I have a swf playing video from a rackspace webserver. When I play the swf on a local machine, pulling video frames from the webserver, it works fine. But when I put this swf on the webserver and access it via browser, it doesnt show up.I checked for swf mime type in IIS, it was enabled

first off im confused in each edge server i set them to be remote, rtmp and changed the routeentry to <RouteEntry>*:*;96.44.***.***:1935</RouteEntry> on both servers
orgin server is just local
what my question is im streaming to orgin and its getting sent to 1 edge and other edge is doing nothing no traffic the stream i set it this way url:
'rtmp://173.254.***.***/live/live_test',
which is the 1 edge thats working if i setup another channel pointing to the other edge server ip adresss it doesnt work.. what am i doing wrong isnt all this supposed to be load balanced or am i missing steps...or did i do it wrong on the flash player config.
I have received a CD Rom with an .exe file on it. I only have an old Windows XP box (from 2001) but it doesn't play on it Is that possible? Do I need to find a vista box?houldn't these flash exe files be XP compatible? Sorry we only have Macs here so I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to Windows machines.ed some light on this or confirm before I request another disc or purchase a vista CD ROM?

I made a music Player swf and it works properly by itself.I recently tried to load it into my main FLA for my website by using Import to Library,and then I dragged it from there into my canvas.For whatever reason, upon rendering it does not work at all, it shows up but none of the functions work and the music doesnt play.Also I tried doing it like this:
I made a preloader that would load the Swf and it actually worked and the functions were all there,however there were 2 problems.First problem was that I did not know how to control where it loaded so it was over my main text and not in the right area.Second problem, for whatever reason the preloader would re run and load the SWF again everytime a function went off (like clicking on one of the buttons or rolling over something that had a color tween) which resulted in it loading like a bunch of the same swf and being a problem.
URL...I am running application instance that implements publisher/subscriber on video streams. Application code is very thin and can be removed completetly if required. In a specific time, randomly, disconnect messages stopped happening which causes the folowing:
1. Streaming service shows decrease of bw per second
2. Users count is increasing linearly.
3. No disconnect messages apears on access.0x.log

My problem is, when i come to put it into dreamweaver ready to upload and I preview it in Firefox, or any other broswer, all the pages work but no the XML gallery? Im gettin very stressed out now as all my file routesetc are correct?I have googled the problem and all I have found out is that it could be something to do with security?Does anybody know how to resolve this problem

In some cases, if given parameters are not valid, then rails return an error feed with status code = 422 as following email is wrong
But I dont get this feed in FaultEvent of Flex, How could i read error feed?
I got a bunch of live stream from FMLE, say: "FMLE_channel1", "FMLE_channel2", "FMLE_channel3". And then on the server side, I created several corresponding republished stream called "channel1", "channel2", "channel3".
On periodical basis, we call Stream.get("channel1").play("FMLE_channel1", -1, 10, true) every 10 seconds. Similar things were done on the second channel & third channel.Soon after the above Stream.get("channel1").play() call, I should get the following events in sequence:info :NetStream.Unpublish.Successinfo :NetStream.Publish.Startinfo :NetStream.Play.Resetinfo :NetStream.Play.Start In the above case all are happy. Clients can view channel1, channel2, channel3 well.But then after a while, one of the three channels, in most case it would be channel1, will not be viewable.
With the server trace info, I found that after the Stream.get("channel1").play() call, only the following two events exists:
info :NetStream.Unpublish.Successinfo :NetStream.Publish.Starti.e. I was missing the play.reset and play.start event.I further checked and confirmed that the FMLE was publishing all three channels fine to the server. I was able to view the "FMLE_channel1" from flash clients, but not the republished "channel1". the version is FMS 3.5.0.

I would like to show the live TV video on Flash player from my TV tunner. Is it possible to do it without FMS like using Webcam?
It will not be running on the internet/network and only for a computer that have TV tunner. (Ideally: open a swf and you can watch a TV tunner by flash player). But i cannot find any information if i can do it without FMS.

