View 2 RepliesI'm now working on a flash website, i need to play a youtube video inside my flash movie. In this Flash file i have a FLVPlayback component and i tried to link the youtube video into this but did'nt work.
View 1 RepliesIs it possible to upgrade just Flash from CS3 Web Premium?
View 2 RepliesI just installed CS5 Web Premium and took a movie, imported and exported with skin and html. [URL] It doesn't play, there is no skin. Everything is in the root directory - the SkinOverAll.swf, RooftopRites.swf. I don't see an embed statement in the HTML. Shouldn't there be one?
View 19 RepliesI am trying to learn Flash Professional from the CS5 Design Premium programs. I have the Adobe CS5 Design Premium Digital Classroom to go along with the programs. One of the classroom projects is to add TLF text to your graphics. But it doesn't work. I can get the Classic Text to work but this is no use to other lessons when most refer to the TLF text. Even one lesson file you open has the completed work that you are to refer to and the text is not showing up in it. I have Windows 7, Flashplayer 10, and ActionScript 3.0.
View 6 RepliesOn my old computer (Windows XP) I was using Flashpaper to convert jpg files to swf files that can be panned and zoomed. It worked great for my website. Here is an example. [URL] I just purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium for my new computer (Windows 7). I was told that it included the ability of Flashpaper to create the pan/zoom swf files. I can't find this ability. Please tell me where it is located or that I need to purchase Flashpaper for my new computer. Please note, I use Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, but the only Flash I use is the swf to pan and zoom via Flashpaper. Please keep this in mind when answering my question, i.e. I probably need specifics if the functionality is located in Flash.
View 1 RepliesI`m using flash cs3 for my works , but i have one problem!when i use File=> Import=> Import to Library... or Import to Stage...the flash environment becomes terminated.I changed my flash version to CS4 and I have this problem again.
View 2 RepliesHow to embed a YouTube video file in particular place of my Flash project, should I do this in action panel or in final html file. Here is exactly what I'd like to do: On this website [URL] under 'Film' panel I have some movie samples, and after clicking buttons on right side I'd like to play embedded YouTube clips instead of flv.samples uploaded to my ftp. as it takes too long for customers to download them.
View 3 RepliesWhat do i specify in the "Source" field? Must it be the FLA file of the SWF file i'm importing? Or can it be left blank?
View 6 RepliesI would like to import a youtube video to Macromedia Flash CS4.
I follow the steps: File-> Import-> Import Video and put the URL and press Next, but Macromedia doesn't accept it.
It appears the following message: "NetStream.Play.FileStructureInvalid: Adobe Flash cannot import files that have invalid file structures."
What could I do? Am I obligated to download it to .flv file and upload it to another server?
Can you import a .dwf file into flash?
View 2 RepliesI want to import a .SVG file that I made in Inkscape to Flash CS5.5 how do I do this? Do I need to install some type of plugin/extension?

