I want to create simple registration form in Flash and using php-mysql can anyone give me any source of tutorial for Flash-PHP Mysql Connectivity or any example ?
and if i use Flash instead of Simple HTML so Packet sniffing software still able to capture the data ? Software like Wireshark
I want to use flash because I want to secure Login credentials POST Method without using SSL so i'm thinking to develop registration in flash for security

I've created a product registration form for my website and the basics of it work fine, ie when I click submit the info successfully gets e-mailed to me. I'd like to expand the functionality of it, however. As is, I get an e-mail regardless if any of the fields are filled in or not. I'd like for users to be directed to an error page when the e-mail field is blank and a thank you page otherwise. How would I do this? I imagine it can either be done directly in flash or would the php instruct the browser to navigate to the error or thank you page? Key is I don't want the form to be submitted if the email is blank.

I have a form with 5 mandatory fields and 2 of which are combo boxes.My problem is I can't get the required fields to work, the form works perfectly fine and goes to the form success frame and sends out all the information in the fields (even if they are left blank)I am on AS2.0. The registration form is a movie clip itself with the send button on the same level and not inside the movie clip.
"theCat_registration" & "theTSize_registration" are the combo boxes. This is the AS in my send button

i am having a problem with the combobox component.i have a mysql database with a student and a class table.i want to make a registration form for the student. i have the combobox here where he picks his class (populated from the class table). The class_id is a foreign key to the student table and it's invisible in the combobox. i want when the students registers from his selection on the combobox to write in the database the corresponding class_id.

I have FMS 3.5.2 installed on a VMWare CentOS image running under OS X. I have the CentOS IP mapped to the host "fms.vm" on both the host (OS X) and CentOS machine and can access the FMS Admin just fine, either via a browser on OS X or a browser on CentOS. No problem there.

I have made a program in Flex for creating simple schedules, similar to MS Project or Vico Control. I have one problem that I would like to solve. (You can see it here: OnTime Project Scheduling tool made in Flex
The tasks of the schedule are represented as Gantt Chart, for which I created a itemRenderer inside one of the rows in the DataGrid. The tasks are shown as gantt diagrams, but I would also like to show the connectivity between tasks.

Is there any event to detect internet conectivity in flex or actionscript3.I tried URLMonitor and networkInfo classes,is there any other event to detect because in URLMonitor class I need to add an url to it which is not possible in my case and in networkInfo class,it does not get called every time. My requirement is when the application and suddenly if the connection goes off I need to raise an error.

I have a super involved and somewhat silly site I've been working on for a long time piecing together fragments of AS2 code and modifying them to the best of my limited ability.The site is here:http:[url]....I am finally adding the last steps, a series of contact forms with a PHP script in the back end. Anyway, I implemented a form script and have it triggered by clicking the "CONTACT" button you can see on the lower bar. So, click contact and once the form opens (an external SWF loaded into an MC), type away and everything works fine unless you use the letter "f" in either upper or lowercase. It causes the screen to flash and for the form input to lose focus.It works (in that you can enter everything normally -- the form doesn't function, but that's just the PHP which I have yet to edit.)

Has anyone got a bit of code I can use to change the center point DisplayObjects rotate around in a 3D space? I need it to work with rotationX, rotationY and rotationZ. I know theres a workaround of wrapping every object in aother sprite and offsetting the x & y positions but I'd much prefer a math solution. I have a symbol created out of a bitmap image. When I converted the "bitmap" to a "movieclip" object, I selected the center registration point in the dialog box. After the symbol is created an placed on the stage, I can seen the registration point at the center of the movieclip. Nevertheless, if I check the coordinates of the movieclip, it refers to the top left corner instead of the registration point. The most strange thing is that if I try to check the coordinates of the movieclip using Actionscript - something like trace("x: " + mc._x + "y: " + mc._y); - it do refers to the center point of the movieclip. So how can I have the coordinates during design time the same as during runtime? Why do I always have to refer to the top left corner and not to the ACTUAL registration point?

