Professional :: Command Line To Install Flash From Swflash.cab?

I would like to know what's the exact command line used to install flash from swflash.cab. Seems that would be something like 'rundll32 advpack.dll...', and I know that FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER.EXE uses the switch RegServer from the .inf.
A completely silent command line would be nice to!
O.S.: Windows XP Professional SP3 and Windows Server 2003.
Inherited some flash widgets that are developed in .fla format and exported to .swf apps, using Flash Pro CS5. I have only limited understanding of AS3 or 4, flex and flash in general, but I'm quickly becoming dangerous.
My bottom line problem is I need to find a command line tool to 'build' the .fla source into .swf entities. q1: are there any cmd line tools with the Flash Pro CS5 for such purpose? I cant seem to find any, but I may not be looking at the right places.
I know there's such a thing as the Flex SDK, but what's under Flash CS5 at "Adobe Flash CS5CommonConfigurationActionScript 3.0flex_sdk", doesn't seem to have anything useful in it, only a general flex library.
Another requirement I need to solve is to create customer specific, purpose built versions of the widget. From the Flash IDE, I can figure out how to replace the background images, etc., but.q2: how can I do this at export/build time and later on, via the command line tool?
Basically, a build/compile directive in source would allow the swf builder to replace a given image asset with the version I intend to build with.
Well i have an adobe air which runs vlc-player at background as service. i check that in Windows Task Manager , the service runs when air application launches. here is the code

I want it so that when you click a button, it will run a multiplayer game and connect to a server, WITHOUT having any .bat or .exe files beforehand. So any new guy can rock up and connect, just as long as he has the game.
It will run the game and connect to a certain server. The problem is, how do I get Flash to do that without any premade .exes with command lines?
The only other problem I can think of is, is it possible to run the game without knowing the directory the exe is in? In other words, could Flash find the game .exe if it was just given a name?
how do I compile Flash .FLAs using command line? I am using Eclipse + FDT for Flash development and I would like to use ANT to automatize the compilation. I am using AS3 and need to compile for Flash Player 10.1.
Is it possible to pass and use command line parameters to Flash projector exe file? I have a SWF which reads few FlashVars. I need to publish that SWF as exe and pass those parameters. An option of publishing it as AIR application and then command line paramaeters is also there.

A few days ago, I began to develop a flash with text editor and Flex SDK which is free. But I found Flex SDK doesn't support Alert or Scrollbar.What are the differences between Flex SDK and Flash Professional or Builder?Are there any other limitations of developing flash in command line with Flex SDK?
Is there any command line tools to move an h264/mp4 index to the beginning so that flash will start playing the file quicker over the net? I am aware of the tool QTIndexSwapper however it is not command line.
Alternatively is there an ffmpeg command to place the index at the front during an encoding?
I have a tiny actionscript "project" consisting of two files, call them foo.as and bar.as. For reasons I won't go into, I really really want to build the .SWF from the command line, without setting up a formal project of any kind. Every compiler I've ever used lets you do this, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to coerce MXMLC into compiling these two files and linking them into a SWF.
Naively, I try
MXMLC foo.as bar.as
but I'm informed that only one source file is allowed.supposing I compiled these two files separately, how would I link them together to get the final SWF?
NOTE: The only reason I have two files instead of one is the requirement of only one class per file. I tried putting both classes in one file and making one of the classes "private" or "internal" but neither of these ideas worked. I would be ecstatic to find out I can put more than one class in a file (with only one being public).
I am researching how to develop a flash app that records ping and network data and graphs it. Has anyone reading this had any experience in accessing command line with Flash or know of anyone that has done something like this? I am not sure if I need a connection service using JAVA or something along those lines to make a sammich of software. [url]...
I'm interested in learning just enough Flash/Flex to do things that I can't do from HTML and JavaScript alone - play sound files and video, use multiple file upload things, perform cross-domain Ajax requests using the crossdomain.xml file etc. As such, I don't really want to learn (or pay for) the Flex IDE. I'm not much of an IDE guy in any case.
The problem is, most of the tutorials I've found talk about the IDE. I've figured out how to compile .mxml files at the command line using bin/mxmlc - now I just need to learn MXML, ActionScript and the various APIs! What are the best resources for learning these? I'm fine with buying a book, I just don't want to shell out for the API itself.
Im using mxmlc to compile as3 on ubuntu linux. I've donwloaded flex4_b2_100509, just to use the most recent stuff...so Im typing 'mxmlc file.as' but it just hangs on me... it doesnt return anything. I checked running processes ('ps -e') and its showing both mxmlc and java as running, which tells me the compiler started. after a while the shell reports a 'segmentation fault'l.
I'm trying to create/write a custom flash video player program which I want to compile into an .exe after I'm happy with it.The tricky part is, I want my other windows application to be able to specify a path to a video in the hook to open the .exe video player. Example .... When clicked inside of my Custom .Net application, I will open a link to my video program with a hook for which video to play as such...

I am willing to vary my format of handling this to accomplish my goal. have thought about reading from a text file and pulling the path to the video from there and then deleting the text file later, this is a last resort however as I would like very much to use a command line hook instead. I'm running windows 7 ultimate and I'm trying to install flash cs4 professional with no luck. it always get stuck and about 93% and i get the error massage the it can't install flash cs4

I have Windows 7 home premium, my flash player was working but quit then I got messages on some pages saying I needed to intall the latest version of flash player but when I try I then get a litte box that says when all program are closed then the flash player will automatically install. But I closed all the programs and nothing happens as a matter of fact internect explorer still shows up in the little black box as running. I closed everything out so I don't know what else to do and I need my flash player
I have tried to install a component for flash, but it seems that my Adobe Extension Manager keeps crashing every time I try and load it up (load the Extention Manager not the compnent). Does anyone knonw why this might be? How am i able to install a componenet without using the Extension Manager?
Gb HDD (dual core). I've already installed with succeed Photoshop CS5 and Illustrator CS5 and InDesign CS5 with success on my computer with DVD versions on this Windows 7 boot. I precise I already succeed to install Flash CS5 on the same computer but with Windows Vista installed (dual boot), so the installer seems to be OK. But when I'm on my Windows 7 boot, when I try to install Flash CS5 Pro downloadable version, I get some errors as soon as the installer try to copy some files on my HD and the installer stops immediatly with those error messages:

I've notice all the trouble people are having trying to get updates of FP to cooperate with Vista and IE, but is anyone out there having trouble getting the installer to work on a mac? After running the uninstaller, which says it was successful, I cannot get ANY version of FP to re-install on my mac. Both Firefox and Safari are showing the plug-in as missing and when prompted to download and install, the installation fails again and again.
The only way I have been able to successfully get flash player working again is to re-install my version of Creative Suite, which automatically installs FP when you install the Flash application.

I've just purchased Adobe's Design Premium CS5 and installed it from the disk onto a brand new Dell XPS laptop running windows 7 home, 64 bit. Every program runs great except for Flash professional which will not open. The loading screen appears, and then I get a message that says: "Adobe Flash cs5 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I reinstalled, no luck.
my initiall 30 day trial of flash cs4 loaded but would not uninstall after the 30 days. eventually i just erased the folder in fruo worstration.later downloaded cs4 web premium package but setup.exe wouldnt work on it. redownloaded flash cs4 bout setup.exe didnt work. i get the swriling icon for a few seconds then it disappears and nothing happens. i notice it stilll running in the task manager hours later, but doesnt do anything.

Yesterday I installed OS X Lion on my iMac, and now my eyedropper tool in Flash is not working, and it is force quitting about every ten minutes. This is NOT good at all for me, as I am in the middle of an advanced Flash class at my college.
