Communicate With Java From Air Without The Use Of A Server Like Tomcat?

I'm currently working on a project that need to communicate with java from air without the use of a server like Tomcat. For this i found and use Flerry.Communicating between Java and Air is no problem, as long as I try to send a message from the class that I initially instantiated from Air.What I try to do is subscript to messages from a Message Class in java and use that class to send info and errors to Air from Java.
MessageController.java:
public class MessageController
{[code]....
the infoMessageHandler receives an message containing test message, as it should. How can I dispatch messages from whatever class in Java and catch them on the Air side?

One of my web applications have developed in java and using tomcat server. Now I want add one more feature in my application that is peer to peer audio streaming. Actually I want that anyone speak (using microphone) on the client side and I will hear his voice on my server speakers and vice versa. Also save our communication in any file and also send the audio stream to IP intercom.
For that I am trying to use Flex Builder. Flex NetStream class is good for the streaming and we can also attached microphone. But the problem is on the server side. How can I get the audio stream on server side?
how can I get stream from server to client and vice versa?

i am working on a flex+java combined project.My IDE and computer configuration is as follows:

When i make a small change in Flex code (eg, reposition of a button...anything), and run the project on server, it does make any change on output. Actually it depends on my luck... because it makes change in output randomly.what is is happening? tried rebuild, republish, clean , restart server, restarting the IDE, restarting the computer all available feature i could think. Also, i created a simple flex project on IDE and compiled it..... everything is compiled and displayed on output.

I'm coding a web app in flex blazeds and Java. I installed the Eclipse plugins for using WTP mixed project. I'm using flex's server that uses an emulate of tomcat when i ran my flex service the web app got the datas, everythings is ok. the problem is when i copy the project with all files generated by flex in my tomcat or the blazeds's tomcat, it doesn't work, this is becasue i want to implement my app on a server the error is:[code]
i don't know why tomcat doesn't find the class of flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint that is used for my-amf 'URL...'. all works well in the emulated server that flex has.

I write a flex + java application using the blazeds framework. when i write log files in my java classes the default path is the java path on the server. I want it to be my application at the tomcat/webapps/application directory when i write it hard-coded it failed (maybe bacause of permissions) but, i want it to be general (not hard-coded) so, what do i need to change in my java code in order to write files in my webapps directory? maybe it just an xml configuration?

I have a Flex/Java/MySQL/Hibernate application running on tomcat/BlazeDS which have very LOW activity, the user can even not visit it for months.The problem that after a month of inactivity the connections between tomcat and mysql are closed and then I need to restart both the mysql and tomcat servers, is there a way to avoid that and maintain the connection always open?

I have two applications: a client in flex and a server in Java. When I deploying the application inside flex builder with the tomcat server inside as well, everything works fine. But now I'm trying to deploy in apache tomcat outside the flex/eclipse builder and I have a problem.I think the problem is with relative/absolute paths but I do not know how to resolve it.In my Java application I have to access a database and a get a file from it. I use a properties to set a path where I want to download that files like this:pacs.ruta=C:\resources\And then I need to access to that file so in use this code:fin = new FileInputStream(pacsRuta+""+f.getName());where f.getName() gives me the name of the file so I get the path of the file with the path I set in pacs.ruta and the files name.
I do not know why it does not work. I tried to put pacs.ruta=/resources/to associate with a folder in my application but It does not work.Could someone give me an advice? Do you think it is the problem? Because the whole application works fine deploying in a tomcat server outside the flex/eclipse builder but when this code is called the application does not work.

I create a Flex application that works with a browser using a database with the MySQL server that I can create, modify and delete data from a database. The problem I encounter now is that I want to see my program with Adobe AIR (virtual machine). At the display that does not pose a problem. I downloaded OSMF Sample player and opened osmf.html, (C:playerosmf.html)it worked perfectly without any problem.The same file when I deployed onto tomcat server,[URL] I get the error "The specified capability is not currently supported" while debugging.

