Not sure why this is happening but everytime I test a movie (CTRL+ENTER) in Flash movie it produces a blank white screen. I even created a new Flash file with a simple Shape but it still gives me that blank white screen when I run test movie. It does, however, run correctly when I click the *.swf that got generated. I'm not sure if my work recently upgraded me to a newer version of Flash Player.

Should bring up a login when you go to that site. However in Chrome It seems to be loading something and then I just get a blank white screen. Sometimes it loads but if you then hit refresh it will bring you to a blank white screen instead of reloading. Also interestingly if you are staring at the white screen, if you double click, click drag click around alot on the page it will come up kind of like its there but not being displayed. this problem only displayed in Chrome -- IE, Firefox, safarii etc. Perhaps my HTML is bad? I can't believe that because when I use the raw-HTML output from a publish in CS5 It is still giving me this behavior? Also others have had this problem with my site so it isn't just my browser/computer combo.

I am working on a website right now and when I go to the html version of it, all it does is just sit there. A blank white screen for maybe a minute and hwen it finally loads the preloader only comes up for a half a second.

I have the Netbook version of Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat and installed Google Chrome stable. I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash.Here is the behavior:1. YouTube videos appear as a white screen when embedded on the page in Chrome. I hear sound.2 The video is normal when I switch to full-screen mode.3. HTML5 videos display normally in Chrome4. Firefox displays YouTube videos without any problem.5. It seems like the loading screen (more like frame) is the last thing to load, so you are stuck staring at a blank screen for a while. How can i prioritize how the game loads so that the instant you get on the page the loading screen comes up immediately?

View 1 RepliesWhile testing the movie within Flash,the Test Movie window randomly goes blank, showing the stage color. The movie is still running, there's no error, it's just blank. When I resize the Test Movie window,everything reappears... Until a few seconds later, when it snaps back to blank... so I resize, it reappears, it disappears, I resize, it reappears, it disappears... over and over.Resizing even just one pixel is enough to get it to come back. Sometimes it happens every few seconds.
This might be related to another issue: If I Test Movie with the Bandwidth Profiler on, Flash CS4 doesn't resize the window correctly to fit my entire movie in it, resulting in a big blank space underneath the Bandwidth Profiler, and that same amount of space being cutoff the bottom of my movie. I haven't seen anything like this in 10yrs of Flash development. This is a Mac Pro, 8-core. The graphics card is ATI Radeon HD XT 2600. 6GB RAM. 10.5.3-10.5.7
The same FLA works without any issues on CS4/XP. The FLA saved to CS3 works without any issues on CS3/OSX and CS3/XP (same machine).I have all but given up on CS4 for OSX. Between the crappy framerates, the crashing, and not being able to TEST MOVIE, I just avoid CS4 on OSX and use CS3 on OSX or CS4 on XP.

View 1 RepliesI have a little Flash intro SWF i prepared and handed off to a friend who is implementing my intro animation into an HTML site.... The problem is that once the SWF (intro) finishes, there is a short gap (blank white page) before the actual HTML site loads. Is there a way around this? Is this something i need to code on my side (AS3) or is this a problem for my HTML/javascript buddy to figure out......or both.

View 1 RepliesI tried all suggestions from the dreamweave forums and none worked.I am placing a CS4 swf movie into dreamweaver CS4 and when I preview in firefox I can't get rid of the 1 pixel white border.Have tried all settings, including setting the wmode parameters to transparentBorder set to 0, frame set to 'top', image set to top.If I change the background of the frame to blue for example, I get a 1 pixel blue line. I believe the problem is in dreamweaver.How do I fix this?

I noticed this thing that Flash self generated graphic symbols and names it Tween1, Tween2, etc. I am not sure why it happens. Usually it happens when I tween something and then this accompanying graphic symbol appears in the library. Do I really need them, is it a flash mulfunction and I can safely delete them? why they are happening, am I making all the wrong steps in tweening and thus they appear?

I am creating a 4 frame application demo which stops on the first frame and lets the user navigate to other frames using buttons. I've done something very similar before and didn't have this problem. Now with this new project I've created the pages in photoshop and imported them onto the stage. The dimensions are 1024/768 px. When I go to Control -> Test Movie -> In Flash professional. The window pops up very small , but the page looks nomal size so i get the top left portion of the design. Then when i expand the window, instead of seeing the rest of the design the desing floats to the bottom right as I pull the window open leaving all this white space around the top and left margins.

View 15 RepliesI created a graphic on one layer in my timeline in FLASH CS4 and then added a new layer above it with text to create a zoom out effect. When I click Control>Play the movie plays fine with the text zooming out as it is supposed to but when I click Control>Test Movie the movie shows white with the text constantly visible and the graphic flickering on (visible) and off (not visible) so fast that it's barely visible.

View 2 RepliesI am using CS5 Flash and have developed a very large system with several thousand lines of code, a main timeline, and some dozen classes. Sometimes when I test it, I get get the error message below.Error creating SWF fileBe sure the destination file is not read-only or opened by another applcation. Also check that the file name is not too long.It appears to happen at random. Many times it doesn't appear at all and the FLA simply complies. Other times it may appear several times before the FLA complies. If there are errors in the FLA file, normal error messages are displayed. If there are no errors in the FLA, I get this random error message.
