View 8 RepliesI have a 3,5 MB .swf file on my webpage it works perfectly well in firefox. But in internet explorer it doesnt seem to play. My guess is that IE uploads the whole .swf file before playing it. Can anyone here tell me how to let it work in IE as well?
View 6 RepliesI made a 'movie' in Premiere and exported as FLV., Its suppose to be a banner on the top of a web page. The site was made with Dreamweaver. When played locally, the banner does great. When I put it on the server, thats a different story. I can tell thats something is there because it loads the background color of the flash file but it doesn't play the FLV.
View 1 RepliesI just updated to CS5 - I'm working on a custom video player. It works fine embedded in a web page both locally and on the network. It works fine in the debug player. However, when I test it in the authoring player I get a NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound error and no video. I have tried setting the Local Playback Security publish settings to both local and network - doesn't find the video either way.
It used to run fine in CS4 in the authoring environment.
One of the .mov video file doesn't play in my flvplayer component. While other play as desired. Any clue what may be the reason and how to play that .mov file without conversion to .flv
View 2 RepliesI just installed CS5 Web Premium and took a movie, imported and exported with skin and html. [URL] It doesn't play, there is no skin. Everything is in the root directory - the SkinOverAll.swf, RooftopRites.swf. I don't see an embed statement in the HTML. Shouldn't there be one?
View 19 RepliesI've made a file in photoshop with layer. I brought it into flash. I created the movie and it plays but when I want to use the "test movie" feat. it does nothing. The graphics come up but no movement. I exported it as an .swf file but still no luck.

I got a flash file (.fla) from an acquaintance who was trying to help me with a project. It's just 4 checkboxes that I'm using with Articulate Presenter for an e-Learning program I'm creating The issue is that Articulate doesn't play well with references to either _level0 or _root.The acquaintance isn't available to help me unfortunately, so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to changing those references to something that Articulate won't freak out about.I'm only a couple of days into my Adobe trial for Flash, and the classes I'm intending on taking don't start for another two months.
View 5 RepliesI am developing an application for android 3.0 tablet, that's supposed to play swf files inside a WebView.First I tried to open the swf file from the device, than through the internet, with no luck. The WebView shows up, but inside the WebView all I can see is a black screen (with a 3-4 px wide white line on the right). If I load the same URL to the device browser, the flash file plays well.I think Im missing something on the WebView setup, but after a few hours of searching and googling I still dont know what. The Java code:

View 3 RepliesI created a website in Flash, published it, and uploaded the swf and html file to the server. When bringing up the website Flash doesn't play automatically. I first must right click and select play. When I was testing my flash site on another server, it worked great and played automatically. Is there something within flash that I need to modify or is this an issue with the server?

View 23 RepliesI have a slash template that I will be inserting video into, the template is set up for a .flv file ? what would I change in Dreamweaver or Coda to edit this file so that it can play video with a .swf file instead of a .flv file? here is the template
<dat video="dat/Images/Folio/video.jpg" title="sample" des="video samples" flvPath="dat/Videos/test.flv"/>
I want to change this to test.swf instead of test.flv
I'm making videos for an instructional program. This involves importing audio, images, animating those images, etc. I'll be exporting to flv format at the end, and then converting them to MP4 for downloads online.H
1.) Should I be using ActionScript 3.0 or ActionScript 2.0 for this?
2.) When I try to import audio, the whole audio file doesn't show up immediately in a new layer that I've created. It only goes in the blank keyframe that I've inserted. How do I import the audio so that the entirety of it shows up?
I have a big problem - I decided to make a website using flash as I am good with photoshop and thought it would be fairly easy to construct in flash using tutorials. All went well except now the website is published, weird things happen. The homepage works fine but when you click on "portfolio" some of the buttons don't appear and when you try the buttons, some images don't appear. Occasionally some of the buttons take you to the wrong place also. When I test the movie in flash, everything works fine so I can't work it out. I am a complete novice so advice will have to be spelt out in black and white.
View 2 RepliesOn the homepage [URL] I had a previously installed .swf that works fine on IE, Firefox etc...I added a new .swf "testimonials" on the page on right hand side but it will only work in IE?

Using Flash CS4 and having the Flash plug-in ver 10 on my PC, the generated html file will not play the swf in the browser.I noticed that the active-x javascript is now included in the header as well as the javascript portion in the body tag.But it won't play. I get the typical blank window in IE with the "X" in the upper left corner.I don't have this problem with Flash CS3.
View 10 Repliesi have succesfully managed to encode / create an .FLV file which now plays back in my .swf file. The picture and sound are great when streaming off the web!
how do i command the file to play back in a continous loop? at present it plays and then rewinds back to the begining.
i have investigated some of the .FLV parameters but can't seem to find the control / command i'm looking for.

View 1 RepliesI'm just wondering why my swf files won't play when I upload them along with my HTML file to the server.
The problem can be seen at the following [url]... Can't get my embedded swf files to play in HTML file
I inserted the swf in 'insert media' - 'shockwave' and the thing works when I press play to view it within dreamweaver. However, when I try to view it on a browser, either locally or remotely, it doesn't work.
I am trying to import a video in to flash. I have converted it to a flv and used the stream from flash media server option and selected a standard play and stop bar. I have imported it in and it works find when you just select the individual swf that it loads into. The problem im having is that when I go to it through the home page, all the page loads apart from the video. I've tried moving it around, moving where all the assets to the video are etc. I know the file structure is important to this working. I have a main folder called interactive / and in that have a FLA and a SWF folder and the swf and fla home page. Currently I have the the video swf in the swf folder with the flv and the play and stop swf.
View 7 RepliesI have a flash file with about 20 different scenes in it. And in one of the scenes there is an audio file that is 15 seconds long. The sound is on a menu page so i only want it in that scene. But if you are on that page for less than 15 seconds and go to another page then it carries on the sound into the next scene and if you go to and from the menu page to another scenes in quick succession you get a build up of sound which is horrible.
View 1 RepliesI'm working on a project that I want to export as a .avi file. I'm using Flash 8. I can go through the steps of exporting the movie fine, but once I try to play it in Windows Media Player, I get this error:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."
I've tried playing it in VLC and DIVX player as well I got similar error messages. This is a time sensative project,
I created a flash video with interactive menus using Encore. The .swf file played fine from my laptop computer.I copied the .swf file and its associated files to a micro SD card and tried to play it from a Samsung Galaxy Tab (7 inch tablet, Wifi only version) but it would not play.I searched the web and it appears that the Galaxy Tab will play flash videos off the web, but will not play them off-line (that is, stored on the device locally). I want to preserve the interactive menus. My goal is to be able to play videos with menus, off a small 7" tablet with a bright and contrasty display Overall, I liked to Samsung Galaxy Tab, but I returned it when I could not figure out how to play .swf videos stored on its local memory.
