View 2 RepliesI'm trying to use a motion path to make an object move around an arc, but for some reason if the path animation lasts for more than about 200 frames, it breaks the Orient to Path function.When it runs for more than 200, if you select Orient to Path, the object just retains its orientation while travelling along the path.

Having a problem with a little animation involving balloons floating in and then floating out again when a condition is met. There are two ways they can float in or out: from left to right, or completely randomly. I actually like it as coming in (left to right) and going out (random) but it's essentially up to the user.
Since I moved my Array sort code into the function that basically deals with telling the balloons to float off though, I've been having problems. Sometimes one or a couple of the balloons will not float off and I'm kind of boggled as to why. Because it works fine IF the Array sort part is outside this function, I'm wondering whether, when the for loop at the bottom starts running, the Array is still being sorted and that's why some balloons get left behind.

The SWF is 30px high but when you roll over some elements, the height can go up to 100px because some elements show up. What I want to do is to have div 30px high but when I roll over particular Flash elements, then the elements that should show up are not visible. I was wondering if there is a way to allow Flash to 'float out' of the div so the taller elements become visible when rolled over the Flash movie.

I set the iPhone to stay in a portrait orientation constantly by setting stage.autoOrients = false and stage.setOrientation( StageOrientation.DEFAULT ). However, the camera still displays as if the phone was flipped 90 degrees to the left. How can I change it so the program stays in portrait orientation and the camera is oriented correctly?
i have a scroller developed in as2. it basically scrolls continuously in a direction until the direction of the mouse is changed. the images of course loop in the continuous scroll. now the problem is that for 10-15 photos its ok. but when i feed it with 180 photos, it seems to show only 11. why would this be? any restriction on flash ??

Our 2 main languages are English and Hebrew. The problem is that for english we need to use LTR direction while in hebrew it is RTL.in a big flash application were the number of tlftextfields are big it is impossible for us to change the direction for individual tlftextfieldsin .

Is it possible to add drop shadow to plan views of vehicles (vehicles are png images as MovieClips) such that as the vehicles change direction along roads (also png images) the shadow is always cast to north west ot the vehicle ? Buildings in the base png image have shadows but vehicles also need them so as to belong to the scene and not appear false.
Is there control over opacity and softness ?
If I were to have plan views of humans walking would the shadows follow the leg movements ?

When I create a TLF text area that is editable at runtime (which means that it can get a user input at runtime) I set the text direction to the 'right-to-left' definition in both the 'container and flow' and the 'paragraph' sections and set the language for Arabic or Hebrew at the 'locale' setting. I also set the text alignment to the 'align to start' mode. Now at runtime there's a stange thing. When I try to click with the mouse cursor on the editable TLF text-box, it's not displaying the text icon cursor and don't allow me to insert text inside.
But when I move my mouse cursor over the right side of the editable TLF text box, it change his appearance to the familiar text cursor which indicate that if you click here you will be able to insert text input inside. So my problem is how can I make it that only when I will hover over the TLF text box itself, the mouse cursor will be changed to text cursor icon and when I will hover beside its right side, it will remain at the normal cursor mode.
I have an image and I want to add "hot spots" so when the user rolls over the area they get 3-4 boxes that pop up to display pictures or what ever. So far I can't figure out how to change th hit area once its expanded so the hit area would be small then expand with the boxes, then rolling outside the picture areas it would close.

I am converting my site into a fluid/floating flash site and I'm having just a couple of problems. First, when I re size the window, i need THE BROWSER to create a regular vertical (or horizontal) scrollbar when the window gets to small to display all of the information. Right now, it just cuts off my the main area of my site when the window is to small. I don't know if I disabled this in my AS3 or in my html, but I think it was the AS3

I would like to convert a hexadecimal number to its equivalent double precision floating point number. I couldn't find a function for this. Eg: hex='400a666666666666' floating point=3.3 I need double precision floating point as variable need to be signed with a large range.
