Basically, I am using Flex 3, for past 2-3 days whenever I launch any Project or debug it, I get the message box saying "Flex Builder requires a more recent version of Flash Player." It says my curent FP as 9.0.115.0 and debug version as 9.0.45.0. However, my actual FP version if FP 10.0.22.87. I don't understand why this confussion! It says redirect loop, i tried to dload on firefox and google chrome, internet explorer does not work on my comp. Sep 21, 2011I downloaded the trial version so I could work on the final project for class but for some reason when I tried to save it my computer froze up. Is this because the save feature is turned off for the trial version or was it just my computer? If I can't save using the trial version than I wasted memory on my computer and a lot of my time downloading the trial version that isn't going to be very useful to me.

Dec 3, 2010I updated the flash library XML/SWF (chart library) to the latest version on my web application but the users still see the charts with the old library which is saved in there browser cache.How can I force the browsers of my users to download the latest version of the SWF files.I can't add a parameter at the end of the SWF file like : charts.swf?v=1234.
If I do that I get an error because the chart library load dynamically other SWF files of the library. The charts.swf file will be the new version but the other files will still be from the older version and I will get an error...

May 30, 2011I was going to download the trial version of Flash Professional CS5.5 but when I got to the download page it wasn't downloading. The "Download now" button was there, but it was unclickable, when I clicked on it it didn't work, plus it was a little dimmer than I remember it was when I downloaded another trial. I'm also using the latest version of Google Chrome and I tried downloading it on IE and Firefox.So, is there any solution to this?

Flex :: Flashbuilder 4.5 Premium License For A Maven Flexmojo Based Build?
Aug 9, 2011We have been building our Flex app forever using Maven. Due to the fact that we use RIATest for integration testing we need to create a special test version of the app with the RIATest agent compiled in it and with the Flex automation libraries available. Apparently for the latter we need to provide the flex compiler with our license since this is only available from a version higher than Standard.
Up until Flex 4.0 and RIATest 3.8 this worked fine, we had our license information defined in a flex-config file in the user home directory. However currently with the combination Flex 4.5 and RIATest 4 we are having problems, the tests always fail with "License not present. With the trial version only limited replays are allowed."
We have tried multiple variations of defining the license key for Flashbuilder 4.5 but we have had no success. Currently our flexmojo configuration in the POM references an external flex-config file and there we try to define the license key.

Bottom line is I don't always need to peer into SWC's, and I don't like having a 'default package' automatically created for me. Not sure why the interface wasn't made simpler, allowing access to more power and complexity only if necessary. I want to focus on the code, not on how to navigate and use the bells and whistles in the coding environment.

Oct 6, 2009I just upgraded to Flash Builder 4 (beta 2) from Flex Builder 3 which I have been using since it came out. Problem: All the projects that were in my workspace from Flex Builder 3 did not carry over into Flash Builder 4 (e.g. in the "Flex Navigator" view if FB3). Flash Builder 4 now uses the .FXP format to manage projects, but Flex Builder 3 did not. Is there an easy way to get all my projects back into Flash Builder 4?

Jan 9, 2011I am trying to learn Flash Professional from the CS5 Design Premium programs. I have the Adobe CS5 Design Premium Digital Classroom to go along with the programs. One of the classroom projects is to add TLF text to your graphics. But it doesn't work. I can get the Classic Text to work but this is no use to other lessons when most refer to the TLF text. Even one lesson file you open has the completed work that you are to refer to and the text is not showing up in it. I have Windows 7, Flashplayer 10, and ActionScript 3.0.
