I'm trying to use a motion path to make an object move around an arc, but for some reason if the path animation lasts for more than about 200 frames, it breaks the Orient to Path function.When it runs for more than 200, if you select Orient to Path, the object just retains its orientation while travelling along the path.
I'm trying to load an as3 swf in another as3 swf,but it says it can't find a class that's being used in the swf that I'm trying to load.I want to know if I can specify the path of the class that's being used so that the swf can locate it when loaded to the main swf.Here's the error I get:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at ro.fwd.template::Main()
I tried scpecifying the path in the publish settings, but had no luck.
the raft floats along the river path, but once it makes the first turn,it is floating sideways to the riverI need the raft to turn to facedown river at each turn[URL]
I have a Flash project created in an earlier version that I'm opening in CS3. I'm trying to change one link, but it appears to be buried in code and I can't locate it and I need to change the link to an outside page.
I have a HTML stageholder, this calls a "mainMenu.swf" which essentially controls my site. This "mainMenu.swf" has three buttons: intro, portfolio and contact which are all individual movies. So far, all good... When I have clicked into the portfolio section a 3x3 grid loads with nine buttons, one of these buttons loads a preview page for four movies, when I load one of these movies it plays fine. What is the path to get the loadMovie command to jump back to the 3x3 grid page from this movie? Basically, what is the command to jump up a directory when using loadMovie?
I've been working on an iPhone app developed with Flash CS5 that will stream the camera view to a window on the app screen. The camera code is as follows:
cam.setMode(600, 400, 25); cam.setQuality(0, 100); vid = new Video();
[Code]....
I set the iPhone to stay in a portrait orientation constantly by setting stage.autoOrients = false and stage.setOrientation( StageOrientation.DEFAULT ). However, the camera still displays as if the phone was flipped 90 degrees to the left. How can I change it so the program stays in portrait orientation and the camera is oriented correctly?
Well i have an adobe air which runs vlc-player at background as service. i check that in Windows Task Manager , the service runs when air application launches. here is the code
processArgs.push("--extraintf"); processArgs.push("rc"); //Remote control processArgs.push("--rc-fake-tty"); //Use terminal as output
I want to call 3 commands one by one , the relation between each commands are command should execute one by one in the previous command result. How to Queue Command's? What is the best practice to handle Queue command , my requirement is adding n number of commands and execute them.Main -> Execute c1c1 got the Result - Execute c2c2 got the Result - Execute c3
So I've created a script where a mc is clicked on and the player can draw a path using the mouse. I'm trying to figure out how I can get the mc to follow the path drawn out by the player's mouse and when the player clicks again, it erases all of the path.my code is below
why the png function differs from jpeg in flash when the break command is put to use.when i import a logo png into flash and then go to modify>break apart all .the logo then has a rectangle full of black dots and i cant keep just the logoso its hard to remove and keep just the logo required.but importing a jpeg and then using the command modify>bitmap>trace bitmap i get a good result with none of those multiple black small dots.now what id like to know is,if a png can have the command=modify>bitmap>trace bitmap applied to it.i would have upload a file for better explanation but...they have been disabled for a while.
I have a command script (framesSelected.jsfl - the code isbelow) which outputs information about frames selected to theoutput panel, which I find very useful. With CS4 (Windows XP), whenI place the jsfl file in the (suggested in the manual) folder(C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Flash CS4enConfigurationCommands)I expect it to show in the command menu as it did in CS3. Itdoesn't. Can anybody tell me why, and what I must do now to get itto show? (script follows)
var current_tl = fl.getDocumentDOM().getTimeline(); var selectedFrames = current_tl.getSelectedFrames(); var selectedRegions = selectedFrames.length/3;
I'm looking for a plugin or command so I can swap all the colors in a selected symbol. the find and search thing doesnt quite do it well. It needs to affect anything in a group within that symbol. I was also wondering if there was a way to convert fills back to lines or if there is a plugin for that too. Ineed it for flash pro 8, I know its old.
Inherited some flash widgets that are developed in .fla format and exported to .swf apps, using Flash Pro CS5. I have only limited understanding of AS3 or 4, flex and flash in general, but I'm quickly becoming dangerous.
My bottom line problem is I need to find a command line tool to 'build' the .fla source into .swf entities. q1: are there any cmd line tools with the Flash Pro CS5 for such purpose? I cant seem to find any, but I may not be looking at the right places.
I know there's such a thing as the Flex SDK, but what's under Flash CS5 at "Adobe Flash CS5CommonConfigurationActionScript 3.0flex_sdk", doesn't seem to have anything useful in it, only a general flex library.
Another requirement I need to solve is to create customer specific, purpose built versions of the widget. From the Flash IDE, I can figure out how to replace the background images, etc., but.q2: how can I do this at export/build time and later on, via the command line tool?
