Flash :: Create A Flash Animation And Embed It Into Website?

i'm wanting to create a flash animation and embed it into my website.i used to do this with a gif image within a DIV and make the position of the DIV vary via javascript so that the image moved across the screen. i'm looking now for a more professional touch via Flash.
A gif's background is transparent so as it moves over differen't areas of the webpage it shows not the bounding rectangle but
only the character image itself. Is this possible via flash - or will flash always be a boxed image that is moved?

I am using Flash 8 and would like to create an animation for my future website.What I would like to do is the following:
I want to create an animated menu looking similar to the attached flash animation. The menu buttons will be a variety of 11 images arranged in an oval circle with the website logo located in the center of this oval circle. The mentioned oval circle should spin either left or right depending on which side of the animation the mouse pointer is located and stop if the mouse pointer is in the center/middle of the animation.
As the images move to the front (during the circular but slightly tilted motion) they should have a similar zoom in effect like the one in the attached animation and zoom out again when moving back into the background.
I am sure that this kind of animation is very simple when using Action Script but I am not such an advanced user to know what code I would need to write.

I'm looking for a way to have an .mp3 file play in a website without relying on a flash-based player. I've searched w3 schools and every forum I can think of, but every media player I've found so far has been some sort of proprietary flash player.
Doesn't HTML support some sort of native player? I've found some that rely on Windows Media Player which is close, but I want the player to work on an iPhone and something tells me WMP won't get that done.

I want to be able to record 5-30 sec "green screen" segments on my video camera, extract them from the background, save it as DECENT QUALITY flash that can be embedded in my company website (small motorcycle dealership in Sweden) so that I can reach my customers in a better way. I have seen a website that does this and truly want to learn it. I am willing to buy whatever software is necessary.

I'm creating website which needs video stream from surveillance camera implemented. Camera is GeoVision GV-FD120D 1.3Mpix LowLux IR 2.7-9mm and it is linked to server which I have full access to (I dont have direct access to camera)
I was playing around with settings on this cam and I managed to turn on RTSP protocol access for this camera. Then I used VLC (on server) to open network stream with address: [URL]Works!
Ideally I would like to show the video in player like jwplayer , however it does not support RTSP protocol, but RTMP instead.
So I guess I would need some kind of software on this server to:
1) transcode the video stream from RTSP -> RTMP
2) stream it out from server so I can connect to it with jwplayer later
I heard of Wowza media server but the budget is pretty tight for this project so would rather use free solution here.

I have read that you can only embed Animated Gif if you want to send emails containing animation. Is this true, or can Flash be embedded somehow where a user receives the email and when they open the message the animation is playing in the email and not as an attachment file.
Also is it possible to make the embedded animation interactive, where the user can click on a next button, to go thru a slide of images?

I'm building a website and decided I was going to work with a pre-built web template. Problem is, as I painfully found out, my host wants the file structure of the site a very certain way (html pages in the root directory, media-files folder, image-files folder, support-files folder following that). I had to go through the template and recode a good bit of it myself (only knowing HTML, while the site is written in HTML, CSS, Java, and Flash). I've gotten the vast majority of the site working now.. on my computer at least.
I went through the flash file and corrected the directories so it could find the background pictures it needs and saved the file. Now, when I hit CTRL+Enter in CS4, the preview comes up correction and works flawlessly. However, when I bring the file up in firefox, the flash animation is STILL missing the background images. Also, I need to move a related file to the flash animation into another folder, but when I do that the text disappears, even after correcting the directory in flash.
The template I'm working with can be found here : Click. The flash animation in question is on the mid-left side of that page, where you can click the arrow to proceed through 4 different slides. Also having problems with the logo of the site, where the text will disappear if I move the related file I was talking about (A text file).

I've also tested the site in Internet Explorer, same problem. I'm guessing there's probably a simple fix for this, but being unfamiliar with flash I just don't know it...

I have recently launched a site for a client which includes an interactive flash element on the home page but it takes a long time to load (10-30seconds). I have followed advice from others about keeping image small and link movies rather than embed but still slow, the swf file is about 7.9mb which i thought was ok for the size of flash file. Does anyway else know where I have gone wrong whether it be the embedding or some other area.

When you mouse over an area, a bit of explanatory text is revealed by animating a mask over some text. The text is left displayed until a mouseover of a different area occurs.Let's call the three mouseover targets A, B, and C.A MOUSE_OVER event listener is registered for all three targets. I wanted to create a simple flash contact form for my flash website. I went through Lee's tutorial on how to create the contact form and PHP file to go with it. I've uploaded everything to my server and tested the form. My flash form consists of Name, Subject, Message, and Email fields. When I receive the email all that comes through is this with none of the actual message that was written IN the contact form:
Name: Subject: Message: Email: The 'From' field is also blank. I don't know if my problem is with flash, my PHP code, or with my server. Can someone take a look at this and tell me what's wrong? I can't seem to find any errors from Lee's tutorial with my code or labeling.

There are twelve buttons that onclick go to a certain page labled in the movie clip "pages." I am trying to figure out how to get buttons 9-12 to be on the pages movie so when people click button 2 the pages will display page2 but with button 9 on it and button 9 has an onclick that goes to page9. I have everything working for the 12 buttons on the first page but when i drag the button to the stage of the movie clip "pages" it does go to that page directed to. I had the correct label names down and everything. The buttons work find if they are on the main scene but don't work in the movie clip. To solve this problem i just kept them on the main page, I may try to put them in the mouse over on the main page to solve this problem. Ok first frame is has this code. it's been a while since I used flash and i'm wondering what is the simplest way to create a visualization of a realistic 3d bulding with animations like window closing, door opening etc.I gues it's made in some 3d software and exported to .swf, but it sounds a bit complicated to create a 3d model in 3d studio export it in collada, import it with pv3d to have only a house with 3 quite simple moving elements.

I am a newbie programmer and i dont yet have any idea of the WEB. I wish to start learning a technology that will allow me to build websites( database driven) i dont know which one to choose. I know some actionscript3 and flash. Is it possible to create a database driven website using these alone? Or do i need to learn any other technology? If i do then what should i learn? I'm trying to create a flash menu for my website. Only the menu. I have it so when you roll over a button a new movieclip plays. When you click on the button it takes you to a new page. When you leave the cursor on the button the MC loops.I want to make it so when you roll off of the button the MC stops playing and plays the previously "clicked on" button's MC. Right now when you rolloff the loaded MC continues to loop.For example. I go to the website and click on a new page. A movieclip plays and loops if i go the menu and roll over a new button a new MC plays. And when I roll off of that button the old MC plays.
