Now if I start the application the MyComp-component is about 200px wide and starts to expand its width to infinity. This is like some transition or animation and I don't know how to stop it. Setting something like maxWidth would solve the issue, but I don't want to set explicit values.

Feb 8, 2011The project I'm working on has a massive background image (800px wide by 2585px tall) that slowly scrolls upwards. Before, I was using the code [URL].. I modified the code to scroll upwards, but in addition to having a weird intermittent bug that occasionally displays a pixel-tall blank line after the image and before looping the next, it really doesn't seem to handle dynamic loading well (I've tried using several different preloader scripts and it breaks all of them), something that may not have been an issue with the initial implementation but is now that I'm using a monstrously huge image.
Thus, my question: a. Is there another bit of free, Flash-based infinite scroll code floating around that has support for lazy-loading background objects (Say, the existing background chopped in 6)?

Actionscript 3 :: Infinite Horizontal Scroll At Constant Speed Using TweenLite?
Jan 24, 2012I need to do an endless horizontal scroll of elements within a parent MovieClip.No matter what ever method I try, an element of 'drift' occurs and eventually the elements start to overlap.I've tried using relative recursive tweening for each element according but this method seems prone to quite a bit of error after repeated starts and stops.

Professional :: CS5 Mouse Scroll Up Jumps Full Page?
Mar 13, 2011When drawing on the stage, any upward movement of my scroll wheel scrolls the screen by at least half a screen width, if not more. Scrolling down works as normal, equivilent to a few lines at a time.This problem seems to only exist in Adobe Flash. No issue in Chrome, Adobe Reader, Inkscape or any other program I've run. I've attempted to adjust the mouse settings, but they have no effect. Even disabling verticle scroll does not nothing. Currently I'm using a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 6000 with Windows 7. I've tried using other mice and they've suffered the same fate. I've also tried updating the drivers as well as cleaning them out and reinstalling them. Nothing works. I've googled and searched these forums but have found nothing related to this.

Jul 1, 2011I've been building an "infinite menu" using script from a tutorial that I found and modified. The original script allows users to scroll through a series of pictures (contained in a movieclip) by moving their cursor either to the left or the right of the center of the menu- the farther from the center, the faster the menu scrolls.I added functions that cause the menu to stop scrolling when the cursor leaves the animation. However, I want the menu to decelerate smoothly, starting from whatever rate it was moving at when the mouse out event occurred and finishing at a stand still, and this is where I'm having some Serious Issues.
I've managed to make it work correctly for the first time the mouse out event occurs, but whenever I mouse on and then mouse out again the images move at (apparently) random speeds and directions. At this point I don't even have a guess at what could be causing this, much less how to fix itI realize my code is probably not as clean or streamlined as it could be- I'm still pretty new to this whole AS thing. I hope it's clear enough for you all to understand easily enough.

Feb 8, 2007I made the tutorial for the Infinite menu. The menu in reality goes from the left edge to the right edge of the stage, but I have masqued it so that it only appears on the left side of the stage where I want it to be. I also changed the anchorpoint of the animation, so that the anchor is on the midpoint of the left half of the stage, instead of the midpoint of the whole stage. Everything works, but when you drag the mouse over the right side of the stage where the menu is hidden, the scrolling increases in speed.
Is there a way of telling the mouse pointer action to stop when the mouse reaches a certain part of the stage, instead of at the actual edge of the stage?

i did the tutorial but something is wrong cuz when i created my own little sliding thingy and i put my mouse so it slides left or right on the right side it cuts off a bit when going infinite.I think its something to do with the positioning of my menu because its not on x=0 its on x=120.8 and i was trying to work out how to fix it but i'm stuck...and when i move the menu to x=0 it works nicely.

Professional :: Flash - Site Shows Infinite Loading Time?
Jun 23, 2010I am having an issue with my recently created flash site. I have loaded and tested this site on many different computers. There is a preloader which shows percentage of site loaded and bytes loaded. As far as I am concerned everything works great. When the owner of the company I designed the site for goes to check out things he gets an infinite load percentage and the site never shows up, only the preloader screen with an "infinite" percentage. The only difference between his setup and mine is he uses AOL online.?