Basically, a build/compile directive in source would allow the swf builder to replace a given image asset with the version I intend to build with.
I would like to know what's the exact command line used to install flash from swflash.cab. Seems that would be something like 'rundll32 advpack.dll...', and I know that FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER.EXE uses the switch RegServer from the .inf.
A completely silent command line would be nice to!
O.S.: Windows XP Professional SP3 and Windows Server 2003.
I don't really know that much about Commands in Flash, but I was thinking this could be a possible Command to create.See, I have this puppet made up of dozens of separate pieces, all on their own layers.It's very tedious to click on 10 different symbols in order to move the character's arm, for example.I was wondering if there was a way to create a JSFL command to select each of the 10 symbols on the stage.
I tried clicking each one, and saving the "Change Selection" actions from the History Panel as a Command, but that is location-based.As soon as I move those symbols to a new location, the command I saved no longer selects them.And I can't select the objects by layer or frame, because it doesn't seem to want to save those either.
I've searched all over to try and find a stroke function or a command after I have broken an object, but can't find anything. I want to apply a stroke to multiple frames. use the ink bottle, and do not suggest turning my symbol into a movie clip and adding a glow. This seems like it should be a simple function
I cannot recall where I go to specify the path direct to the FLV file from within Flash after placing the PlayBack component / skin over the movie on the stage. this is the last step before publishing the movie (in order to have embedded in an HTML page)?
I recently started to use flex and I'm having trouble with the debugger. Every time I try to run it in flash player, it says it can't locate my debugger. But I downloaded the flash player debugger from the Adobe website and put it in the library > internet plugins folder. I'm using flash player 9 on flex 3.
On my website I go to "movie explorer" and go through all the ActionScript and on the bar tab it does open upa moving vertical options (it shows up when I have it in swf or preview it) but while I am in Flash CS4 I can't find it....there are extra componentsin separate files inside the folders (mx) and (tm). It is not live on my site yet but what I am trying to do is have certain tabs go directly to a different webpage (not all of them to the flash tabs as specified) as you will see by visiting my site: [URL]
I have loaded an external .swf file on to the stage with multiple movieClips in it. From the main timline of which I load this external .swf file, I am moving the movieclip(s) around the stage (with the commands of the arrow key). On the main timeline I have this:
function this_function() { trace(mc_holder.village._x); }[code]....
When I trace the village on the onEnterFrame function, I am successful in viewing the value/position of the village in the in the external .swf file. However, if 'this_occurs' and I tell it to use the function 'this_function', where I tell it to trace the village again, it doesn't recongize the movieClip, or village. Instead of giving me a value, it just gives me 'undefined'. So why is it that the 'this_function' can't locate the external .swf file village?
I am one of a team of designers/coders and the team are a mix of PC and Mac users. The Flash version we work in is 8. We all take on each others Jobs from time to time and it's becoming a problem when we need to update media in the Library as the FLA can't find them. Is there a preference or system file that we need to change etc etc? I know we can manually locate the files but at present we are designing a JSFL that automatically updates, sizes our media within the FLA and the path issue is causing a problem.
after I create a motion tween, why is it that I don't always see the path of that tween? It seems that I've got to shuffle stuff around a bit before I actually see the colored path. Is there some trick to this?
I'm trying to write a plug-in for Flash CS5 that will display the "instances path" for a selected object. I'm trying to work with JSFL.I manged to get all selected objects using fl.getDocumentDOM().selection. I iterate over the array I get and look at the objects. I am able to get each of the objects' name. What I need to do is construct the "path" to that object (e.g., scene.scene.instance4.myText). Can anyone think of a way to do that? Is there a way to get the object that contains a certain object?
I realise that I need to keep all my code on the main timeline, so now I need some serious help with targeting movieclips and buttons, when I use the target path tool (the little gun sight in the action script panel) it lets me navigate to the thing I want, but when I use it's suggestion it very often doesn't work, and I am left using trial and error to work it out. Ican get stuff to work, but I really have no idea why or how I am doing it, Sorry to be such a N00B, but I really think if I can work this out I am going to get
I have a menu screen that for various reasons consists of a number of buttons as separate flash movies. When a button inside these movies is clicked, it is supposed to call a javascript function to move to the appropriate page. It works fine in firefox, but is currently failing in IE7. I don't have an IE6 handy to test on.This is the error I get in IE:[code]I can't locate what char 25 of line 1 might actually mean. I only get the error when I click on the button, and after installing Visual Web Developer to try and get some actual debugging, it doesn't seem to be actually firing the function that is called, so it seems like the error is happening in whatever mechanism actually makes ExternalInterface.call work?[code]
But as i said it doesn't even show up if I put a breakpoint here and debug it. If I put a javascript:gohere('id') link in the html screen and click that it works fine.I have ExternalInterface.call working in other parts of the same project, and can't for the life of me see any differences in the way it has been implemented.
