Actionscript 3 :: Play Video On Air Mobile App?

I am trying to get and air application to play a video smoothly on a android device. I am using flex 4.6.0 and flash builder 4.6.Does anyone know of any working examples that play local video (videos that are built into the app) and are high quality that doesn't stutter? Should I be building all of my app in as3 and not be using flex? What are people using to show high quality videos in air mobile projects?I am building this for the eee transformer prime. Any time i play a video throw my app even if it using stage video I is jumpy and stutters if i play it just on the tablet it works fine.Are other people running into the same problems I'm running into?

I trying to play a flv file in a flex mobile (flex 4.6) The files will all be locally stored and on the device. Would it be better to use the video even if it is not supported or can i use a movieClip? I am going to try and fade out a picture and then play the video with out any user controls and then fade back to the picture. The this will all be on a tablet. I am using Flash Builder 4.6.

Just about 2 weeks ago i got my HTC p3600 (mobile phone/pda) with Win Mobile 5 installed. Now i like to play .flv files but i can't get it to work. Things i tried: - Yes i googled and came up with the tcpmp player with 2 plugins, but i can't get it to work. - surfed to the flash site on adobe. but it didn't redirect me to a flash player download.

I'm looking to duplicate the video-embedding technique shown on [URL], whereby they show the flash video to all platforms where flash is available, and only show the HTML5 player on mobile devices. (specifically, iphone / ipad)
Is there a browser-sniffing framework, or some other method available to accomplish this?

I am not able to play video on mobile device which is .3gp container and H.263 / AMR_NB encoded. I just want to play my website videos in mobile device also just like[url]....I want to use RTMP and HTTP both. My requirement is as follows - Which codec and container will be best? Should I use FLV to play video on mobile device? RTSP required or can be use RTMP? Is NetStream and NetConnection methods different from Flash Player in Flash Lite Player? I tried to apply a filter to a video on mobile phones and had a strange effect:
When I apply the filter to a 24 FPS source video the resulting frame-rate after applying the filter drops to about 7 FPS. But if I use a 8 FPS source video the frame-rate is even lower at about 3-4 FPS. I expected an higher, or at least equal resulting framer-rate with the 8 FPS source video. What's the reason for this behavior?
I use the Flash Player 10.1 for Android 2.2 and the Google Nexus One.

I'm having a hard time finding information on the best way to deliver video to mobile apps built in Flash CS5.5.
I'm working on an iPad app using AIR for iOS and I'm wondering how I call on video files basic controls.
The app I'm working on is just a mobile presentation for our studio's production work, so I just want to be able to add our showreel and some other videos of work we've done.

I have a "video on demand" video that I'd like to seek at any point of the video. It's playing on a Motorola Xoom tablet. I can seek to the beginning of the video when the playhead is near the beginning. However, if I the playhead is towards the end of the video and I attempt to seek to the beginning of the video, the video seeks many seconds after the start of the video. I thought this might be a buffering issue, so I set inBufferSeek to true, but I still have the same issue.

Is there any way to embed YouTube video/video player into Android Flex AIR Mobile application?
I tried to use SWFLoader(...) but since its MX library class only works on the desktop runtime environment, but fails to work on actual Android device when debugging the application.
Maybe it's possible to embed HTML that contain YouTube video into some Flex media container like TextArea or something?

- Is there a benefit to hosting FLV files on a Flash Media Server when they are under 2-3 minutes?I've been working on a couple different video projects as of late... some are simple web player with 30 second ads and others are working with longer videos like 2-3 minutes. I currently have an FLV hosting provider running Flash Media Server but with videos so small don't they download for the user as progressive anyway and there is no real benefit whether I am using my FLV host or my traditional web host?
i also use a separate video hosting company to handle my mobile videos mainly because I am a bit naive on how that works as well. I had a project with straight links to play video on mobile phones (with three different version served up based on OS). But it seems like most of those were progressive downloads as well.

The stop button plays as expected. The play/pause button plays as expected. The issue is when you press pause which will cause the play button to appear, then press stop. the video automatically plays and it shouldn't. I have bolded the control button script for convenience.

Why does my swf's skin referenced by a simple component FLA work locally but NOT live? There's no AS3 in the component FLA. It's just a one-layer component referenced to the the FLV. When I test locally, IN FLASH CS4 ONLY, and click on "Animalia - Verse From the Zoo" the FLV and skin load and the video (source FLV - "Sequence01.flv") plays. But the same thing live only loads the swf for the FLV file area but NO SKIN. Try it yourself, please:Has anyone had this problem and knows the solution? All files are in the SAME FOLDER on the web server. I've tried every URL and path combination I can think of on the website. I've tried referencing the whole URL.
Yet whatever path combination I try, either nothing happens, or I just get the FLV box but no skin. Which is what's happening now. Publish settings are set to Flash Player 10 for all files. And I've tried the component SWF WITH and WITHOUT the fl.video package (import fl.video.*. No difference. Why does the skin load and play locally but not live? It's all AS3. No AS2. And it does not seem to be a "publish settings" issue as far as I can see. The relevant code in my API is:

I am wanting to play a number of movie clips and flash produced video clips. On the main timeline I have a frame for each clip I want to play. In that frame is a flash movie that contains the video that I have embedded onto the timeline for the movie. The filesize for this project is massive and I am struggling to work on the file. I want to be able to play the video files with the playback component in each of the frames where the video was.

I have a grails application using jquery mobile. I am hoping to find some way to access the camera on the devices. I thought about using flash to grab the webcam but that obviously wont work on Apple devices. Does anyone know of a way to do it and keep it all browser based? I am hoping that there is a plugin somewhere or maybe html5 has some magic in there that supports it.

I have 1 flv with only 12 seconds of audio. another flv that is 10 seconds with only video another flv that is 2 seconds with only video Lets assume both video files are as long as my audio file. Which actionscript commands should I look further into to: 1. play audio simultaneously with video 2. play the 2 second video smoothly/seamlessly after the 10 second video is over as if it were a 12 second vide 3. if my audio or video were mp3/wma instead of flv would I run into trouble 4. I imagine a flash media server would be mandatory if my videos were other formats like avi/mpg and had to encode on the fly