I am able to successfully use the "Live View" function within CS4. I am also able to successfully preview within IE and Firefox. I've put all files in the appropriate location on the remote server. All files are in my /wwwroot/, except the two files that are in the Script folder, which is in my root. My domain host claims flv files are supported, and Adobe technical support eperiences the same behavior as I, they can play locally, but not remotely. Adobe technical support claims the cause of the problem is the remote server.
I published a Flash movie in CS4, which includes the following ActionScript 3.0 code to allow people to click the movie to open a new web page; but it will not play from the web server...however, it plays just fine from my local hard drive in Firefox and IE 7.It is an html file with an embedded .swf and I made sure to copy over the swfObject.js, AC_ActvieX.js, AC_RunActiveContent.js, expressInstall.swf, and swfobject_modified.js files to the correct directories. The address is: [URL] and as you will see, there are no errors...just a blank page. I even tried changing the script from:

I have an *.flv file on a FMS. When I play it on the client side the video plays just fine, but when I call Stream.play(filename, 0, -1, false) on the server side the video turns out really choppy.I both cases I use NetConnection to connect to an rtmp and NetStream to play the stream, but in one case I connect to a stream and request the server to play my file on that stream. Apparently that doesn't work with files? It works just fine for live streams.
View 20 RepliesI am streaming pre recorded audio files (mp4) to an AIR client. I have tried two different solutions,
streaming the file directly with the NetStream.play("mp4:xxxxx.m4a") and creating a server side playlist, adding the same sound clip and then streaming the playlist. The problem is, when streaming the playlist i get a few NetStream.Play.InsufficientBW, this does not happen when streaming the file direct. Both solutions uses bufferTime=1.0
I would like to use a server side playlist to implement a simple key solution so that the client dont know the full path to the file, but instead sends a key to a custom server side function that looks up the file path and creates a stream for the client.
We use FMIS (3.5) to distribute our videos, but how can I use HTML5 to view them without duplicating the video to the HTTP VOD directory.Can I point to the application FMS file location like I can with RTMP in some way?

I first must right click and select play. When I was testing my flash site on another server, it worked great and played automatically. Is there something within flash that I need to modify or is this an issue with the server?

View 1 RepliesI have a Flash slideshow that will only play in a browser if I click File > Open and open the .swf file locally and directly (not in a web page). It has never played in a webpage, remotely on the web server or locally on the Wamp server. It plays correctly in Flash when I test it.I have tried uploading the HTML page that Flash generates (without any changes), and it won't even play in that file. I'm doing a project like youtube. After some try, I can run FMS, dynamic playlist and flowplayer (I think this is what I need, am I right?) However, when I try to combine them, I discover a lot of problems. I follow this [URL] beginner_dynstre am_fms.html to learn about FMS, this [URL] to learn about dynamic playlist, this [URL] to learn about flowplayer. In the tutorial, the dynamic playlist cant run with FMS (even the tutorial says can, but when I try it, it cant!), and it is using Flash and as(AS3), the flowplayer is using html and js, I really cont know how to combine these 3 things together.

I have started a stream from Flash media encoder to flash media server. According to my encoder, it should be located at: "rtmp://localhost/live" and is called livestream.In the Flash software I try and set the source of FLVPlayback component to rtmp://localhost/live/livestream", and I get this error: "NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound : Adobe Flash tried to play a live or recorded stream that does not exist. Source can't be found.". Both the server and encoder is runnind and I am encoding.

Ive updated to CS5 and now I have problems with the flash I am working on,when I export the timer doesnt work,in stead of saying **mins it just says mn with no number.Ive reloaded flash several times but still doing it,altho once it worked the first time I exported it but not again. No problem on CS4. Im guessing it must be some action script it doesnt like, unless something is corrupt on my computer.
