Mar 8, 2012I want to import a .SVG file that I made in Inkscape to Flash CS5.5 how do I do this? Do I need to install some type of plugin/extension?

Dec 24, 2010I need to import three pdf text files into my Flash CS4 for use in a project I am trying to complete but every time I try to import these pdf files to the library I get an error which reads "One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them". I am using Adobe Reader X, which is the latest reader available, Flash CS4 and Windows Vista Home Premium and I cannot understand why I cannot import pdf files to Flash.

Jun 25, 2010I am having one of those 'self doubt sanity' moments. Entering melt down here ! I want to make a movieclip from a graphic map background, and some existing movieClips that reside in another .fla
In this other .fla file the movieclips are in the wrong layer so by starting over I wish to tidy things up.
How do I create a movie clip from such ?
Then I start thinking, how does one create a movie clip, then bring it into another file ?
I even did a test that went:-
1) create new AS3 file
2) draw a box
3) select box and hit F8 Convert to symbol, select movieclip and name it box_movieclip
4) d/click box and made a classic tween and had box moving across stage.
5) save as and named file MovieClip_Boxtest.fla
6) open new file AS3 and import to library the BoxTween.fla and got a message saying One or more files not imported as problems reading them.
So having done the above stages 1 to 5 which made a movieclip, how do I get that into another fla file ?

Jan 13, 2010ok so ive converted a bunch of files into .flv but i cant seem to import them into flash. when i go to the import menu there is no import video option just open external library. after i've open external library it wants to open "all formats" but everything is greyed out. if I change it to "all files" I can open them but they wont play in the .swf file.

May 26, 2010I'm working on a project currently and need to import a large file FLV into flash. It's not over the 16000 frame issue as I've checked this. I'm in Flash CS4 and have an animation in 1080p res. It will import up to about 4653 frames fine but it will be only part of the complete file. Is there any way around this? We're using this as a cross platform container to alleviate video programs and compatibility issues for training. In the Publish settings we can export for Mac and windows options etc.

Professional :: Flash CS4 Crashes On Any Import?
Jan 24, 2011Everytime I attempt to import anything into Flash CS4 the application crashes. This happens when I try to import a single 14.0 KB file.I have tried to run in compatability mode but it crashes there too. I am currently running Windows XP SP3 and Adobe Flash CS4 version 10.0.2. I have tried to import them into an existing document as well as into a new document with the same issues. The import screen never pops up, there is a quick flash over the application screen and then the "The application Adobe Flash CS has unexpectedly quit" window appears.I need to do this multiple times through out the day to updates sites, and I am at a standstill until I can get this fixed.I know this happens alot and I hope there is somethign other than reinstalling to get it working again.

Jul 19, 2009can i have a transparent vedio file ( for example avi ) or any other accepted formats into flash ??? I'm using 3d studio to make some antimations and i need to add them on my flash movie and of course they should be transparent. if there is any way other than using a sequence of png image files (( which is a too stupid way because of the large number of frames )).

Jun 9, 2011So, it is possible to import a psd file to flash and have it all positioned correctly, if the PSD file is set to "Maximize PSD File Compability", however, the files(layers) does not appear in the XFL save in the LIBRARY folder, and the alpha and quality is horrific probably because the layer is taken from the composite layer, and not the real layer in PSDok, no need to worry yet, all we want is the correct position, that would save a lot of time, lets export the file from photoshop with the script, "export layers to file", then import the files in flash to the files we already imported and replace them in the flash library, Now this is where the problem arise, the file in the library, has some 'special treatment' done to it, and it is still not saved in the LIBRARY folder in the XFL save. Jun 17, 2010I created two custom class called fooClass.as and HelloClass.as Then I want to import both of these Custom Classes in my WorkSpace.fla file
so I do the following I open up my WorkSpace.fla file Press F9 to open up the actionScript panel in FrameOne LayerOne and I type in
import fooClass
import HelloClass
then I want to start using these two classes so I do the following
var work:fooClass = new fooClass();
var space:HelloClass = new HelloClass();
Technically speaking when I type in var work: I should see list of classes inside the library including my custom Class fooClass and HelloClass However after the colon I see other build in classes but not fooClass.
It works in CS5 but not CS4. How do I get to work it in CS4 so that I can use the custom class I created to show up in the library.
