Flash :: Pass Parameters In Flex 3 To Variables In A Swf File Using Swfloader?

I've created a Flash Animation (CS5, ActionScript 3) and converted it to SWF. The flash animation needs the values of 3 variables (defined in the swf timeline) BEFORE it starts running in my Flex application. I've embedded the swf file using swfloader in Flex, but I need to pass the parameters from Flex into Flash before the animation starts. How do I do this?
The way I have my flex code setup below, the variables are not being updated. I get an exception every time it gets to the changeParams function because it can't find "Type", "Num1", etc.

i'm using swfloader to load swf file in the middle of the screen using the following command:

now stage of the flash file takes the exact size that i stated by the flash file itself is overlapping the stage with some graphics

I've created a very simple video player that I want to use with many different FLV files on my site. Rather than packaging SWF files with each FLV, I'd like to just design one SWF file and have the corresponding HTML file pass the URL of the FLV as a parameter to the SWF. I've read a lot about passing in parameters from HTML to SWF using AS3, and it seems pretty straightforward. Here's an example of the code I created using Flash CS3 and ActionScript 3.0:

Note that I'm using the variable "userName" to pass the parameter. Eventually I'd use a variable like "movieURL" to convey the actual URL of the FLV file. In any case, when I run the code, I get ... nothing! Nothing but a blank text box. Both the HTML and SWF files are on my local machine.
If I uncomment the "//traceText.text = Loaded" line, the text box says "Loaded", which would indicate that the event listener is functioning properly.

pass variables from one flash file to another? Basically there's a flash navigator that has multiple links in it. Once clicked it needs to pass a variable to go to another keyframe in another flash file. I'm guessing the receiving flash needs to be able to receive a variable and if variable == a certain variable it goes to and plays a specific keyframe.

I have 2 skins, almost identical, but differ in 1 small way that can be accounted for if I could pass a Boolean to the skin while assigning it to the host component (a button).

Flex3 + Cairngorm. I have my service in Servicis.mxml:

And I call it from my generic restful delegate like this:

EDIT: I'll explain myself if you didn't understand my problem: I have a restful api written in rails to which I'm connecting. Doc is a child resource of Job. If I want to get all docs I have to supply a job_id too. Therefore in the service the url must be changed for each .send() call, with the proper job_id (the ??? part above). I'd like to call it like myDelegate.index({job_id:34}) and insert that job_id field in the Service URL.

i want to create instance of mxml (in my case EventList) and pass parameters. My Event List is a list of panels so I want to pass parameters and generate dynamically n number of panels (n-parameter to pass). I have the main app where I have toggle button bar when I click on the first I want for example to generate 3 panels (n=3) on the second button 20 panels (n=20) etc.How can I do this? I have one Swfloader. This swfloader loads file A.swf.On creationComplete event, File A.swf loads another swf(file B.swf).
Everything works fine when I run the application once in the same machine.But when I run two or more instance of the application, the first works fine (both file A and B are loaded) but the second swf (file B) is not loaded by file A.why the first swf (file A) doesn't load file B, when the application is running in multiple instance ?

I currently have a file set up that imports and external text file and displays the parameters in the text file in separate dynamic text fields. No problem there. the text file reads: param1 = 300śm2 = 450śm3 = 500 However, what I want to be able to do, is set parameters that rather than defining text strings, define numeric values. I want to be able to use those numeric values to set the x position of an instance of an animated MC on the stage (animated with actionscript). I want to pass parameters when an event is triggered. My function:
private function keyChange(e:KeyboardEvent, setValue:Boolean):void
so that I can use the same function to set if a key is up or down. How would I write the event listener? I tried:
stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, keyChange(,true)); however that didn't work.
