Jun 12, 2010I'm looking for a way to have an .mp3 file play in a website without relying on a flash-based player. I've searched w3 schools and every forum I can think of, but every media player I've found so far has been some sort of proprietary flash player.
Doesn't HTML support some sort of native player? I've found some that rely on Windows Media Player which is close, but I want the player to work on an iPhone and something tells me WMP won't get that done.

May 30, 2010I want to be able to record 5-30 sec "green screen" segments on my video camera, extract them from the background, save it as DECENT QUALITY flash that can be embedded in my company website (small motorcycle dealership in Sweden) so that I can reach my customers in a better way. I have seen a website that does this and truly want to learn it. I am willing to buy whatever software is necessary.

Jan 25, 2012I'm creating website which needs video stream from surveillance camera implemented. Camera is GeoVision GV-FD120D 1.3Mpix LowLux IR 2.7-9mm and it is linked to server which I have full access to (I dont have direct access to camera)
I was playing around with settings on this cam and I managed to turn on RTSP protocol access for this camera. Then I used VLC (on server) to open network stream with address: [URL]Works!
Ideally I would like to show the video in player like jwplayer , however it does not support RTSP protocol, but RTMP instead.
So I guess I would need some kind of software on this server to:
1) transcode the video stream from RTSP -> RTMP
2) stream it out from server so I can connect to it with jwplayer later
I heard of Wowza media server but the budget is pretty tight for this project so would rather use free solution here.

Aug 5, 2009 i'm wanting to create a flash animation and embed it into my website.i used to do this with a gif image within a DIV and make the position of the DIV vary via javascript so that the image moved across the screen. i'm looking now for a more professional touch via Flash.
A gif's background is transparent so as it moves over differen't areas of the webpage it shows not the bounding rectangle but
only the character image itself. Is this possible via flash - or will flash always be a boxed image that is moved?

May 15, 2011I have recently launched a site for a client which includes an interactive flash element on the home page but it takes a long time to load (10-30seconds). I have followed advice from others about keeping image small and link movies rather than embed but still slow, the swf file is about 7.9mb which i thought was ok for the size of flash file. Does anyway else know where I have gone wrong whether it be the embedding or some other area.

Feb 10, 2012Making a piano/keyboard application and trying to figure out the best way to set this up .I plan on having a directory of sounds for each 'instrument' in my assets folder (piano1/C4.mp3,piano1/D4.mpg,...)Is there a way to import/embed all of these as an array? Also is there a way I can pass a variable to this class to indicate which folder I want to import these from? Something that would be ideal

Sep 16, 2010I am working on a project that requires multiple fonts. In addition, the .fla file will be passed around to a number of people who will make changes. I have a website where I host the .swf and could also host font files (.ttf).
Is it possible to embed a font file (.ttf) from a website?
Example: When someone opens the fla file or swf file, it gets the font file from the URL. That URL would be defined when I originally created the fla file.
Play Videos In Flash File After Moving SWF File To Website?
Oct 8, 2009I am having some problems showing my videos in flash after moving it anywhere besides my computer.
I published my flash file once as a exe. file and sent it to another computer, where it all worked but my videos, which didn't show up at all.
I also published them as SWF files, then put them up on my free website (where i don't have access to the ftp) and the videos still aren't there.
The videos will play fine in an SWF file on my computer, but i am assuming when they are away from the videos, they don't have a source to access them.
I also tried sending the videos along with the SWF files when sending to other computers and it still doesn't work.
I now have a free hosted website (with wix.com if that makes any difference) with my flash work on, but no videos. I even tried to embed a youtube video into the scenes the videos are meant to appear, and put the videos on youtube, then i discovered you can't put that sort of HTML into flash.
how to show the videos on these sort of website, or even better, how to keep them in original file when sending them, so they show on other computers.

Aug 12, 2009I have this swf file, i don't have the .fla file for it. I need it to be able to play in my current .fla file when called upon. I also really need it to be embedded. Don't ask me why, but the client wants only one swf file, and if i load the swf in as an external file the program they use, will not be able to display this loaded swf file. My flash file works perfectly when i load it in as external and put it into a movieclip, but that's just not what my client wants.So i was thinking of embedding it, i don't know if i'm thinking of this in the wrong way, and maybe you all have some suggestions for me. I don't know how to embed it. i'm using flash cs3 and ActionScript 3. I tried importing it straight to my library and to my stage, but i end up with just a couple of graphic images that don't work at all. I've tried everything i know of, read all threats i could find about it, but it seems embedding is impossible or just not done. what could i do to fix this?

Jul 10, 2011If you embed a flv file in a flash file(fla), then you publish it and get a swf file.
You send it to your friend the swf file.
When your friend opens the swf file, if he clicks on the part where there is a embedded video, There should be an error if you did not send him the embedded video.
But for my case, I have both fla file(source) and the swf file. When I run the swf file in flash, it runs smoothly. When I open the fla file and see, there is an embedded video but I dont have the embedded video source.
if I do not have the embedded video source, when i run the swf, there shoudl be an error where there is an embedded flv file but it seems to run that part as well.

My boss wants the users of the course to begin in a PDF document. When they get to the end of the unit, she wanted the users to click a link to start that exercise (the Flash projector file).
This is a pain because Acrobat will not launch .exe files due to security reasons. Although I have created a self-closing, launcher html page that can be launched from Acrobat, the user is bombarded by warnings from Windows regarding launching the .exe because it is being launched from a html file.
how to embed a PDF within Flash? My idea is to create a Flash .exe with the PDF file built in.