View 1 RepliesI am having one of those 'self doubt sanity' moments. Entering melt down here ! I want to make a movieclip from a graphic map background, and some existing movieClips that reside in another .fla
In this other .fla file the movieclips are in the wrong layer so by starting over I wish to tidy things up.
How do I create a movie clip from such ?
Then I start thinking, how does one create a movie clip, then bring it into another file ?
I even did a test that went:-
1) create new AS3 file
2) draw a box
3) select box and hit F8 Convert to symbol, select movieclip and name it box_movieclip
4) d/click box and made a classic tween and had box moving across stage.
5) save as and named file MovieClip_Boxtest.fla
6) open new file AS3 and import to library the BoxTween.fla and got a message saying One or more files not imported as problems reading them.
So having done the above stages 1 to 5 which made a movieclip, how do I get that into another fla file ?
I need to import three pdf text files into my Flash CS4 for use in a project I am trying to complete but every time I try to import these pdf files to the library I get an error which reads "One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them". I am using Adobe Reader X, which is the latest reader available, Flash CS4 and Windows Vista Home Premium and I cannot understand why I cannot import pdf files to Flash.
View 1 RepliesI went to adobe site. It have Flash Builder 4.5/4.6 now. where I can download older version(4.0)?
View 2 RepliesWe have been building our Flex app forever using Maven. Due to the fact that we use RIATest for integration testing we need to create a special test version of the app with the RIATest agent compiled in it and with the Flex automation libraries available. Apparently for the latter we need to provide the flex compiler with our license since this is only available from a version higher than Standard.
Up until Flex 4.0 and RIATest 3.8 this worked fine, we had our license information defined in a flex-config file in the user home directory. However currently with the combination Flex 4.5 and RIATest 4 we are having problems, the tests always fail with "License not present. With the trial version only limited replays are allowed."
We have tried multiple variations of defining the license key for Flashbuilder 4.5 but we have had no success. Currently our flexmojo configuration in the POM references an external flex-config file and there we try to define the license key.
Created an mp3 player that works fine, but i need the track name, artist name, track timer, to be shown aswell?and i dont have a clue how do go about doing this.
View 2 RepliesWhenever a youtube or any other flash content is buffered on the browser, isn't it true that is downloaded to the client computer ? So my assumption is that, any completely buffered youtube file should be found on my client right ? For example, when i view this video on youtube, i see that it is actually referring to this swf location [URL] How does youtube actually buffer this video on my computer then ?
Note: My objective is NOT to download youtube videos as i know there are extensions available for it. I just want to know how it works :) .
I am still new to AS. Looking for a detailed tutorial/explanation on adding/embeding a youtube video to flash. If anybody has a descent example that would work too. Also i would like the youtube video to play in the flash file.
View 1 Repliesi tryed to convert it but every time i put the swf into a converter it fails to load, what do i need to do to convert it and upload it to youtube?
View 2 RepliesI have trying to use this sample FLA from google to embed youtube videos in my flash doc but, when I publish the file it comes up blank with no errors.
View 5 RepliesI wanted to know if this is possible. On my site I want to play youtube videos from my account from youtube. Basically, there will be an empty text box. Users will type in some text. Click on a button to search and play a random video based off tags associated with a video from my youtube account with the words from the text box? And if they did the same search it wouldn't play the same video again?

View 2 RepliesIs it possible to embedd a youtube movie inside a swf? using loadmovie() maybe?i thought it would be easy but here is the code you receieve when embedding into an HTML file...Quote:
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-jW1vWgogLQ"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-jW1vWgogLQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"

I have been trying to embed a video from youtube into an SWF file. I have been looking at the various posts here and I found this actionscript code:
System.security.allowDomain("YOUTUBE DOMAIN would go here");
System.security.loadPolicyFile("YOUTUBEDOMAIN would go here/crossdomain.xml");
this.createEmptyMovieClip("video_mc", 10000);
this.video_mc.loadMovie
("I had to remove this link so I could post it normally would have the youtube link to the video file");
I created a movie instance on my stage and called it video_mc and pasted the code into a frame.
When I press ctrl and enter to test the flash document I get my page as expected and the youtube video appears,however I get the following message:
'*** Security Sandbox Violation ***
Connection to null halted - not permitted 'I had to remove this link so I could post this on this forum -my post count is less than 50- normally would have the youtube link to the video file
-- Remote SWFs may not access local files.'
have been trying to extract information from this file on YouTube using AS3. I have managed to access ytID (YouTube video ID) along with the ytName (YouTube video name) from a specific channel (called through the loader). I am stumped on how to get the thumbnail URL. I have managed to find out that through YouTube, its tag is media:thumbnail, however, Flash gives me an error for trying to use a semicolon.
Code:
stop();
var xml:XML;
var videoDisplayLimit:Number = 1;[code]....
I'm back in video after a decade long absence and I'm completely new to YouTube because I've been living on a continent that rarely even has Internet. I've got some old footage I need to put on YouTube, but YouTube's specs are a bit contradictory at times.Starting from the get go, I have several questions and I hope you can point me in the right direction. It sounds like an FLV file is what I should go for, so I'll base my questions on that. Don't hesitate to answer between the lines. And don't hesitate to tell me to change tracks.
The most clear export I can make from my old Avid editing program is an uncompressed QuickTime movie. I can't find anything in the YouTube specs about QuickTime moives. They don't say they're good. They don't say they're bad. Can I convert to an FLV file and upload to YouTube with good results? When I export non-HD material from my editing program, what frame size do I export?When I convert to an FLV file, what size do I re-size to? Or does YouTube resize whatever I send to them to the right size?When I convert to an FLV file, what's a reasonable bitrate for video? How about audio?Or do I even need to bother with the above? In one YouTube information sheet, it sounded like I could just upload a plain old MPEG2 file and YouTube would go from there. Correct or not?What's the benefit of an alpha channel? It seems like the files get smaller, but I can't get them to play at all after I've ticked alpha.I'm using Avid Xpress Pro 4.3 and have access to both AVS and TMPG 3 for MPEG conversion. I'm using CS3 from Adobe.
