Professional :: Movie Doesn't Play - CS5 Web Premium
Jun 11, 2010
I just installed CS5 Web Premium and took a movie, imported and exported with skin and html. [URL] It doesn't play, there is no skin. Everything is in the root directory - the SkinOverAll.swf, RooftopRites.swf. I don't see an embed statement in the HTML. Shouldn't there be one?
I am trying to learn Flash Professional from the CS5 Design Premium programs. I have the Adobe CS5 Design Premium Digital Classroom to go along with the programs. One of the classroom projects is to add TLF text to your graphics. But it doesn't work. I can get the Classic Text to work but this is no use to other lessons when most refer to the TLF text. Even one lesson file you open has the completed work that you are to refer to and the text is not showing up in it. I have Windows 7, Flashplayer 10, and ActionScript 3.0.
On my old computer (Windows XP) I was using Flashpaper to convert jpg files to swf files that can be panned and zoomed. It worked great for my website. Here is an example. [URL] I just purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium for my new computer (Windows 7). I was told that it included the ability of Flashpaper to create the pan/zoom swf files. I can't find this ability. Please tell me where it is located or that I need to purchase Flashpaper for my new computer. Please note, I use Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, but the only Flash I use is the swf to pan and zoom via Flashpaper. Please keep this in mind when answering my question, i.e. I probably need specifics if the functionality is located in Flash.
I just updated to CS5 - I'm working on a custom video player. It works fine embedded in a web page both locally and on the network. It works fine in the debug player. However, when I test it in the authoring player I get a NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound error and no video. I have tried setting the Local Playback Security publish settings to both local and network - doesn't find the video either way.
It used to run fine in CS4 in the authoring environment.
im having problems with my swf file,its not playing on the web,my video is a flv i save it a swf when i export it and it wont play. it plays pefect on my desktop though.
I have a 3,5 MB .swf file on my webpage it works perfectly well in firefox. But in internet explorer it doesnt seem to play. My guess is that IE uploads the whole .swf file before playing it. Can anyone here tell me how to let it work in IE as well?
I've made a file in photoshop with layer. I brought it into flash. I created the movie and it plays but when I want to use the "test movie" feat. it does nothing. The graphics come up but no movement. I exported it as an .swf file but still no luck.
I got a flash file (.fla) from an acquaintance who was trying to help me with a project. It's just 4 checkboxes that I'm using with Articulate Presenter for an e-Learning program I'm creating The issue is that Articulate doesn't play well with references to either _level0 or _root.The acquaintance isn't available to help me unfortunately, so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to changing those references to something that Articulate won't freak out about.I'm only a couple of days into my Adobe trial for Flash, and the classes I'm intending on taking don't start for another two months.
When I export my flash movie to be hosted then embed it on my site (myspace) the flash banner(no controls) doesn't AutoPlay. I checked and unchecked Paused at Start in the publish settings, published and exported, but both times when I hover/click on the blank/unloaded movie the menu shows the Play option unchecked. My file has a preloader and the movie/content starts on frame 2. I have CS4/AS3.have the movie autopaly on it own. (I wish Adobe would have named the option Autoplay instead of Paused at Start,I wonder who came up with that).Here's my code:
Code: Select allstop(); var l:Loader = new Loader(); l.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, loop);
I created a website in Flash, published it, and uploaded the swf and html file to the server. When bringing up the website Flash doesn't play automatically. I first must right click and select play. When I was testing my flash site on another server, it worked great and played automatically. Is there something within flash that I need to modify or is this an issue with the server?
I used a preloader to play an external movie that loops. Both files are uploaded to a site. When I open the preloader in my browser the first time, everything works fine. The preloader loads correctly and plays the external movie automatically, which continues to loop correctly. So no problems so far.
Now, here's where problems begins:
If I refresh the browser or close it, and try to view the preloader/external movie again, nothing gets shown. I can manually play the external movie by right-clicking and selecting Play from the menu.
The only other way I can view the preloader/external movie again is if I delete the preloader from the cache and refresh/restart the browser.
My external movie does not have a stop in the first frame and it is uneditable so I can't add that in. However, the preloader should start playing the external movie when it is in the cache.
Here is the script in the preloader:
Frame 1:
Code: mcLoader = new MovieClipLoader (); loadListener = new Object (); mcLoader.addListener(loadListener);
I have an mp3 exported for actionscript with the linkage name bgmusic.When I play the sound using a sound object, it works fine.However, I take that same .swf and load it into another movie and the thing breaks... the sound doesn't play.How do I fix the linkage so that it'll play again?
I made a 'movie' in Premiere and exported as FLV., Its suppose to be a banner on the top of a web page. The site was made with Dreamweaver. When played locally, the banner does great. When I put it on the server, thats a different story. I can tell thats something is there because it loads the background color of the flash file but it doesn't play the FLV.
I created a button symbol on the bottom layer, then added action script code in the first frame on the top layer. Clicked 'test movie' so that I could click the button to generate the code:
my_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick); function onClick(e:MouseEvent):void { trace("The event handler works!"); }
The movie won't test. How would I fix this to work.
I'm trying to add a line to a movie clip. When I trace the width of the lineadded it traces correctly, but the line doesn't appear. If I do everything the same but add the line to the stage instead of the movie clip it does appear. I know this is one of those cases where I can't see the forest fro the trees but
Here's the relevant code: var xAxis = new Shape(); graph_mc.addChild(xAxis); xAxis.graphics.lineStyle(2, 0x000000, 1) xAxis.graphics.moveTo(startX, startY); xAxis.graphics.lineTo(maxX, startY) xAxis.name =
I would like to create play/pause movie controls that for different flv files.I do not want to use skins but have the controls as part of the movie/video.Can anyone point me to a tutorial source that will help me design these?
I just created a new site that hasnt launched yet. The scene is a city scape with water beneathe. In the water I want to have a fish that bobs up and down slightly on mouseover. I have the movie created
I know I have to make a button and i just copied the initial stage of the movie and converted that into a button.

I have a Logo.swf file which play once and stops. I want to use this flash movie in another flash project using LOADER. What actually I need is, I want to play this movie every 10 seconds interval using Actionscript 3.
So I haven't done much in flash in a while. However, I imported a new movie and then published the movie from flash and made an html page as well. For some reason I can not see the movie when I go to the page.
I bought Macromedia Flash because I took course in Flash about 8 years ago. So,when I was asked by my company's CEO to take a presentation and turn it into a "flash movie" I said, "sure I can do that". Well, I did do it, and it plays fine on the workstation that I created it on with "Macromedia Flash Player 8. However, no one else can get it to play except by opening it with a browser, which is not really ideal for our proposed usage. Is there some sort of desktop player still available that would allow someone (like a sales guy) to just double click on an icon and play this movie? Or is there some sort of way that i can update the movie so there is a desktop player to launch it?
So I used flash for some relatively extensive movies back in the MX days, but haven't done much with it since. I'm trying to build a relatively simple movie now in the newest version of the software, but I'm having some trouble.I want to create various smaller movie clips with animations in them, then drop them into the main timeline and have them animate automatically when the playhead hits them. However, when I view the movie (or test it) all I get is the first frame, they don't animate.Did I set up the document wrong or something, or is this something basic I missed in the newer versions? Is there a better way to structure this?
I am migrating from Flash MX to Flash CS5 Pro. Is there a way to load a movie into the flash player and play it to a viewer without installing the adobe server software and the price that goes with it? Is there a way to just have the movie file stored on the server and just get the flash player to call the file and buffer it?
