Android :: Actionscript 3 - Send Video File To Desktop In AIR?
Dec 12, 2011
I'm building a mobile AIR application that connects to my desktop AIR application. In the mobile application, I'm recording video with my Android device with flash.media.CameraUI. This works perfectly, but now I'd like to send this file to my desktop application so I can do stuff with it. I've got a server written in AS3 running on my desktop (the application itself) listening to AMF messages on a certain port. I can send data through sockets, I've already tested it with accelerometer data, so that's not the issue.
What would be the best way to send video to my desktop AIR app? I've tried multiple things already; serializing using registerClassAlias, ByteArrays.
I have a problem - How to run AIR (really big desktop application) on my Galaxy Tab 10.1? It's possible convert .air to .apk?
EDIT:
1. I set up a new desktop project (File -> New -> Flex Project)
2. Project name is "simpleTest", Application type is Desktop (runs in Adobe AIR), Flex SDK version 4.6.0 and click to Finish
3. I go to Design mode, then set the width to 500 and height to 250. I add one button by drawing and name it btnOne and make Generate Event Handler
4.Then I go to Project -> Export Release Build (Export as Signed AIR package) -> Next (I apply the certificate) -> Finish
5. I find the project file (...Adobe Flash Builder 4.6simpleTest) and copy simpleTest.air into a new file (simpleTestAPK - which contains my certificate > andCert.p12)
6. I rename "simpleTest.air" to "simpleTest.zip" and from this .zip I unpack just "simpleTest.swf" and "application.xml"
I have an Adobe AIR desktop application, built in Flex Builder 3, that I want to run on an android device, specifically a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. I have put the application on an emulator, going through the steps of installing AIR on the emulator, packaging the application as an APK, and installing the application on the emulator. However, when I click the application, it does not run. Here is my question: is this even possible? Can a desktop application be run on a mobile device with no changes to the code, or does it need to be converted to a mobile application before compiling?
I have this application that is basically the ubiqutous page turning component you can find online, but modified for mobile. It's for kid's storybooks. It's a mobile flex application in FlashBuilder 4.6. When I export release build for my mobile project, I see an option for desktop .air packaging rather than mobile. Works and looks great....but you can't sell a .air file on Mac App Store. I want to bundle the air runtime to create a .app, which hopefully I can get on the app store. However, this option is not available in a mobile project. I've tried figuring it out via commandline...
I working on a project where the client side need to capture video and audio from the camera, use some library (proberly ffmpeg) to convert from mp4 to flv and send it to flash server on realtime,in the other side the client need to get flv and convert it to video type of android on real time. Is it possible to do?
What file should android devices use to view a live video stream? myeventname.f4m? I'm using the following html5 code and it's not working in Android devices. <video id="liveWebcast" poster="poster.jpg" src="[URL]" controls autoplay> </video>
In Python there is a function: os.system(command) that runs the command passed by parameter in the command line, there is something similar in AS3 (or MXML) running an Adobe AIR Desktop Application?
I'm new in AS and trying create util such Youtube's "My webcam". Here's a part of my code:
[Code]....
Can't attach video object or stream to spark.components.VideoPlayer to view video and don't know how to convert video to flv contents for sending in POST form.
I am making an Android app with Flash CS5. I am trying to send information from the app to the user with an E-Mail message. The information is all text, however, just plain text isn't enough. I'd much prefer using HTML formatting or some other way to better show it to the user.Is there a way to send an attachment or at least include HTML formatting inside the body of an e-mail sent from AIR?Right now I can send an E-Mails just fine with avigateToURL I can also include a subject and body for the E-mail. However that is all plain text, and not exactly what I'm looking for.
I'm trying to play two H.264 encoded videos (.mov) within an AS3 desktop application. I have tried publishing both Air and Projector but both are having (different) problems with playback. When testing the swfs within Flash they both work fine.I'm using a simple NetStream function to play the videos from a local directory. Like I said they both run fine within Flash, so I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but have found it difficult to find documentation on streaming locally.
The Air app works best, but can't seem to play the second video. (I also have been having awful trouble getting around security issues of Air as I'm using LocalConnection in another part of the app, so would prefer not to use it).The projector starts playing both videos but very quickly starts to stutter and choke, and eventually freezes the entire app.The Adobe documentation says that it is possible to use NetStream locally, but maybe this isn't the case?
how can we create a application that can capture screen in the form of video with voice or sound.how can it possible in flex their is no problem if we take help from java,red5 or fms or any other tool of adobe.