I have two swf files: swf_sender and swf_receiver. The swf_sender controls the swf_receiver via java script.Everything works fine in IE however, the swf_receiver doesn't receive communication from java script if openned by Safari or Firefox.The first part of communication: swf_sender - Java works ok (I tested it with alert() in Java) in all browsers.Here is my Java interface code:

I'm making a program in flash builder 4.5 using WebOrb 4 (which is fantastic, I might add). When I go to deploy, however, it gives me this error:

(I have on a server an mp3, and the server is HTTPS that requires an certificate and a key (TLS) and I need to get that mp3 on flash) I found some classes (Crypto) but there the TLS it's only partial implemented and support for client-side certificates is not implemented yet.

Cen i communicate to FMS from browser not with swf. For example - by javascript from user side or by C# from IIS server side.
I need to built a live chat appliction where the swf only get the live streem and show it to the user but all the other logic code that communicate to FMS will be not in the swf and not in some *.exe file.
I need this because this live chat appliction will have to work on apple ipad and iphone soon when FMS will be able to stream to those devices and i will have to abandon the swf anyway.

I have made an AIR application where the file communicates with a PHP file in order to display data.I have WAMP installed on my computer, and the application works when I test locally using WAMP but if I upload the php on an online server(I tried on two of my servers) and run the AIR application it seems that it doesn't communicate with the server so no data are displayed.

This is how I call for the php on AS3, like shown above.The php file gives no errors when I browse it online so, I suppose there something else going on?

I have a swf file stored locally on a linux machine, that is launched on boot up via opera. the swf communicates with the server to login and retrieve xml data, and then loads other swfs on the server.
i have added the crossdomain.xml to the root of my server, and added the appropriate System.security.allowDomain('my domain').
this process works fine on a windows machine, but with the linux setup, the call to login with 'sendAndLoad' does not return a successful result.

With normal Flash SWF's I use URLRequest to communicate with external servers/sites to send/retreive data from a database - pretty standard stuff. But can iPhone apps published from the CS5 environment communicate with external servers/sites?I'm still organising my development license for the iphone, so want to check before I fork out the money for the registration.

I am writing a game where positions of an object are being exchanged between the two flash clients through a java server. The secnario goes simply like this:
PlayerA ---> Server : "Position X + Position Y+
"
Server ---> PlayerB: "Position X + Position Y+
"
and it works both ways of course.the problem here is that on my computer where i use "localhost" everything is fine and the data is exchanged seamlessly .. when I loaded the server on a remote host the message received strangely turns into something like "Position X + NaN" (i.e. the y position is wrongly parsed by the server), what is weird even more, is that sometimes, the message gets parsed correctly..the server is wrote in java and it is exactly the same source code that works on my machine that fails over the internet

I love django, and I like flex. Django for it's cool debugging system (those yellow pages helps a lot to find bugs in my code), and flex for it possibilities. Recently I come across a problem. If I create a form in flex and then communicate with the django server, I can't see any debugging info (when the exception happens in django). Not sure, if there is a way to get the debugging info, because it is not accessible in command line (no error output), or in firebug.... Also I tried to create a quick html form, and post same data as I send from flex form, but it's a bit of pain to be honest. Will be happy to listen how do you solve the problem

Since I'm developing a multiplayer card game for Facebook using Flex as client side and Java SE as server side, I wanted to know how do I actually make the connection between Flex and Java? the server and client should be able to send each other data(cards,movement,room information etc...) across and I wonder what's the easiest way to do it without complicating it. where to read about it ? I was looking for the source code of flex-rds-server.jar at the BlazeDS distro but I could not find it. I did some research, but could neither find this project nor an explanation of what is inside this jar. So, I guess it is not open source. Is that right? I'm right now trying to write a maven pom.xml to make a service project and seems that adobe (at least the blazeds project) is not maven friendly at all. I had to download the blazeds source code to be able to install it in my local repository, that was fine. But right now I bumped into this flex-rds-server.jar and I'm having a huge headache.
