionScript and class name is "ball". And the button instant name is:bButton. So here's the script I wrote so far.
var boundaryRight:Number = stage.stageWidth; var boundaryLeft:Number = 0; var balls:Array;[code]....
As you can see that code made the multiple ball go to left and looping over and over again. So here's what I want to do. I want to make a button and when I click the button it'll change direction like click and it change direction to right. I click it again and it'll go left again. How do I write the code for that?
how to make the button stay in different color after it view the image on the stage? I know how to create a button but it just only change the color when I move my mouse over but after I move out then it will change back into the previous color...
What is the easiest way to make scrollable text that I can set to whatever font I want (embeded of course)have it look very well anti-aliased; like most Flash text, not like it's being read out of a regular system or browser window. (the text will be big so no probs)have different portions of the text be different colors so I can highlight certain words and leave others aloneuse actionscript to load text content into itmaybe make (all) the text semi transparent for design purposesI'm going to use some action script to load some XML content into the text areas or whatever. Any of you know of any easy ways of accomplishing this? or have a link to any type of tutorial? (at least for Flash CS3 and above of course, along with ActionScript 3)
I'm new to these forums and just have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to.I'm building an app for a project that requires the use of mutli-touch, not neccesarily gestures butore like triggering two seperate events on differant parts of the screen at the same time.To be more specific, say i have one movie-clip that triggers an event by a mouseOver listener and anotherthat triggers an event by a mouseDown listener, is it possible to have these events trigger simultaneously when theuser places a finger on each movie clip at the same time?
when publish the iphone os ,if the the *.actionscript file should be added in the contain files? and if the action "touch" in iphone os is the "click" action?
I am a rank Flash newbie, so maybe I'm missing something obvious. In InDesign or Illustrator, if I want to change every red object to blue, I can go into the color list, edit the red color to the blue values, and every instance of red in the document reflects the edit. I don't have to select each red element and pick the new blue for stroke and/or fill.
I have a griddle_mc, bacon_mc, and BaconCooking.wav. I want to play the wav when the bacon is moved onto the griddle. If I move the bacon until it just touches the griddle the wav plays fine, but if I continue to drag the bacon_mc across the griddle the wav becomes loud and distorted, almost like it's playing multiple instances of the wav at the same time.
private function __handleSliceDown($evt:MouseEvent):void { slice1_mc.startDrag(true); }
I have a slideshow where you can click a button and it will bring you to a specific frame with an image on it. How can I code it so that the clicked button that represents the 'current' slide changes color until another button is clicked? When the other button is clicked, it will take on the 'current' color I bet this has been asked before, but I've only found responses for AS2.