I am playing a flv video using the videoplayer class of flex. (all the properties of it are being set at runtime)I want to make the video fullscreen without clicking on the fullscreen button i.e. through programming.
I am trying get one of my buttons to link to a PDF file whichwould not open, but would ask the user where to save the file (i.e.to the desktop), is this possible?
Is it possible to drag a file (on the desktop) onto a flash swf or exe file and have Flash open and know what that file is and possibly perform some action on that?Or hints as to where to begin to look for the actionscript functions for that if it might be possible?
Is there any way I can create a slider on my desktop to access some of the controls of the YouTube Video player like volume, pause, play, playback speed? I know it is a flash player, but would this involve accessing the YouTube API or something else? For example, I'd like to program something similar to what's provided by the Enounce MySpeed application (control over play back speed).
I have a mc with the instance name of 'resume'. When clicked, I want a resume to download to the user's desktop. I'm currently doing this:
resume.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, downloadFunction); function downloadFunction(event: MouseEvent) { var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("profile_images/resume.pdf"); navigateToURL(request); }
I haven't put this on the server yet, so I'm just testing it locally, thus the url request not having an actual url address. Is this correct? I use this same code, roughly, for the loading of external links... and images etc. When I test it, the pdf doesn't pop up.
I am a psychology student and have the need to edit a flash game for use in a project. Having no programming experience, this is proving to be an issue! Basically I contacted the authors of a study for a copy of a driving game that records data to an external file (I think this is where shared objects come in?). Unfortunately, I cannot find the output file anywhere on my machine (I am running Windows 7 - have looked in the appropriate directories). After downloading a trial version of CS3, I have edited the screens I needed but have not been able to understand the code. I have located the code for the shared object and was wondering if anyone know how to make it save the SOL file to my desktop. Here is the code I think is appropriate:
I want to create an flash file in which when user clicks on download button, the files from USB(pen drive) will get copied to user's desktop. Is it possible to download/copy whole folder(with all files in it) to user'desktop? or i can only download/copy files?
I have my UiLoader up and my buttons on the main stage. when I saved it to my unit 3 folder which is in my poral folder in flash. I bring it up to test it and I click a button and come up with an error message. Is there a way to fix this.
http://rror #2044: Unhandled ioError:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found. URL: file:///C|/Users/Owner/Desktop/unit3/welcome.swf This is what I get[URL]..
After a lot of head banging i'm still stuck I'm trying to deliver h.264 video over RTMP to a Flex app running on a Motorola Xoom. The BBC Iplayer, Youtube and lots of other video sites have beautiful HD video streaming without issues.
My solution currently encodes video using ffmpeg and plays fine on a desktop. But really appaulingly on the Xoom. I've tried forcing it to use h.264 baseline, and force it to use various levels. Still with no luck.
Has anyone had any luck encoding video for Flash on Android using ffmpeg and got a nice result?
I'm trying to develope a simple video gallery app. It just has a few thumbnails that when clicked, play the select movie in my show movie area.It looks great when I export the .swf and see it on my laptop, but when I install it on my Android phone the movie takes over the whole screen.I am streaming the video via my server. The video dimensions are 800 x 600 on my server, but i only want then 500 x 333 on my app to make room for the thumbs. have set the flvplayback componant to 500 x 333 but everytime I install it onto my android the video just takes up the whole screen.
I'm making a game with Flash CS5.5 and exporting it to a APK file (AIR for Android). The trouble is that the APK file is really just a ZIP file, so you can extract the content and inside there is my game as a regular SWF file. Anyone can upload this to any website and play the game there.
I don't want the SWF file to work unless opened like it should, inside the APK file through Android. Is there any way to know through ActionScript 3 code if the SWF file has been extracted from the APK file and has been opened as a normal SWF file?
I am currently building a movie player which will play movie stored in the FMS with my PC as localhost(later on i will port it to my Android device). However, through the following code, I tried to just simply connect to the localhost to retrieve one of the video, but it keep popping out errors which I don't get it.
nc = new NetConnection(); nc.connect("rtmp://localhost/vod"); ns = new NetStream(nc);