I am trying to create a simple form using Actionscript 3 that will collect data from a form, then pass that data to an asp file. Is there a way to extend only the bottom part of a dynamic Movieclip? I tried to change the height or to scale my mc but it always makes the change relativity to the center of the Movieclip. I guess I should define a registration point and change the height according to it but i'm not sure of how to do it

I'm trying to see if there's a way to change the registration point of a MovieClip that's importing an image dynamically?Here is my code where I add an image to an "overlayHolder":
overlayBitmap = _loader.getBitmap( _data.id + "-overlay_image" );
overlayHolder.addChild(overlayBitmap);
overlayHolder.x = _data.overlay_left;
overlayHolder.y = _data.overlay_top;
What I need to do is rotate this image later on, upon interaction from someone, but need it to rotate with a center-registration.I've seen a bunch of tutorials/forums talk about centering a registration point when you're drawing a Sprite on the stage, but not when you're importing an image.

To load an image onto a movieclip, the mc's registration point must be top left. Is there a way of loading the image on the whole movieclip, when it's reg point is not top left. In other words to set where to start putting the image in reference to the movieclip

When you create shape on stage and right click and chose create object you can chose Registration point for the object..you chose what corner will be used as center of coordinates for this object. Now onice you create object is there way to change this registration point e.g. i created it in center now i want to to be in upper left corner?

I am having some issues with a php email form that I am using in my AS3 project. the form works perfect and all communication is good.however when the user is on the page and wants to tab to the next text field it jumps to one of my hyperlinks on the same page and not to the next text field down on the php form.
is there any way to stop this from happening.I have tried placing the php form on a seperate layer in a seperate mc and I have done the same with the hyperlinks .you can see what I mean by visiting this development site.(after entering go to contact)http:[url].....

I have only two fields Name and Email in a Order form and a PayPal button for payment at PayPal ( into my account).I can do the mail portion but have no idea about PayPal code, however on search here I found one code and after pasting this one to the PayPal button it redirects to my PayPal account.But the question is anybody can post a message and leave the site without paying me. How can I do this thing so that the user will forced to pay before posting the mail form.

I'm struggling to get the form to to go to a new frame once the form button has been submitted. [URL]Using ActionScript 2.0 The submit button is at this following path:
Scene -> txt8 (MC) -> t8.1 (MC)
The button has the following code on:

The next from frame that i'm asking it to go to, is directly after the txt8 MovieClip. Both the the txt8 MovieClip and NextFrame have stop(); code on them.The form submits all the info into the database, I just can't get it to load the next frame.

I have an HTML form that I want to upload to MySQL with PHP. That part's easy, but the thing is I want the submit button to be a Flash object. Somehow I need the Flash button to submit the form, but I think I can figure that out. The tricky part is that I need it to set another PHP variable before submitting the form. The variable will be determined by a bunch of stuff, but I can code that in actionscript later. I just need to figure out how to pass the variable back to the webpage. A $_POST variable would probably be fine.
edit: What if the flash object returned some javascript and set a variable that way? making it submit the form as well while still catching a variable?

I have always wondered this functionality but would like to know what your approach is for this task:
Lets say a project requires three forms screens:
Screen 1 is user info
Screen 2 is product Survey
Screen 3 is Contact info
All three forms will be generated on runtime. So the application cycles starts with Screen 1 which has the usual user info fields such: First Name, Last Name, Email and until user fills in all three fields, application will now allow the user to go on the screen 2.
I have only dealth with one screen form and have never programmed a segmented form. I usually declare a BOOLEAN and set it to false and after making sure that all the fields are filled then the BOOLEAN Value is set to true and user is able to submit the form.
Now having to deal with 3 different forms, how do you handle such situation. Does one need to set Boolean value to false for each screen when the screen is initialized or loaded first?
